RAF ‘Pauses Job Offers For White Men’ to Meet ‘Impossible’ Diversity Targets

The head of RAF recruitment has resigned in protest at an “effective pause” on offering jobs to white male recruits in favour of women and ethnic minorities, defence sources have claimed. Sky News has more.

The senior female officer apparently handed in her notice in recent days amid concerns that any such restrictions on hiring, however temporary and limited, could undermine the fighting strength of the Royal Air Force (RAF), the sources said.

They said the service was attempting to hit “impossible” diversity targets.

The defence sources accused Air Chief Marshal Sir Mike Wigston, the head of the RAF, of appearing willing to compromise U.K. security at a time of growing threats from Russia and China in pursuit of albeit important goals such as improving diversity and inclusion.

One of the defence sources noted how General Sir Patrick Sanders, the head of the army, has likened today’s security challenges to those in the build-up to the Second World War, warning that the U.K. is facing its “1937 moment”.

“Then you look at the head of the RAF and he’s prepared to break the operational requirement of the air force just to meet diversity [targets],” the source said.

“I think he needs to be hauled up by the Ministry of Defence and told: This is the defence agenda, get on it.”

I don’t think most people in the UK see race as an issue. Some do, but the vast majority don’t (particularly in the under 50’s). The problem is white people are being made to see colour, being made to feel marginalised, being made to feel less. As a white male I’m constantly told how privileged I am, and yet my experience is not one of privilege, it’s one of hard work and dogged determination (all against a backdrop of increasingly bizarre hatred towards me as I had the temerity to not only be born white, but also to be born with a penis). It’s starting to feel that the indigenous (or as indigenous as our rich history dictates) that white people who were good enough to die in hundreds of thousands (almost entirely men) for their country in successive wars, were good enough to embrace a multicultural society with friendly, welcoming arms, are now not good enough. Not good enough for a part of society who see us as an inconvenience. That the land and infrastructure that our forefathers built, are now something that the people who built it should be excluded from; like someone whose irritatingly calling on squatters… Read more »

Great post. Totally onboard with that. I thought this was interesting reading this morning; in the NL the far-right FvD are aiming to open their first primary school here soon. So obviously no woke bollocks on the curriculum there then. I’m curious how this will take off, if it will at all, and how popular such a place will actually be. First I’ve heard of it and not many deets but I’ll be following this one. Very intriguing. Actually I’m losing track with the many types of school there are now as such a variety did not exist when I was a schoolkid in the ’80s/’90s. Our 10yr old just goes to the local mainstream Dutch school but I’m going to be paying more attention to what she’s getting taught in the next academic year.

“as indigenous as our rich history dictates”

Genetic archaeology has shown that the “White British” are overwhelmingly descended from the people who were living here 4,000 years ago.

Even if the myth of majority Anglo-Saxon ancestry for the English was true, that would mean that our ancestors were here many centuries before the ancestors of the Maoris, Navajo and Zulus reached their current locations, and I’ve never seen anybody dispute their indigenous status.

That is simply because they’re not white.

Excellent points. It’s about creating division and trying to fracture a largely harmonised and cohesive society that in day to day terms just gets on with it. Stuff adverts, billboards, voiceovers, TV shows, films full of completely unrepresentative absurd numbers of black people and you marginalise white people, imply that they are somehow ‘problematic’ and you stoke resentment. Then in your tiny little underdeveloped mind, you can point at angry whitey and yell “See? I told you they were prejudiced and intolerant.”

Critical Race Theory, the crown jewel in this obnoxious turd, posits that Joe the middle aged white guy who sits on cardboard outside our Tesco express next to his paper change cup has more ‘privilege’ than the daughters of multi-millionaire former president of the USA Barak Obama.

It’s time everyone grew a pair and started telling these morons to get fucked.

If anyone starts talking about ‘white privilege’ near me, they get the ‘…and that privilege is deserved, bought and paid for by my ancestors who lived short and often brutal lives so that the next generation could have something better.’.

I don’t mind people coming from other countries that did not make those sacrifices, and for them to share in it, if they work and contribute to our society and pay their taxes, but don’t ever talk about privilege as if its something handed to white British people on a plate, or stolen from other people. It was earned by sacrifices and hard work.

Indeed – though every nation and race has stolen or attempted to steal from others, and many continue to do so. I guess some groups have been better at it than others, as they seem to have been more successful at most things.

Bang on.

The “white privileges” I apparently, currently have were earned on my behalf by my ancestors. My great grandparents and grandparents worked in the cotton mills of Lancashire, a great Uncle died, gassed in France in WW1 aged 18. My parents’ early years were not much easier so any Next Tuesday Warrior who thinks they can shame me with white privilege can hop on the sex and travel donkey.

White. English. Proud.

I think we’re facing our 2400bc moment, never mind 1937. I don’t think archaeologists have yet discovered what strange ideologies the people of this island were preoccupied with, that manifested in very diverse stone circles, but it did them no good when the Beaker People showed up.

If anyone you know is into any of this crap, ask them to describe what victory looks like. When will this end? When will these evil loons be satisfied. I think we know the answer.

This will not end well.

The only criteria for a member of the armed forces is that they are prepared to kill or be killed in the defence of the realm.

Like the Army’s electric battlefield vehicles, this whole business just seems to have been dreamed up by 8 year olds who didn’t run it past a grown up before making it policy.

Fish rot from the head.

‘This is not about wokefulness. It is about woefulness. The woefulness of too few women. The woefulness of not reflecting the ethnic, religious and cognitive diversity of our nation. And the woefulness of not following our own values, whether respect for each other or the simple integrity of claiming expenses. This affects our culture, our fighting power, our prowess.”

Quite so. All the metrics required certainly for Infantry service are available from athletics competition. If you wouldn’t have women in your national athletics team competing against men, why would you have women serving in the Infantry, unless winning is not your primary objective?

Could someone explain to me what the benefit of each public sector institution mirroring the proportional distribution of certain identifiable groups from society is supposed to be, ie, why is trying to achieve this a sensible use of public funds?

They’re not trying to achieve that: they’re perfectly happy when whites are seriously underrepresented.

I think there are a few categories:
1) Loonies who feel guilty about their “privilege” and want to wash away their guilt
2) People who follow this stuff because they risk losing their jobs or whatever if they don’t – and I suppose people who just stay silent for fear of being thought horrid
3) Evil bastards who are using this to control people

Category 2 are the ones we need on our side, because I don’t think there are as many people as we think there are in Categories 1 and 3. Category 2 are probably NOT happy when whites are underrepresented, or only “happy” in so far as it enables them (if they run an organisation) to tick the right boxes.

I don’t really think so, either. But there must be some rationalization for this, and I’d like to know what it is. The British armed forces are also based on recruiting volunteers. It really shouldn’t matter which skin colour some guy willing to get himself killed in some remote location of the planet has. Plus, only people who actually volunteer can be hired. Ie, the intended proportional representation can only be achieved when all groups supposed to be represented volunteer in appropriate proportions. How’s that supposed to work?

I don’t think it has been thought through, by anybody (except some perhaps who are just using all of this to manipulate people, gain control, divide and rule – and they know it’s rubbish but they’ve thought through how they can use it as a stick to beat people with and retain power and influence).

The Army bloke is probably just repeating what he thinks his bosses or the media want to hear.

Goodness knows. I am a coward and tend to avoid talking about this kind of madness with people unless I know them really well, and the people I know well and I am still talking to, post-covid, don’t believe in this crap. I think the arguments put forward are largely spurious and are just rationalisations of some basic urge to try to make everything “fair” and provide perfect outcomes for everyone, but I find it hard to out myself into what seems like a deranged mind to follow the logic as it’s so patently bonkers on its face. As well as childish utopianism and wishful thinking, a lot of it is just so that they can avoid career-ending accusations of racism or whatever. There may be some limited case in certain areas e.g. traditionally some people don’t like talking to doctors of the opposite sex, or getting undressed in front of them, discussing “male” or “female” problems. I have no such hangups but they are a part of life and seem to have been for a long time, so there’s a case for trying to provide a reasonable mix of male and female medical people so that those who have… Read more »
