Ireland to Pass New Media Law Pushing Climate Propaganda

Ireland’s parliament is considering a new media law that would push for the creation and dissemination of climate change propaganda. Breitbart has more.

A new media commission is set to be established in Ireland which would be mandated to push for the creation and broadcasting of climate change propaganda.

These powers are being considered as part of the Online Safety and Media Regulation Bill, which is currently making its way through Ireland’s legislature.

Under the current text of the proposed Bill, the new Coimisiún na Meán – which translates to media commission – will be mandated to “promote and stimulate… programmes relating to climate change and environmental sustainability”.

The new body will also be mandated to “have regard” for Ireland’s Climate Minister, and the policies of his department.

As per the legislation: “In performing its functions the Commission shall have regard to policies of the Government and of the Minister for the Environment, Climate and Communications in respect of climate change and environmental sustainability.”

Also mandated within the legislation is for the new commission to be able to create so-called “online safety codes” aimed at forcing “designated online services” to “take appropriate measures to minimise the availability of harmful online content and risks arising from the availability of and exposure to such content” as well as “that service providers take any other measures that are appropriate to protect users of their services from harmful online content”.

While these new proposals regarding media regulation have been raising eyebrows online, this is far from the first time the Irish legislature made strange rulings for the sake of the climate agenda.

Ireland’s ruling coalition government – which includes the climate-crazy Green Party – saw commercial peat harvesting effectively banned under their rule by court order in 2019 over a perceived contradiction between the practice and EU environmental laws.

Sounds like something the CCP would be proud of. At least they won’t be able to blame the next famine on the English.

i fear the deliberate shifting of focus to climate change away from industrial pollution suited the major corporations and various countries – such a a China – and was manipulated by them. Clearly they knew they could rely on the general ignorance of governments and populations. Ask anyone about the Medieval Warming Period that saw a massive rise in food production and also population and they will shake their heads in disbelief. Tell them that period was followed by a mini ice age that saw crops rotting in the ground due to such heavy rainfall in the years 1315-17 and they almost put their hands over their ears. Fact is, those crop failures led to mass starvation across Britain and Europe resulting in the deaths of between 5 and 12% of populations.
The way governments are handling the Climate Emergency scare is horribly reminiscent of China’s Great Leap Forward – that initiative led to the death of some 30m Chinese people.
I am extremely disturbed by what we are all currently witnessing, where will it lead us? How do we begin to try to discuss and debate when such a strongly indoctrinated consensus has been nurtured over recent years?

“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”

Goebbles would be so proud of them.

Look above the Green propaganda .Its odd that another country is also having an online safety bill at the same time as the UK and I believe something similar is in progress in the US .Its almost as if its a plan or am I just a dumb conspiracy theorist ??

Yes you are but as we all know, this week’s conspiracy is next week’s truth.

It’s a religion, isn’t it? I can imagine, not too far into the future, there being government organised climate change talks being held regularly (perhaps in the unused churches!) where a speaker will constantly push forward the government line, but also denigrate those who doubt. These doubters will be vilified and possibly even named, thus you will have extreme and dangerous divisions forming in society, and the ‘believers’ will start calling for sanctions against the others.
Far fetched? I don’t think so because it’s an easy way to keep the population occupied and their eye off the ball. Carbon credits are already in the pipeline. It’s all a load of nonsense, but it’s dangerous nonsense. How long, for example, will it be before the government imposes a swingeing tax on the ownership of woodburners and open fires, or gas/oil boilers?

Global Warming is the biggest and most obvious lie in history. Maybe people think ” It’s sounds so ridiculous they could not possibly make it up.”

Reminds me of the old question about why the Arabs have the oil and the Irish have the potatoes? The Irish were given the choice.
