Woman, 80, Banned From Swimming Pool after Demanding a Male Trans Employee Left the Female Changing Room
An elderly woman has been banned from a swimming pool after she demanded that a male transgender employee left the female locker rooms. GB News has the story.
Julie Jaman raised concerns after “hearing a man’s voice” while taking a shower in the changing rooms of the YMCA Mountain View pool in Washington, U.S.
Ms. Jaman asked the trans worker, Clementine Adams, whether they had a penis, before telling them to “get out”.
Speaking about the incident, Ms. Jaman said: “I saw a man in a woman’s bathing suit watching maybe four or five little girls pulling down their suits in order to use the toilet. I asked if he had a penis and he said it was none of my business. I told that man to ‘get out right now,” she told KIRO.
But after complaining to aquatics manager Rowen DeLuna, Ms. Jaman said she was told: “You’re discriminating and you can’t use the pool anymore and I’m calling the police.”
Ms. Jaman claims she was told that she was banned from the pool “forever” following the incident.
She added: “She didn’t ask me what the problem was, if I was okay, nothing about me. It was if she was just waiting to pounce on me. It was just stunning.”
In a statement, Olympic Peninsula YMCA Communications Manager, Erin Hawkins said:
Julie Jaman was permanently suspended from the Mountain View Pool due to her repeatedly violating our Code of Conduct, specifically, using disrespectful words or gestures toward YMCA staff or others; abusive, harassing and/or obscene language or gestures toward YMCA staff or others. We will not tolerate bias, hatred, or discrimination that leads to the oppression of individuals or communities. We will ensure sustained and meaningful progress toward equity and human dignity for all.
Apparently, “progress towards dignity for all” doesn’t involve women being able to change in privacy and safety away from prying male eyes.

Funny how it’s never a trans man causing offence in the mens changing rooms isn’t it?
There is a child safeguarding issue here. Young girls using the facilities in the presence of a biological male, irrespective of an assumed gender. That is what the YMCA should be concerned with.

I’ve emailed the YMCA raising this issue. I’m not holding my breath though.
The YMCA here in the U.K. did reply, I hadn’t actually realised this story was from the USA where I don’t think they have any safeguarding. https://www.olympicpeninsulaymca.org/alert-bar/all/official-statement-regarding-mountain-view-pool/ this is according to Washington state law. The child protective services for Washington state don’t appear to have the equivalent of safeguarding.

I think if there’s one generation that is going to struggle particularly with this woke nonsense that’s partly responsible for turning the world mad at the moment its the elderly folk. They usually can’t change with the times quickly enough, on a par with the rest of society anyway, nor should they attempt to either on this particular topic. What is deemed unacceptable now was totally tolerated back in their day. My white grandparents used to come out with some very dodgy and un-PC cringeworthy comments about people of colour so god only knows what they would have made of all of this bollocks. Not exactly Alf Garnett types but still embarrassing. Its a generation thing. And times change. Growing up in the ’80s the terminology my mother used to use; cringey terms like “Paki shop” or “Chinkies”, and to me it was all perfectly normal and acceptable. I sympathize with anybody suffering from Gender Dysphoria but until somebody has all the necessary surgery so that they have the relevant genitalia for the sex that they want to be then I refuse to enable their mental health problems. I will not accept a man in a dress wearing lippy as a woman nor a female who looks butch and has grown a beard as a man if they’ve not gone the whole hog and shown they have the courage of their convictions by having gender reassignment surgery. How am I meant to accept a bloke who identifies as a woman seriously if he still has a penis, and more to the point, why would he still want it?

This is a type of mental sickness and it’s spreading. A sickness where nothing makes sense and all those things that would shock us up until relatively recently are now turned around as if it is all perfectly normal. If you make a stand against it, like this 80 year woman, you are vilified. Only the human race could devise such an insanity. The animals get on with just being male or female but we humans, apparently, are confused as to what we are to the point we – they actually – come up with all these pronouns just to have an identity. There is no rational argument for it and I couldn’t care less if someone calls me transphobic or whatever – because I’m not – I’m just telling it how it is. For me at least.
