What can be said about Wikipedia that hasn’t been said for years? It’s hideous!

When I use a word,’ Humpty Dumpty said in rather a scornful tone, ‘it means just what I choose it to mean — neither more nor less.’

’The question is,’ said Alice, ‘whether you can make words mean so many different things.’

’The question is,’ said Humpty Dumpty, ‘which is to be master — that’s all.

Notthing planned or orchestrated here. Just another cock up to add to all the other cock ups.

Seems its readers are not falling for the Mail’s/government’s effort to take the p*ss out of them with their Comical Ali-like “Russian Economy Imploding!” article.

Russia’s economy is doing far better than those of USA & NATO Countries – of course that’s a low bar.

..posted without looking at the comments first …Doh! I agree, it’s one study for goodness sake, and maybe they should do one on the economic plight of both Europe and the USA first!…..but it was in the Tory graph and they lapped it up, mind you the comments there lean towards the far right of Goebbels if it’s about Russia….

I enjoyed the article about “being Boris Johnson’s nanny”. I took it with a pinch of salt because it’s in the Daily Fail, and probably exaggerated like everything else, and I don’t believe everything I read on here, but having to be barricaded in his office is exactly BJ’s personality; and as with Partygate, his contempt for the same roolz he was pleading with us to obey. He’ll probably be keeping some professional dominatrices in business, as he can afford them.

“Why did Covid happen to meeeeeeeeeeeeeeee?” Poor diddums. I almost feel sorry for him that Covid stole his glory of “I got Brexit done”, and then wall-to-wall coverage of Ukraine stole his glory of “I ended the Covid restrictions”; poor old Bojo never got to celebrate that moment, did he? My heart bleeds for him.

The TCW article on climate change is a good one. We need more of these pictures shared far and wide that show the temps from a date and place this summer comparing to the same years ago. I think they’ll have more impact on the gullible masses than expecting the lazy sleepyheads to wade through reams and reams of articles on the subject. JP Sears has touched on this in his very funny video. It seems they’re pulling the same trick the world over; just put the temps on the map in red and make like its time to panic. What a seriously lame attempt to fool anybody who has lived at least 2 decades! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W_1y4xnj_oA&t=376s The living among loonies article ( Brownstone ) we can all relate to. So far I have found a box of surgical masks in my husbands’ desk, a couple of fabric masks his work gave him ( complete with company logo as ‘never let a good crisis go to waste’ ) and a box of LFTs, all been chucked out. I also intercepted his appointment letter about getting a booster, which also got binned. I am curious to know if my spellbound automaton huz… Read more »

Comments like yours make me realise how lucky I am to be in a marriage where both of us get it. I am honestly not sure where I’d be now if it weren’t like this. I hope I’d have a character as strong as yours, Mogwai…

I agree Joe. I don’t mind admitting I often feel lonely because I don’t know anybody in real life who will discuss our current circumstances. Too many of the people I know are Covidiots, a few are ‘head in the sand’ and the rest don’t even think anything is wrong.

Very firkin depressing.

Yes..me and Mr Gum are on the same page, but he’s kind of had enough and doesn’t really want to talk/think about it all any more…which I understand.
Although I love the idea of Mogs hiding stuff and throwing it away!!

we are lucky to have found like-minded people here.

I would love to ‘forget’ about it all, but frankly all the dots are there…Covid, food, fuel, fertiliser, zero agenda, proxy wars, CBDC, WEF, WHO etc etc….it’s impossible to ignore when you know!

Yes you are very fortunate indeed on that score. Its a subject I never broach as we’ve ended up having some right humdingers in the past! But as its summer time the world is having a lull ( if you ignore the damn news ) and that’s fine by me as it gets tedious regurgitating the same things I’ve been saying for the last 2+ years. But I am feeling optimistic going forward. I get the impression that ‘they’ ( TPTB ) are sensing that Covidmania now has less traction and people are more clued up, perhaps now desensitized to the fear porn also, the lack of effectiveness plus the adverse side effects cannot be hidden any longer either. And they don’t need to wheel out idiots like Fauci and Biden to demonstrate that. People just need to look to their own circle of contacts and their personal experiences with the jabs to draw their own conclusions. I know many who’ve done a full 180 now. 2 jabs and they’ve had enough. Therefore ‘they’ have to up the ante and intensify the other so-called ‘crises’, the monkeybollox, the climate change, food price hikes, fuel shortages etc etc. They will use… Read more »

Regarding the story ‘Russia facing economic oblivion’…
I don’t want to argue with the study, who knows it may be correct..but I’ve seen this story all over the place…and being preached like gospel…

What’s odd is that it’s just one study, by Yale School of Management….?

The lead author, Jeffrey Sonnenfeld is a Professor at Yale and the CEO of CELI ((Chief Executive Leadership Institute)..the group are very pro-Democrat, and fervently anti-Republican.
Jeffrey roused the CEO’s of various companies to support the impeachment of Donald Trump..he also put together a list of major western companies still operating in Russia, and asked (shamed, bullied?) the CEO’s into pausing or leaving their businesses in that country…

I’m now at the stage where I question the motives of everyone..and this one sets my spidy senses tingling….

Mark Steyn has a good take on news stories. It is a humbling experience to watch him at work. A barrister might be more polite and restrained. For someone at the Guardian to hold out that he “wrongly alleged” that the vaccines have severely damaged people just goes to show that – not for the first time – the Guardian is way off-beam because of it political affilliations.
