Well good morning everyone. Where is everyone?

Sad to see not so many posters but looking at the upticks on some of the posts people are still on here.

Haven’t as yet seen any adverts?

Good morning.

As I understand it, a lot of the late night (GMT) comments were from people outside of the UK (like your good self as I remember). It seems like a lot of them haven’t found their way onto the new system, and so others have given up posting late at night (though I have obviously still done so, old habits die hard with me). I’m looking forward to the adverts, though if GB News is anything to go by, a lot of companies won’t go near it, the woke mob seem to have so much influence these days (not that there’s a free speech issue or anything…).

Oh, and – second! 🙂 (The scramble for first back when there were 2,000 posts for one daily btl section – those were the days!).

(Btw I understand that certain people are “triggered” by “good morning” type pleasantries – look out for down ticks – though the word “trigger” itself may be triggering in relation to a former rather unpleasant football chant that began “trigger trigger trigger).

Thank you and it’s nice to see the usual crowd at this point.

As for the downtickers – well I reckon some people just can’t accept a bit of light hearted banter in the morning.

Early evening here so just going to get my stuff together and go and meet my friends at the shop where we all gather for a drink.

Cheers hic, hic, hic – well it soon will be.

  • How the Media Fuelled the Lockdowns” – It’s crucial that history remembers the lockdowns as the most harmful, ineffective public policy America and the world had ever seen, writes Michael Betrus in Brownstone.

People like the Times muppets fueled the lethal lockdowns.

“COVID-19 triggered lockdowns around the world never before seen. It isn’t the worst pandemic the world has seen, “

Landsakes, it wasn’t a-pandemic at all. And I worry about giving powers to China’s WHO if they can just make up a definition of a pandemic.

Certainly np pandemic. That has been BS from the start. In fact not even an epidemic.

Well to my mind it has been a pandemic of panic fuelled by an epidemic of lies. Or maybe an epidemic of panic fuelled by a pandemic of lies.

Take yer pick!!!

Better get fracking Mr. Johnson (and coal mining for that matter).

I saw a diesel train today going to Drax. The story I heard is that they transport wood from South America instead of using locally available coal. Utter madness.

A local farmer who I work with occasionally has told me that Drax have been burning straw bails. Very eco friendly.

Most of the wood is from North Carolina

All “green” energy is quite simply the export of emissions and pollution elsewhere.,

You’re right. Drax is burning wood chips that arrive by sea (a certain amount of marine heavy fuel oil (HFO) used for that), then by train from the west coast to Yorkshire. Diesel traction for that, even under the wires. Did you notice the slogans on the side of the rolling stock full of wood? Often classified as “biomass”, e.g. on this site: https://grid.iamkate.com/ the Biomass bit is probably from Drax.

Come to think of it, coal is “biomass”, or was at one time…

‘Ukrainian soldiers and officers have considerably more experience in modern, high intensity combined arms warfare than their British counterparts. The British Army has spent the last twenty years training for, thinking about and fighting in counter-insurgency wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.’ Errrr….if that were the case, they wouldn’t need any training. This training is not likely to be for the already experienced and there is no question but that experience from Northern Ireland refined skills put to good use in the Falklands and the liberation of Kuwait (where, let it be said, the Iraqi Republican Guards were reputed to be as competent as Israeli armoured formations). Afghanistan has produced a British Army extremely experienced and very competent at small formation independent operations. At times, British boots on the ground combined Danish armoured support, US artillery support and (very) close air support from Apache attack helicopters, complex experiences, under, at times, intense pressure, invaluable to untrained but motivated Ukrainian recruits.. ‘Instead, the training programme and Boris Johnson’s visit to Kiev were far more likely to have been part of Britain’s efforts to exert soft power’ But this, I think, is correct; the strategy one of ‘look busy’ but essentially ‘do nothing’,… Read more »

We are not in Ukraine, even though we signed the Budapest Memorandum guaranteeing Ukrainian territorial integrity. You cannot surely be suggesting that we follow Putin’s lead in reneging on that agreement?

Marxism is indeed a threat to the Church’s values as Christians in China could tell you (and indeed Christians in Western countries during the last two years of Marxist inspired human rights abuses).

Maybe people should say a hail Mary instead of flying a BLM flag or “taking the knee”, after all the Church is pretty international. Seriously, these extremist groups like BLM need to be taken in hand.

Only from the Catholic church. A practising Christian doesn’t need to officially be part of a tribe to be true & to have a flock to nurture.

The injuries to professional drivers, pilots or anyone else in charge of a motorised weapon meant truck, van, plane or car & the potential for accidents is scary.
