WHO Chief Privately Believes Covid Did Leak From Wuhan Lab, In Spite of Dismissing Lab Leak Hyphothesis as a ‘Conspiracy Theory’
The head of the World Health Organisation privately believes the Covid pandemic started following a leak from a Chinese laboratory, a senior Government source claims. The Mail on Sunday has more.
The source said Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, director-general of the World Health Organisation (WHO), had recently confided to a senior European politician that the most likely explanation was a catastrophic accident at a laboratory in Wuhan, where infections first spread during late 2019.
The Mail on Sunday first revealed concerns within Western intelligence services about the Wuhan Institute of Virology, where scientists were manipulating coronaviruses sampled from bats in caves nearly 1,000 miles away – the same caves where Covid-19 is suspected to have originated – in April 2020. The worldwide death toll from the Covid pandemic is now estimated to have hit more than 18 million.
The WHO was initially criticised for its deferential approach to China over the pandemic, as well as a willingness to accept Beijing’s protestations that claims of a laboratory leak were just a ‘conspiracy theory’.
However, in the absence of any compelling evidence of ‘zoonotic’ spread – the process by which a virus leaps from animals to humans – it is now adopting a more neutral public stance.
Dr Tedros updated member states on the pandemic this month, admitting: “We do not yet have the answers as to where it came from or how it entered the human population.
“Understanding the origins of the virus is very important scientifically to prevent future epidemics and pandemics.
“But morally, we also owe it to all those who have suffered and died and their families. The longer it takes, the harder it becomes. We need to speed up and act with a sense of urgency.
“All hypotheses must remain on the table until we have evidence that enables us to rule certain hypotheses in or out. This makes it all the more urgent that this scientific work be kept separate from politics. The way to prevent politicisation is for countries to share data and samples with transparency and without interference from any government. The only way this scientific work can progress successfully is with full collaboration from all countries, including China, where the first cases of SARS-CoV-2 were reported.”

Or to put it another way for those not versed in cryptic gibberish (I hit post on my rough draft by mistake 🙂 ) : Someone posted previously that, whilst the likes of Breitbart might think they are very clever to work out that it was really a lab leak rather than a Wuhan wet market that caused all this (as the Christian People’s Alliance said from the start), the CCP may have been wanting us to believe all along that it was a lab leak as that is much more scary than a naturally occuring virus and would thus be a better vehicle for normalising totalitarian “socialism with a Chinese character”, meaning this whole debate is some sort of red herring, that “covid”, wherever it comes from, and if indeed it is something, was simply seized on by the CCP who confected this debate to further their goals. Michael P Senger makes the case for the Wuhan lab being a bluff and I can see the logic. He argues that SARS-CoV-2 was already circulating in Asia in 2019 at least and possibly before that. It is certainly difficult to reconcile the finding of the virus in waste water in March 2019 in Barcelona with the idea that there was an accidental release at the back end of 2019. According to Senger, there were above-average rates of deaths due to respiratory illness in Asia in 2019 too. There are also the outbreaks of Covid-like illnesses in the US in 2019, suspiciously close to bio labs, as reported by Swiss Policy Research, which doesn’t fit into any theory well. Some of these findings are likely to be red herrings. The evidence that the CCP were leading the charge both above and below the line is compelling. As you rightly say, they pushed asymptomatic spread theory, but also the use of ventilators as therapy, lockdowns (obviously), PCR testing and, more generally, being hysterical about the virus. Tedros didn’t get where he it is today actually believing the lies he perpetuates.
Very simply Tedros is spinning one. TBH knowing the origins of C1984 might be interesting, if it even exists, but that interest is only casual. As an excuse for what has followed it served its purpose.
The reality is that their excuse has taken us to a very dark and dangerous place.
A common belief when I was growing up was that the people most likely to be gay were the ones that ridiculed them the most because they were trying to deflect from themselves.
