Iceland: Did Vaccination Reduce COVID-19 Deaths at All?

By the end of May 2022, COVID-19 deaths in Iceland were 153 in total. Based on figures from the Directorate of Health, published by the online daily Fréttin, 119 people died up to February 2022. Thirteen of those were double-vaccinated, 67 triple-vaccinated and 39 were unvaccinated. The Directorate of Health has refused to disclose the vaccination status of the 34 who have died since then.

As vaccination started on December 29th 2020, it must be assumed that the 31 who died in 2020 were all unvaccinated. This means after vaccination started and until the end of January 2022, we have eight deaths among the unvaccinated and 80 among the vaccinated, i.e., 9% unvaccinated and 91% vaccinated. As approximately 90% of adults have now been vaccinated, those figures by themselves do not suggest the vaccines have had any effect to reduce the probability of death. Age-adjusted and time-based figures on deaths and vaccinations might however improve the picture for the vaccinated if those were being disclosed. Or maybe they wouldn’t, which is the reason they are not being disclosed.

Covid deaths in Iceland up to February 2022. Source: Directorate of Health/Fréttin

Comparison of the case fatality rate in 2020 versus 2021 seems to indicate the picture may be less bleak than the raw data suggest. In 2020, the case fatality rate was 0.74% but in 2021 it was 0.36%. The vaccinations may explain explain part of this difference, though many of the 2021 cases occurred towards the end of the year, when the much less lethal Omicron variant had taken over. Improved treatment over time may also explain a falling mortality rate. It also remains unclear what proportion of the deaths are ‘with’ as opposed to ‘from’ COVID-19 and how that may have changed over time. Lastly, the extent to which we can rely on the official figures is uncertain, given the sudden and unexplained changes we have witnessed before and the reluctance to disclose data to journalists, of which I have repeatedly seen first-hand evidence.

Based on the available data, and taking into account the change in the CFR, it may thus be concluded that in Iceland, the protection provided by vaccination against death from COVID-19 is somewhere in the range of 0-50% (as the CFR has reduced by 50%). At the same time, we see a huge surge in vaccine-related adverse effects and deaths and an unprecedented jump in excess mortality already evident this year, not only in Iceland, but around the world. It can hardly be denied that the high hopes most of us had for the vaccines at the start of last year were not well founded, to say the least.

As always, if the ‘authorities’ had nothing to hide they would be more than happy to release the raw data. This lack of honesty about covid and the vaccines is the same the world over wonder why we are so sceptical.

A theory built on sand

What is a ‘covid death’? If it is the death someone who has produced s ‘positive’ PCR test result then we know it’s not worth the paper it’s written on

In addition I suspect that anyone who died within 14days of being jabbed is counted as unjabbed

Covid statistics are Alice in Wonderland

A worldwide phenomenon.
When health officials and politicians obfuscate, the natural tendency is to question and to be sceptical.
This ability has been largely lost amongst the media, the populace, and sadly, the medical profession.
We Australians once prided ourselves as having a good bullshit detector.
Unfortunately, no more (see our recent election results).

As soon as we started giving out the jab (not a vaccine) in the UK, it was obvious it was having very little impact on overall deaths because the death rate in those age groups that got it first declined in exactly the same way proportional to other age groups which did not get the jab. There was no hint of any benefit. Yet still the covidiots said I was wrong, and cited the bogus figures from profiteering Big Pharma where even the chief execs were so afraid of the jab that one paid $200,000 for a fake vaccine card (you can read that as fake-vaccine card if you like).

Using old fashioned (and racist) maths I can tell that this isn’t 95% effective.

The authorities are going to have to get Neil Ferguson to do a model to show that it really is.

they did know its in the data, Dr Naiomi Wolf gavean excellent talk on the work she is doing with scientists and lawyers, they have gone over every piece of the so far released Pfizer documents what they have found is shocking, the Pharma company knew that it caused myriad side effects, and likewise the Government health agencies knew, and still they pushed on. When the work is concluded she will I understand be going after the health agencies and the people who work for them, The Pharma guys have been held free from prosecution,

We know and they know we know, that the vaccines are killing and harming people on a scale never seen before, we also know that they will deny, lie, falsify data, gaslight etc to prevent the wider public from seeing what has happened and what is happening, the reason? All Governments have freed the Pharma and Biontech business from liability, so any acknowledgement of injury or death throws the responsibility onto the Government, Combined with the fact that Governements and their health agencies knew even before the first injection went into an arm (see latest Pfizer dump) that the vaccines caused neurogical, heart issues and a myriad of other illness, and that the product was never tested upon pregnant women but on pregnant rats, which never delivered to full term as the foetus were removed to test. Of those women on the trial who became pregnant during the trial in excess of 20 of them, their babies died, the other 320 women who were pregnant their records are not traceable. Now over 30 million people in this country alone have been injected think of the cost of damages to those people, think of the cost to the paper thin credibility… Read more »

Correct. 56 yr old husband of a friend, 3 weeks after the 3rd jab (2 x AZ, 1 Pfizer) had a massive heart attack. He was slim, very fit and had no prior medical issues. They refuse to even consider that it might have been a consequence of the jabs.

Dopesick is a docudrama available on the Disney Channel that documents how Prudue the pharma company killed and maimed untold millions of people with their ‘non addicitive’ pain killer opioid OxyContin that was in reality one of the most addictive substances known to man.

The documentary shows how pharma companies buy off public officials, media and politicians in order for them to be able to release massively lucrative products thatthey know will kill and injure people.

You can see how OxyContin was in many ways a forerunner to the covid19 event.

In the end the Sackler family who owned Purdue offered a small fraction of their profits in order to settle the lawsuits against them.
They will be able to enjoy the $billions they retained, perhaps they will retire to Israel and enjoy the sun?

The point you make about public officials is a good one – it’s the capturing of the regulatory bodies by these corporations that is a major problem.

A freedom of information request showed that the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation is a contributor to the MHRA. https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/freedom-of-information-responses-from-the-mhra-week-commencing-21-june-2021/freedom-of-information-request-on-whether-the-mhra-receives-funding-from-the-bill-and-melinda-gates-foundation-foi-21-624

This begs the question, who else funds this government medical regulatory body? It also invites the insight that the BandMGF is also a major funder (possibly THE major funder?) of the WHO, here mentioned as being one of the “other” funders of what I would have assumed was a government regulatory body, funded by the tax payer (although they mention fees paid by Pharma too) alone for the common good.

Also since we’re on the subject of film, also worth a watch is Dark Waters, (used to be on Netflix) the story of a lawyer pursuing chemical company Dupont for poisoning the environment in the production of Teflon. An eye opening account of how mega corporations will lie and obfuscate for decades, ignoring the terrible damage inflicted in the interests of making money and avoiding lawsuits. It still amazes me that people are so trusting in these big corporations.

I don’t know…perhaps I am a bit late to the party with all this, but I really think the human race (well, certainly ‘westernised’ countries) is actually under attack. We are, in fact, at war. Just looking at everything that is going on, our lifestyle is being systematically destroyed, and people along with it.. Nothing so unsubtle as dropping bombs on us (yet), but a death by a thousand cuts. Disease hasn’t so far worked, perhaps it was hoped to be more virulent, but, no matter, a ‘cure’ for the illness will solve that and kill off those that should have died first time round. Another disease has now been introduced and there will be more. Horrifically rising costs and power shortages (and net zero strictures) will make the comfortably off poor, and the poor cold and homeless. An almost total lack of medical care will get rid of a few more million wasters. Want to leave the country? – hell no, a manufactured cock-up at every airport makes it unappealing to travel abroad. And on it goes. Food distribution businesses burning down or having planes fly into them in the States. Was it four African leaders who mysteriously died… Read more »

I do wonder who approached who at the beginning of this covid business. I assume, in their panic, the government made the first move towards the pharmaceutical companies. It all seems very odd. As far as I can gather, none of these companies claimed their products were vaccines, would work or were properly tested, yet all governments around the world were falling over themselves buying/acquiring as many doses as they could their hands on. I’m assuming they did buy them, it wouldn’t surprise me to learn that the pharmaceutical companies provided them free of charge, on the basis that the entire stock was used up and who thought the PCR test would be a worthwhile investment? Governments seem more interested in how many MPs hold seats and whether they can remain in control (loosely speaking) during a period ‘in office’ (unofficially, a period of balls-ups) until the next general election, rather than analysing anything else they may do, such as ruining running a country. Whether covid existed or not, speaking for myself, I am now metaphorically fully vaccinated against bullshit.

I’d imagine that the initial exchanges went something like: Govt: Is there a vaccine or something that might help? Pharma: We could make one, but we won’t, in case anyone died or stuff. Govt: What could we do to persuade you? Pharma: Well, blanket immunity would help, but even then, folk might not use the product. Govt: Why on earth not? Pharma: Well, we’ve got this idea for mRNA jabs, but they’re not ‘vaccines’ as such, so the public might be wary… Govt: We can talk to the WHO about how we could call it a vaccine anyway. Pharma: That would be most helpful, but still… Govt: What? There’s more? Pharma: You see, it’s usual to release the results of blind tests and whatnot before we’re allowed to market products; just in case, you know, they’re lethal or whatever… Govt: Don’t you worry about that. We’ll help you get it out without all that malarkey – and if anyone asks for the data, we’ll hold it up so long it won’t matter. Is that about it? Pharma: Indeed it is. Expect the first batches within a year… Oh, and by the way? Govt: Yes? Pharma: We’ll mark up some saline… Read more »

The more data that comes out the more it seems likely that the vaccines simply do not work. At all. They are a complete failure with all risk and no reward. It was never likely that a successful vaccine for a coronavirus could be produced in so short a time (or possibly ever) – but the one thing modern science excels at is hubris, and they’ve outdone themselves here.

Doom Slayer

What are they classing as a case? Someone testing positive i assume, without clinical diagnosis. If so and its the same situation as here, the restriction on number of available tests in 2020 would mean they were generally more reserved for those who were sick and in hospital rather then mass community testing. In 2021 every tom dick harry not at risk of death but had a sniffle was getting tested. Plus add the large numbers of false positives. Inevitably these would reduce the cfr.

BillRiceJr

This includes excellent and compelling statistics …. with the caveat that the government (of course) refused to release all the germane data.

Still, one can see the vaccines don’t even protect against “death” anywhere close to what the experts say (95 percent effectiveness against severe cases and death).

Factor in, deaths from non-civid among the vaccinated and it’s clear the vaccines have been a net killer, probably by a large percentage.

The experts are endorsing and mandating a shot that doesn’t work and is killing people.

And no officials and no mainstream press member will even discuss this.

There is the sad fact that most people are intellecutally lazy and they will just go along to get along. The perfidy of such an approach has to be laid bare. The sell out mentality. It just doesn’t work like that. There are other forces that cannot be ignored. Without this situation we would never have been informed about the bigger picture on a mass scale.

Julian

Here’s my layman’s reading of the “vaccines” and their efficacy. I do not think they were designed to prevent the spread. I think they were designed to stimulate an immune response that would then mitigate the immune system overload that the virus triggered in an unlucky few. Those unlucky few were probably the only people to die FROM rather than WITH covid. The “vaccines” MAY have done what the designers set out to do, though the data from the trials is pretty inconclusive (and probably fiddled) – in part I think because the prevalence of serious disease and death from covid was so low. All the other “excess” deaths were consequences of prior years with low mortality (e.g. Sweden) or collateral damage from lockdowns, neglect, messing around with healthcare provision. The “vaccines” were enormously oversold by governments, and big pharma did little or nothing to disabuse people of the lie that these were vaccines in the sense that most people understand that word. Of course the mass vaxxing based on these lies was wicked in many ways, not least because by the time they were rolled out, the Wuhan variant that was the one that triggered the immune overload was… Read more »

My understanding of the mRNA vaccines is that they strip the human body of any immunity and then then lack of body immunity drops to between 70% to 80% negative immunity – making the body susceptible to any illness which comes along, irrespective of if that is viral, or from say, a physical injury or cut. The purpose of self isolating is to ensure that whatever you have caught becomes Covid, in all probability, because then you come under the medical establishment and their above vaccines, which, don’t work – or rather they do, but not in the way you might expect them to. My answer to the viral symptoms, whether Monkeypox or Coronavirus is the same:  3 minutes from preparation to job done!! Everything else you have read, or heard, is totally irrelevant – how simple is that? Covid Crusher: Mix one heaped teaspoon of Iodine table salt in a mug of warm clean water, cup a hand and sniff or snort the entire mugful up your nose, spitting out anything which comes down into your mouth. If sore, then you have a virus, so continue morning noon and night, or more often if you want, until the soreness… Read more »
