Round Up (shockingly) missed the main news of the day! Ukrainian witches plan coven to depose Russia’s president. (They are planning to cohort with their international partners in witchcraft to try and oust Vladimir Putin). Ukrainian witches are seeking to hold a special three-step ritual to oust Russian President Vladimir Putin, UNIAN news agency reported, citing a statement by a Kiev-based Witch Cauldron esoteric shop.“On March 31, on the 29th lunar day, the day of corruption and curses, we, the witches of Ukraine, in collaboration with foreign partners, will perform a ritual of punishing the enemy of the Ukrainian people – Vladimir Putin,” the witches’ statement posted on Instagram reads. The ritual will be performed in three phases, with the first one scheduled to happen at Ukraine’s “place of power,” the witches stated, apparently referring to the Bald Mountain outside Kiev. So far, some 13 witches have expressed willingness to take part in the anti-Putin coven. The second coven is set to be held in cooperation with “foreign colleagues.” While the witches did not specify when exactly the ritual was expected to take effect, the witches admitted that their “enemy” has a “strong protection” and the ritual could ultimately backfire and… Read more »

I posted a response a day or two ago, can’t remember the thread, stating that current ‘thinking’ makes the Dark Ages look like the Age of Enlightenment.

Good morning Mogwai. Yes up with the larks, well starlings in our garden. I kept hanging on for ‘News Roundup’ last night but Will thwarted my First to Post ambitions and as I was tired I gave up and went to bed. Net result I have slept badly and had to get up early. I’ll be grumpy 😠 today – inevitably.

All the best.

Why can’t some scientists just admit they were wrong about Covid?” – Dreadful article in the Guardian
from constantly wrong anthropologist Devi Sridhar claiming
epidemiologist John Ioannidis, who got it right, is stubbornly refusing
to admit it he got it wrong. It’s like walking through the looking
glass.

An MS in soft science telling a PhD in hard science (who was right) he’s wrong… yeah OK

The Sridhar piece is woeful and even a none scientist like me could take her arguments apart very easily but it would take too long.

She’s good at the hindsight excuse, and learning as we went along. She also manages a stab at defining science; one big problem Sridhar, your claims are an inversion of the actualité. There is no acknowledgement of the abuse of the mortality figures, no acknowledgement of the abuse of death certificates, with and of, no acknowledgement of useless PCR and the ensuing Casedemic.

All in all a dreadful piece of lying. How this awful specimen thinks she is even a scientist beggars belief. To dream that she could even share a debate with a true scientist such as someone of the standing of Professor John Ionnadis is indicative of the sick hubris with which these WEF, “young global leaders” have been infected.

WARNING: If you feel you must read this garbage – steel yourself.

(I didn’t, couldn’t read it all. “Standards must be set.”)

The Guardian article contains at least one reference to their article, also involving Devi Sridar, on Feb 22nd this year. Rehashing rubbish doesn’t necessarily make it viable; it’s still rubbish.

Labour MP Marsha De Cordova says she was assured the inquiry would look at the pandemic’s disproportionate impact on ill and disabled people, but the terms of reference include no mention of it, according to the Telegraph.”

Perfect example of the kind of largely unimportant (in the scheme of things – I have plenty of sympathy for how these groups were impacted) quibbling that will dominate the inquiry. The really big question – was covid an emergency – will be ignored.

Or watch brands?

Christopher Ward watches have decided to jump on board the Global Warming scam.

If I am interested in watches, or any other consumer frippery, I do NOT want a lecture on how said product is helping to cool the planet, or similar BS.

Definitely off my desirable list. Shame because their watches are well made and smart.

It seems to me that the information on how the world has been duped is easily available and increasingly acceptable. So WHY is the majority of my acquaintance still deluded?

In easy language, how do we begin to talk to people who we care for deeply but who froze us out and denied our ideas for more than a year? It’s nearly Easter, we are now allowed to visit friends – I am so tired of avoiding the most important subjects of the day. How do I simplify an exceedingly complex subject for those who seem to be unable to build an argument logically?

I understand and share your frustration. In May 2020 one of my sisters asked me, “what’s going on?”

I went on to outline the Scamdemic and explained the Great Reset, as it was then known. Her eyes glazed, eyebrows raised and that was that. Since then the topic has rarely been raised. I will respond and bluntly if others raise any issues but otherwise I do not discuss.

The only people prepared to discuss our situation are like-minded realists. To others we are living in another universe, such an Orwellian simile is appropriate I believe.

Sadly, I must add that pretty much the only people I get to discuss our circumstances with are the good people on here.

I have been discussing the situation for over a year and I don’t think you would call me a like-minded realist. However, I do it less often these days because most of the arguments have been aired many times before.

It is exactly the same for me. All of my family and friends are completely captured. I have written before about what they are like on here – they consider me to be deranged. I likewise consider them to be deranged and I am mystified by why they cannot see what has happened and the extent to which they have been defrauded. I’ll give you an example. In coffeeshop I was paying for coffee and used my card and pin. My sister asked why I didn’t pay with contactless. When I asked her why, she said I wouldn’t have needed to touch the keypad and risk catching covid. Had to close eyes and take very deep breath while keeping mouth firmly closed. Otherwise there might have been massive scene in coffee shop. I cannot see how we can ever unravel what has gone on in the brains of these people now 2 years of damage have been done – and yes Scaredmama you are absolutely right, we need to be able to talk to these people and get them down from their ledge, for their sake as well as ours, but I don’t know how to do it. I would… Read more »

Ahh, this is going to be one of those universal unanswered questions that’ll be around forever probably. I think all of us resonate with this. I know my husband does. He’s tried constantly to try and open his parents minds to what is going on, but they are all the more determined to shut him and their minds down. They actually wind him up now on purpose about getting all their vaxxes, getting tested…The rest of his family all fall in line too, so he’s heavily outnumbered. Here’s my take: I don’t bother any more trying to instigate this conversation with people. I just try and lead by example, throwing out truth bombs along the way. I’m so over it now. Don’t bother trying to discuss it, just get back to being who you were…are, and establishing and reconnecting your relationships. Don’t force your opinions on people but if they question you, don’t hold back. Stand in your truth every time, and don’t be scared. How they react is not your responsibility either. You are are only responsible for your actions and reactions!

The problem is that we are trying to talk with people who have literally been scared out of their wits.

They were then handed a new brain called “Follow the Science”. And the Science was God, and the government and msm His prophets.

Anyone who is not a scientist can’t possibly understand ‘the science’. You might want to ask them to differentiate between science and politics.

This appears to be a common response. The majority of people seem to be happy to be told what to do and are really frightened by people who do not . The behaviour you describe is their defence mechanism to their own fear of your husband exposing them somehow to risk.
Humans seem to exhibit this throughout history when faced by threats. Government policy was to use this for its own ends, again repeating history.
It will end eventually if the stimulus is removed. However Governments now have developed a conveyor belt of ’emergencies’ to repeat the cycle, so the stimulus is continually renewed.
Populations are being deliberately abused, so they are increasingly compliant and will accept anything as long as it keeps the current ‘bogeyman’ at bay.
How anyone can seriously argue this is not deliberate is beyond me. Unless of course those people are playing a part in the process.

The next abuse on the horizon apparently is that the UK is to enjoy as spell of long overdue lovely weather – much needed sunshine, but it is to bring with it “high levels of pollution” so the UK population is going to be told to stay indoors. All on the government’s say so of course – no doubt met office has been duly paid/threatened to shout this advice through their TV megaphone.

You literally couldn’t make it up.

Panama was one of a few countries to use gender segregation to lower the number of people on the streets. Lasted almost a year from April 2020- Feb 2021, 6 months or so before we visited before going to the US. No-one really wanted to talk about it much. Panama is a pretty religious country so it was thought acceptable. But as is often the case, its had an interesting side effect. The LBGT community got a lot of publicity on TV etc because of the effect on them. A a consequence there is now more recognition and acceptance of this community than before.

I like Matt Ridley. He’s a practical scientist who presents science in a straightforward manner, in layman’s terms.

When he’s wrong, he admits it. He believed the yarn spun about the origins of covid but has said many times since, he was hoodwinked like the rest of us.

However, in his article in the Spectator he’s advocating for mass vaccination of the Chinese, with the self same vaccines used in the west that are now being shown responsible for numerous deaths from heart conditions alone. We have no idea what these things will do to future generations.

You are wrong again Matt. Please take note of what’s going on.

That accusation is often levelled at Matt over climate change however, when you read some of his articles you begin to realise he’s playing a different game. e.g. https://www.rationaloptimist.com/blog/wind-still-making-zero-energy/

He doesn’t bother challenging ‘the science’, that’s now futile. He does, however, attack almost every practical aspect of the ‘solutions’.
