Queen Test’s Positive for Covid – Mild, Cold-Like Symptoms
Her Majesty the Queen has tested positive for COVID-19, but in spite of her advanced age is experiencing nothing more serious than mild, cold-like symptoms. BBC News has more.
The monarch is experiencing “mild cold-like symptoms” but expects to continue “light duties” at Windsor over the coming week, the palace said.
“She will continue to receive medical attention and will follow all the appropriate guidelines,” it added in a statement.
The Queen, 95, had been in contact with her eldest son and heir, the Prince of Wales, who tested positive last week.
It is understood a number of people have tested positive at Windsor Castle, where the Queen resides.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson tweeted: “I’m sure I speak for everyone in wishing Her Majesty The Queen a swift recovery from Covid and a rapid return to vibrant good health.”

I’ve downvoted this not because you posted it, but because nearly every word of it made me feel sick.
HM did Herself no favours in my opinion at the time She spoke out; ultra-horrified is a reasonable description of my feelings at the time.
As her pronouncement was as valid as those vaxxed folks speaking from their ICU beds to encourage others to get vaxxed, I ignored it, while being a little sad that her guard had dropped when she was persuaded to contribute to the propaganda. But then, she is 95 and probably a little confused.

As I understand it, MPs are HM’s ministers and British Subjects are not citizens in same way e.g. Americans are.
The Monarch, if they choose to do so, can command their subjects to lay down their lives for them and, if they don’t, they’re guilty of being a traitor to the Crown.
It hasn’t been used for many years as it doesn’t fit well with democracy. Armed ‘services’ and police are, I gather, given choice when they apply to join of confirming in an oath that’s what they really are prepared to do or changing their minds about signing up. i.e. it’s no longer considered de-rigour, but strictly speaking, it remains extant.
So far as I could ascertain, HM made no exceptions to everybody should consider being jabbed. Within the group of Her subjects there are a few who have a severe anaphylactic response to one of excipients in jabs (it’s in many injections).
For them, HM’s pronouncement was precariously close to commanding, quite literally: ‘lay down your life or else’. Their only escape was the one word ‘consider’ which was somewhat buried.

Canada is not a dominion and hasn’t been for several decades, it is a constitutional monarchy, the same as the U.K.,Australia and New Zealand.

I used to live within slingshot of Windsor, and I saw no sign of her opening a wing of her expansive castle to house the various homeless wandering the streets back in the 90s. Also, in reference to her late husband, what sick and twisted mind declares that one wants to be reborn as a virus when one dies, in order to decimate humanity?
Actually it is 70 years this year that she became Queen. During world war 2 she was an ARP driver and a trained mechanic. Her husband to be served in the Royal Navy in world war 2. Even her third child served as a helicopter pilot seeing action during the Falklands conflict.
Who would you rather have as head of state, the Queen or Joe Biden or Emanuel Macron or Vladimir Putin?

Being as we live under a monarchy and she was ultimately responsible for passing the Coronavirus Act, somebody should ask her when she recovers whether she thinks it was worth the last 2 years of misery and why.

Didn’t she test positive a few weeks ago? So she’s had a similar cold like virus before and survived even at 95. Not a particularly deadly virus is it? Over the past 2 years I have personally known of 12 people who have died, all elderly except 1 who was over 30 stone, none with or of covid. So still not a deadly virus from my anecdotal observations.

Personally, I hope Liz lives for another 20 years – I’m a republican, but don’t think I’ll get much joy in wishing they would all go and live in a tower block on benefits – but the thought of jug-ears as King, or bald Willy, terrifies me. She needs to speak out for those of us in Canada, Australia and NZ, seemingly abandoned by the Head of the Commonwealth. “Parliamentary institutions, with their free speech and respect for the rights of minorities, and the inspiration of a broad tolerance in thought and expression – all this we conceive to be a precious part of our way of life and outlook.

As a regular human I hope she recovers, but please don’t expect us to gush about the over privileged life she’s led whilst the best excuse for her continuing reign is as a tourist attraction, with a family more dysfunctional than those living on a poverty stricken council estate.
