And Finally…
In this week’s episode of London Calling, James and I discuss the Freedom Convoy, which has restored our faith in Canadians; the Jimmy Carr joke imbroglio, in which various left-wing comedians and assorted Mary Whitehouse wannabes have called for Carr to be cancelled for telling a tasteless joke; the first ever review of London Calling, published in a progressive, online magazine called Left Foot Forward; and, in Culture Corner, Reacher, All of us Are Dead and Ozarks.

I wish Joe Rogan had gone on his podcast and invited a brown skinned rapper to perform a famous rap song with the word n***** used regularly.
Then Joe should have performed a cover of the exact same same song using the exact same lyrics.
Then he could have had a discussion about the inherent racism of a system saying a person with a certain skin colour may sing using the word n***** and that a person with a different skin colour must not.
Reacher does have sex as early as in the first book. Hubble’s wife and children are white though, so diversity got to Reacher too.
Enjoy these podcasts, thank you.
The real stars of the trucker protest in Canada are the truckers, their families, Canadians against mandates, Dr. Paul Alexander and Dr Hodgkinson.
I thought that cartoon with trucks with fascism on them was irony!
I’m sure that others thought the same.
Just a thought – if you want to get more people listening to London Calling it would be best to publish the link first thing in the morning. Last thing at night easily gets missed. I think it’s very funny and I sit somewhere between James conspiracy theories and Toby’s naïve belief in the good of civil servants and senior politicians doing their best in a tricky situation!
When nearly all the politicians in the Western nations act in lockstep, using the same slogans and overreacting the same way, that’s not “doing their best.”
