WHO Claims We’re Only at “Halfway Mark” of Pandemic and Warns Against Treating Covid Like Flu

The World Health Organisation has said we are only at the “halfway mark” of the pandemic and warned against treating Covid like flu, days after the Government said it intended to do just that. MailOnline has the story.

David Nabarro, the WHO’s special envoy for Covid, said the comparisons were irresponsible because they suggest coronavirus “has suddenly got incredibly weak”.

He told Sky News: “It can also mutate and form variants and we’ve seen several but we know there are more not far away.

“So quite honestly, we are not saying that this should be considered to be like flu or indeed like anything else – it’s a new virus, and we must go on treating it as though it is full of surprises, very nasty and rather cunning.”

The official called on leaders to “stay focused on the job” as he claimed we were only at the “halfway mark” of the pandemic.

Parallels between coronavirus and influenza are being drawn in the U.K. now that Omicron is causing around the same number of deaths as a bad flu season.

Boris Johnson last week signalled his intention to lift isolation rules for Covid sufferers, highlighting that people with flu don’t legally have to quarantine.

And Health Secretary Sajid Javid pointed to the U.K.’s falling case numbers and relatively low hospital rates as he said “we need to learn to live with Covid in the same way we have to live with flu”.

Asked about the comparisons, Dr. Nabarro told Sky News: “I keep wondering what the people who make these amazing predictions know that I and my colleagues in the WHO don’t know.

“You see, what people are seeing from around the world and reporting to the WHO is this is still a very, very dangerous virus, especially for people who have not been vaccinated and who’ve not been exposed to it before.”

Did you spot the factual error there, saying Omicron was causing the same number of deaths as a bad flu season when deaths in the most recent week were well below average?

Dr. Nabarro’s comments also make no sense in the U.K. context, as he refers to “people who have not been vaccinated and who’ve not been exposed to it before”, which refers to almost zero percent of the U.K. population.

Will they ever let the emergency end?

Worth reading in full.

The game is NOT over. The game is moving on, worse is to come but it won’t be covid. This now only ends in a lot of death whoever wins, it’s gone too far.
I only hope those that have both instigated and promoted a road that they hoped lead to collectivism are eventually rooted out and dealt with severely so that we may enjoy another hundred years of calm.

I think their next step will be to pin blame for manufacturing viruses on Putin, China, bioterrorists or whoever. This will make it possible to prolong the “potential pandemic threat” – and thus also the set of current policies and pharma subsidies – indefinitely. It will be declared “a matter of national security” following further “investigations”.

They obviously want to keep this going for ever or until the next “pandemic” can be declared

They should rename themselves the World Hypochondriac Organisation.

Their mission seems to be make everyone believe they are sick even when they are not and that a mild disease is going to kill them.

No – they have only ”lost” if everyone keeps up the pressure, possibly for ever. Otherwise people let down their guard – and it seems that’s just what they are doing. Here in the UK at least – many are celebrating because we’ve been sprinkled with some crumbs from the top table.

Anybody else just seen the BBC special report from a London hospital pointing out that ICU is ‘full’ (6 people) of unvaccinated patients – since when did respectable Drs stride through their wards bellowing out each patients confidential medical information, much less broadcast it in the news? Bloody disgrace, both the ‘Dr’ in question and the Beeb.

Same as late summer 2020 Blackpools main hospital (700 beds) was reported as ‘full of Covid patients’.

Nurse whistleblower reported “yes, ICU was full, 7 beds, 2 on respiration”.

Makes you wonder why so few ICU beds available for such a “deadly and widespread virus” several months after it arrived.
Same question obviously still arises in this case.

ITU/ICU tend to be small. For every patient there should be one nurse, except at break time when one nurse will look after two patients for the 30 minutes. The step down high dependency unit have a nurse:patient ratio of 1:2 or maybe 1:4 for those patients who are on the verge of returning to the main ward. I cannot recall the exact ratios as I hadn’t worked on a ward for 13 years.

Yes we know, we’ve been calling it the vaxx for almost a year.

They refer to the fully vaccinated.
So to confound their propaganda on alleged efficacy, we refer to the fully unvaccinated.
All who are not fully unvaccinated are like a woman who is a little bit pregnant.

The numbers tell a different story.

“Latest case rates by vaccination status show that double dosed have rates per 100,000 three times higher than unvaccinated.

Higher incidence is seen in 2 weeks after vaccination and this period after booster is attributed to the double dosed population.”

No, it’s because their demands are growing exponentially. 2020, it was possibly until next year. 2021 until next year, doubling once. Now, it’s halfway through, which means at least two more years, ie, it doubled twice. In two years, it’ll be another four. And so on. As this is clearly going to overwhelm mankind if it goes on, all of the WHO must be locked down precautionarily now. Preferably, bound, treble-masked and gagged.

Can’t be too cautious with these carriers of dangerous germs.

A classic example of projection defined as…

Projection is the process of displacing one’s feelings onto a different person, animal, or object [e.g. a virus]. The term is most commonly used to describe defensive projection—attributing one’s own unacceptable urges to another. For example, if someone continuously bullies and ridicules a peer about his insecurities, the bully might be projecting his own struggle with self-esteem onto the other person.
The concept emerged from Sigmund Freud’s work on defense mechanisms and was further refined by his daughter, Anna Freud, and other prominent figures in psychology.

It’s a new virus, and we must go on treating it as though it is full of surprises, very nasty and rather cunning. That’s sufficient to disqualify this guy once and forever. After more than two years, this is not a new virus anymore. And viruses aren’t even alive, let alone intelligent, hence, they can neither be nasty nor cunning. If this guy had any professional integrity, he would use neutral language in his statements, as befits someone who’s providing information supposed to enable other people to form an opinion. Instead, he hands out pre-formed opinions and no information beyond well-known trivia like viruses mutate. And But we don’t know …-fear mongering, obviously. And blatantly false statements like this is still a very, very dangerous virus, especially for people […] who’ve not been exposed to it before.” This was never a very dangerous virus and by now, despite the bests efforts of the global health bureacracy to stop people from being exposed to it in order to prolong this so-called pandemic, pretty much everyone will have been exposed to it. That’s actually fear-mongering as well, targetted at people who wrongly believe Corona measures prevented them from being exposed to Sars-CoV2… Read more »
