Thousands Take to Streets of Amsterdam to Protest Against Lockdowns and Vaccine Passports
Thousands of protesters packed Amsterdam’s streets on Sunday in opposition to the country’s draconian lockdown restrictions and vaccine passports. Inevitably, the protestors were attacked by riot police. Reuters has more (although it’s typically one-sided).
Riot police with batons and shields broke up a crowd of several thousand who had gathered in Amsterdam on Sunday to protest against COVID-19 lockdown measures and vaccinations.
Public gatherings of more than two people are prohibited under restrictions imposed by the Netherlands in an effort to prevent the Omicron variant of the coronavirus overwhelming an already strained healthcare system.
At least 30 people were detained after scuffles, during which four officers were injured, police said in a statement.
Amsterdam mayor Femke Halsema had issued an emergency ordinance, empowering police to clear the central Museum Square, after the protesters defied a ban on public gatherings.
The protesters, who mostly did not wear masks or abide by social distancing rules, ignored an order not to hold a march and walked along a main thoroughfare, playing music and holding yellow umbrellas in a sign of opposition to Government measures.
The Netherlands went into a sudden lockdown on Dec. 19th, with the Government ordering the closure of all but essential stores, as well as restaurants, hairdressers, gyms, museums and other public places until at least Jan. 14th.

What happened to the two protestors against “Covid” restrictions who were shot and wounded with live bullets by the police in Rotterdam in November?
Have their names been published?

depopulation“health” policy?Back in 1961, the Paris police murdered maybe 200 unarmed demonstrators against French colonial rule in Algeria – beating them to death in central Paris, including in the square at the police headquarters, and killing others by throwing them into the Seine where they drowned – and there wasn’t a peep about in the media. I seem to recall that the French government eventually “acknowledged” in the late 1990s that some deaths had occurred. For reference, measured by the number of people murdered this was a much bigger massacre than Bloody Sunday in Derry in Northern Ireland in 1972.
The wellbeing of those demonstrators in Rotterdam should be of concern to the entire resistance movement worldwide.

This witness saw a person shot by the police whom the riot police then dragged away, and also saw the police subsequently fire many other shots into the crowd.
If many protestors were shot dead – if even ONE protestor was shot dead, or died later from being shot, or after being shot was then “disappeared” by the state – then getting the truth out should be a major aim of the resistance everywhere.

The big Worldwide Freedom Rally one scheduled in Amsterdam for the 22nd Jan is changing location and becoming a combined effort with the Belgians in Brussels. So it should be quite a whopper of a turn out! It’s because they’re cancelling and breaking up all the protests here in the NL, whereas in Belgium the rules for outside gathering is not so strict. We “wappies” will have our day! 🙂

I note that the justification for the Dutch lockdowns is that the healthcare system is in danger of being overwhelmed. In so many aspects of modern life, human activity which was started on sound humanitarian principles has been taken over by the state and ends up being turned into an instrument of oppression and turned on the very people it was intended to help and support. The Covid nonsense has shown up the absolute horror of dominating Big Government.
I used to think that some things were best done by the state but after 2 years of this diabolical covid drivel I am increasingly coming to the view that the state should stay away from most aspects of our lives, with the possible exception of the military. If you step back and look at it, the idea that we should suffer untold restrictions on our rights and freedoms to protect a healthcare system that was intended to help us is bizarre and ludicrous.
