Wearing Face Masks in School Classrooms is Not a Requirement, Government Guidance Shows

Despite widespread reports that masks are to be required in classrooms as pupils return to schools across the country today, the updated Government guidance shows that this is only a recommendation, not a requirement. Here is the relevant section (emphasis mine).

Where pupils in Year 7 (which would be children who were aged 11 on August 31st 2021) and above are educated, we recommend that face coverings should be worn by pupils, staff and adult visitors when moving around the premises, outside of classrooms, such as in corridors and communal areas. This is a temporary measure.

From January 4th, we also recommend that in those schools where pupils in Year 7 and above are educated, face coverings should be worn in classrooms. This does not apply in situations where wearing a face covering would impact on the ability to take part in exercise or strenuous activity, for example in PE lessons. This will also be a temporary measure. …

We would not ordinarily expect teachers to wear a face covering in the classroom if they are at the front of the class, to support education delivery, although settings should be sensitive to the needs of individual teachers. …

Face coverings do not need to be worn when outdoors.

Schools, as employers, have a duty to comply with the Equality Act 2010 which includes making reasonable adjustments for disabled staff. They also have a duty to make reasonable adjustments for disabled pupils, to support them to access education successfully. No pupil should be denied education on the grounds that they are not wearing a face covering.

It should be noted that this is guidance for schools rather than pupils, so a school might decide to follow the Government recommendation by requiring its pupils to wear face masks. However, they should still not deny education to pupils if they do not wear one. The usual exemptions also apply, including where wearing a mask causes “severe distress” and “to avoid the risk of harm or injury to yourself or others” (and let’s face it, how can covering your mouth and nose for most of the day with an item that obstructs breathing, gathers germs, contains harmful levels of toxic substances, and prevents normal human interaction not put you at risk of harm?).

Government coronavirus guidance can be found here.

The problem is that school governors will no doubt decide that not enforcing masks will invalidate the school’s insurance. A school operating without insurance means that technically the governors are liable. A criminal record and/or a prison sentence will deter almost all taking a stand.

Throughout the pandemic its the insurance issue in schools that has prevented governers from making a stand.

Parents take note! Make sure you attend schools today and make your personal stance known on this submissive servant training! Cancel culture is so rampant now it’s obvious that any viable media channel for credible techies to discuss ‘issues’ regarding novel new products is such a hot-potato fraught with life destruction plays… few take it. As to the MSM? It’s a busted-flush for any considered counter viewpoint – so best to switch it off – kill it as a sphere of any meaningful influence if possible. Once again thank god for Toby’s free-speech platform here. Some accredited scientist occasionally do put their heads above the parapet, but if so they are still very reluctant to risk too much exposure to any personal harms, unlike those members of the general public that naively give their trust to their product research and have to suffer the very real consequences of their ‘ground-breaking’ products. https://rumble.com/vquomm-dr.-al-ozonoff-interview-have-the-vaccines-killed-more-people-than-they-sav.html You pitch against the corporate approved viewpoint, you’re toast… https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2021-11-26/nordea-suspends-analysts-whose-retracted-note-doubted-vaccines?sref=i4qXzk6d As we shifted into this 21st century we quickly realized corporate OEMs care jack-shit for end users safety’s and will fudge and hide process fails – just look to the Boeing 737 Max 8 debacle – including the… Read more »

This is an individual decision and not down to any school authority to impose it.

I totally agree. Im just stating the reason why a number of school governers have told me they can’t go against the guidance.

If they can’t go against the guidance, then they can’t go against this which is part of the guidance: No pupil should be denied education on the grounds that they are not wearing a face covering.

Institutional insurance also does not trump inalienable human rights, of which an education for a child, is included.

Someone needs to drop a tonne of legal bricks on these “Governors”

Interestingly, life insurance is apparently invalidated if death results from this experimental injection which is fraudulently called a vaccine.

A good mum who was cutting my hair the other week reported that she will not have facemasks imposed on her children. She has written to the school to say that she is responsible for their mental health, deems it deleterious to that, and so exempts them.

To enforce the wearing of something which is unnatural can lead to unhealthy ailments and it would be interesting to know if the school principal is happy to be sued, I somehow doubt it.

Insurance was the elephant in the room when discussions about returning to the workplace was being discussed towards the end of Lockdown Proper early last summer.

It got a few BTL mentions here at lockdownsceptics yet virtually no media coverage.

If they are worried about their insurance, maybe parents should threaten to sue for damages. Advise the governors that they can expect letters from their solicitors, etc. Then they would have to work out whether their insurers would shell out, or they might have to with no cover. Bankruptcy beckons then.

100%. Parents could also sue for any adverse consequences arising from the unlawful measures taken by schools in relation to the fake pandemic. Mask wearing, ‘social distancing’, coerced injections which are fraudulently called vaccines. All these and more are assaults against children and unlawful. There is not a shred of evidence that any of the measures has done any good and considerable evidence of harm. Mental and physical health have suffered and children are submitted to psychological abuse as they are gaslit by teachers, politicians and MSM. These are serious crimes against children.

There is no evidence of a public health emergency and no evidence that face mask do anything but cause harm. The governors would be better off mandating vitamin D, good diet, exercise and critical thinking in particular a healthy scepticism for authority figures with vested interests and hidden agendas.

Masks are not obligatory they are recommended/advisory only. The problem is people just blindly accept everything they read in the papers without digging too deeply.

Some of the teaching union reps are very annoyed that parents have the temerity to question the unlawful diktats that are obviously worse than useless and defy any common sense. The degree to which education as been infiltrated by these NWO/pharma shills is nothing short of disgusting. How many bribes have been accepted from BMGF et al and other corrupt bodies who have ZERO concern for children but merely see them as commodities to be exploited and mined for profit? Doris has blood on his hands and his sniggering with Bill Gates on TV about how many billions of tax payers money they are squandering on this obvious fraud was utterly repulsive. Both are raging eugenicists and are quite open about it for anyone who can be bothered to research further than the asinine BBC.

This article unintentionally demonstrates that the real problem here is not the law, but first and foremost this pathetic generation of children itself, closely followed by their pathetic parents. chilhttps://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2022/jan/03/whos-raging-over-masks-in-schools-its-not-britains-impressively-resilient-teenagers

Absolutely.

Any adult wearing a mask because they are afraid to be challenged is complicit.

Oh, what a heavenly load of absolute garbage.

At what point is someone most likely to be expelling vast quantities of covid, if they have it, ….in PE classes. Now, I know there has been a total absence of logic throughout the covid hysteria, but this is another clear case. Surely, if there was a real concern, PE classes would have been banned forthwith…..

Mask wearing is nothing more than a training tool, preparing the younger generation to comply to authoritarian decree. Also note the wearing of masks is purely recommended not compulsory

I know people opposed to covidianism whose children still wear masks in school. Since masks are mere guidance, and distress is valid cause for exemption (which means anything is) while it is easy to not wear one, why are they doing this?

Is it cowardice, peer pressure, fear, lack of belief, uncertainty about the justice of our cause, or what?

When do you say no, and mean it?

To be fair, its all been guidance, the extremism is down to local authorities and their agenda’s and should be dealt with accordingly. Councils taped up seats so people couldn’t rest after getting shopping in, the cemetery gates were locked so people ‘wouldnt see the refrigerated lorries with the bodies’. There are no words to describe the utter disgrace of some local authority committee’s.

They test for the flu since they’ve never isolated Covid-19. Which makes me wonder how they can tell there is a delta variant. They never isolated the virus but they use a test to show the damage of a solution does on monkey kidney cells then show the cellular debris as proof of the virus. So, they can use this method to claim an UNENDING! amount of variants. A lot of cancers and “viruses” are probably just different forms of parasites. Since the tests can’t differentiate between cold and flu and covid then doesn’t that mean ivermectin cures both the cold and the flu? Welcome to “they’ve been lying to us our entire lives about everything”. Get your Ivermectin while you still can! https://ivmpharmacy.com

The last time I questioned our school about masks (back in March 2021), I was told that any child *not* wearing a mask would be put in a different classroom to their normal class. Here’s the crucial part of the reply I received:

“As you rightly point out, it is not a legal requirement – hence people can refuse to do it. However, it is within the power of schools to make attendance to lessons in a classroom where social distancing cannot be maintained conditional on a face mask/covering being worn. This does not apply for those students who are exempt, but it can apply to everyone else. This is permissible as part of our health and safety risk assessment.”

With maskless children put in separate classrooms, I doubted they’d receive any actual teaching. (Not enough teachers to double up). So as the lesser of two evils, I reluctantly agreed that my child would wear a mask.

And what about the even greater ”evil” – that it might be a threat to health and the child’s immune system? Or isn’t that a consideration?

And what is a ”requirement” for goodness sake? A law? A school rule? A ”mandate”? A diktat?

Whatever it is, young people should NOT be wearing ineffective and pointless muzzles, and that’s the bottom line.
