And Finally…
In this week’s episode of London Calling, James and I debate whether 2022 will be the year we return to normal or the Great Reset will continue apace; the chances of Boris surviving until the end of the year; the controversial honour for Tony Blair; our New Year’s resolutions (although James hasn’t made any); and, in Culture Corner, the Turner Contemporary in Margate, The Power of the Dog (which I didn’t like) and Roadrunner, a documentary about Anthony Bourdain.

“Will 2022 be the year we return to normal?”.
Not if the first fish in Scotland is anything to go by. Or the intolerant twit Trudeau in Canada. Or jobs relating to the restrictions/tests advertised for years to come.
And by the way, the scenes emerging on social media of police storming that pub in Scotland and roughing up elderly people were an absolute disgrace. What have we become?
“Police storming that pub . . .” Link ?
Meanwhile, 10 points for guessing which media outlets YouTube this was posted on yesterday?
(Bozo saying not to be concerned about the great testing kit famine, don’t worry since he’s got Plan B ready)
Whose YouTube?
Clue: the comments will not help you
Try this, It was on GB News today, several times I think.
police storm avant garde gastropub at DuckDuckGo
Thanks, looks more like a private working mans social club rather than a pub.
Hope the Police are proud of their nights work because that will be a few hundred more law abiding citizens against them.

Not sure why anyone takes the honours seriously, tbh.
The only aspect of any importance is the membership of the House of Lords, which now seems to have become worse than useless by virtue of its membership being almost wholly in the gift of the mainstream political establishment.
Hereditary peers were much better, because they were at least independent of that.
In reality, the kind of people who would make a genuinely useful contribution to our governance in the Lords are the very people least likely to be nominated under the current system – conservatives who will stand against the latest woke lefty nostrums, and genuine independent thinkers (not the kind of elite leftist conformists who are often held up to be “courageous” and “independent minded” by establishment mouthpieces, but are in fact just extreme virtue signallers).
I’d put our host here, Toby Young, and Peter Hitchens in there, for sure, even though there are plenty of things I disagree with each of them over. They have time and again demonstrated an ability to stand up for decency, good sense and political restraint.
Goodness, they deserve it rather more than sir Witless and sir Anthony!
My goldfish deserves it more than this scum (and I don’t even have a goldfish!).
I would appoint members of a second chamber on the same basis as Jury Service, random cross section of settled citizens appointed for twelve months and, as with Athens, no right to refuse.
Your argument for hereditary peers is the same as mine in favour of the Monarchy.
Our head of State is settled until long after I’m gone and is not there by virtue of climbing the greasy pole.
Charlie will be an unfortunate blip but the longer Her Majesty hangs on the less time he’ll have to clutter up the place.
Dan Hannon is about the only HoL voice worth listening to but he isn’t achieving anything. He got put there just to keep him from challenging the PM in the Commons.
Well, Google doesn’t seem able to find this posted here already so here it is (and if it’s again, my apologies):

Unread – so far.
The lynchpin of the Great Great reset is vaccine passports, they need these to enable a CCP style social credit system.
26th January is the date to extend these hideous things, if they vote to extend that will be the first alarm bell that the Great Reset is indeed underway.
An important date to watch.
