Schools Plan to Send Home Whole Year Groups in January

Schools are drawing up plans to send whole year groups home amid concern that the Omicron variant will lead to staff shortages in January. The Telegraph has more.

Headteachers have warned the Prime Minister that they may be forced to prioritise key age groups for time in the classroom, while others are told to learn remotely.

The biggest threat to keeping children in face-to-face education will be high numbers of teachers forced into self-isolation after testing positive for COVID-19.

Primary schools in villages and small towns are understood to be considered by Whitehall officials as especially at risk of teacher shortages, given they have small numbers of staff.

The Government has already admitted that schools are likely to face disruption until Easter and is urging retired teachers to return to the classroom to fill gaps in timetables.

Sources at the Department for Education (DfE) said that their dedicated website aimed at encouraging former school staff to sign up as supply teachers had been visited around 25,000 times since it was launched a week ago. They were unable to confirm how many people had actually signed up to the scheme, estimating that it was “at least hundreds”.

But headteachers and parents fear that the scheme will not be enough to stem the tide of teacher absences and keep schools fully open next term.

Geoff Barton, the general secretary of the Association of School and College Leaders, said headteachers were “hoping for the best but planning for the worst”.

He told the Telegraph: “If you have a fixed pool available of those who can teach young people, then the only final resort schools and colleges have is to start thinking about the certain year groups that should be prioritised in the short term.”

More lunacy!

It’s really quite simple: STOP TESTING!

If someone feels unwell, they can go off sick until they feel better (only likely to be 3-5 days). Just like what has always happened when someone has a heavy cold!

Ordering them to “self-isolate” (how I hate that smug term) for 10 days because an unreliable test tells them that they are ill despite having no symptoms is an illustration of how far all this has got from any sort of rationality or reasonableness.

Local councils are part of the problem. I live in a very rural location, where a lot of people end up in multiple part time jobs, mostly for the council and various services. Testing is, apparently, required prior to many of these folk’s shifts. So we have a pandemic of testing in public employees, doesn’t matter if you work on the airfield or in a carehome. I wondered who the idiots were doing all the tests, must be same ones over and over again. The merry go round keeps spinning at our expense, and none of these people dare say “no”. I guess that many will be paid even if they miss a week due to isolating.

All public sector workers are on full pay each time they ‘self isolate’ and it is not being recorded as sick leave, I suspect, for the most part it’s not being recorded at all.
10 days off every couple of months, nice little number.

Schools are not under the control of councils.

Is there anyone left in government with any balls who can stop this ridiculous isolation / testing regime ? Not only is this damaging the younger children psychologically but anyone who started their gcse’s / university in 2020 has had , for want of a better word, a fucking nightmare.

Unfortunately there is nobody in government who will call it out. Neither is there anyone in the opposition. Parliament is not fit for purpose.

Teachers forced into self-isolation are the problem, eh? Not the teachers who are now unemployed for refusing the vax mandate?

Shortages of teaching staff are related to the fact that there is not enough teachers (read that: money) hired in the first place. There is less and less permanent posts in teaching, from year to year, and becoming a teacher more and more risky career choice, as education is deprived of money.

Is you a teacher 🙂

I suspect the lack of teachers is more due to the woke drivel they are forced to impart, the ridiculous amount of time they have to spend ‘preparing’ each lesson and the number of unruly little shits they are supposed to control while having to remember their ‘correct’ genders.

I once considered going into teaching and visited a specialist science school. Imagine my enthusiasm when the science head told his a level class that veinous blood is blue🤔.

They’ve crossed the Rubicon. They have committed very grave criminal offences against humanity. From the British Medical Journal 7070 Volume 313, Page 1448: “The judgement by the war crimes tribunal at Nuremberg laid down 10 standards to which physicians must conform when carrying out experiments on human subjects in a new code that is now accepted worldwide”. The 1st Nuremberg Code (1947) which is relevant in regards to the openly admitted experimental SARS‑CoV‑2 gene therapies: “1. The voluntary consent of the human subject is absolutely essential. This means that the person involved should have legal capacity to give consent; should be so situated as to be able to exercise free power of choice, without the intervention of any element of force, fraud, deceit, duress, overreaching, or other ulterior form of constraint or coercion; and should have sufficient knowledge and comprehension of the elements of the subject matter involved as to enable him to make an understanding and enlightened decision. This latter element requires that before the acceptance of an affirmative decision by the experimental subject there should be made known to him the nature, duration, and purpose of the experiment; the method and means by which it is to be conducted;… Read more »

Top 4 ‘professions’ I have no respect for since 2020/21:

1. Blue/red/yellow ‘politicians’
2. MSM ‘journalists’
3. NHS ‘heroes’
4. Teachers & ‘unions’

Teachers have been the biggest disappointment, hiding behind children’s masks/tests/vacs.

IMHO your use of the term “NHS Heroes” is disgraceful; the vast majority of NHS staff are acting on protocols inflicted upon them, are screwed if any of their families are of school age and/or actually work in schools in some capacity. That is the perfect storm being exploited by the teaching Unions for whom ( for very personal reasons ) I have total contempt. You should direct your ire towards Powis/Harries/Michie – why have you not mentioned SAGE/iSAGE/The Nudge Unit/the entire Civil Service …?

Please think – deeply – again.

No sorry, Ive spoken to NHS workers who are all in favour of this and get very offended when presented with facts. They are the ones doing the jabbing and spreading blatant lies about something with a 99.9pc survival rate from natural immunity, if “it” exists at all which is highly questionable and unproven. Some of them are making lots of money in the process. There is no excuse for what they are doing. They are all high on groupthink and they have been brainwashed heavily, granted, but they are playing a big role in the destruction of the UK and theyre not showing any heroism at all by forming real opposition – because most of them are on board with this evil and proudly promote and defend it.

Real heroes would be screaming from the rooftops about how the nation is being scammed, but the silence from all but a handful of good eggs is deafening. INstead they are promoting injecting kids with this stuff. I spoke to a pediatric nurse the other day who was defending this evil.

They all need a trip to the clinic to deprogramme them from this evil they have internalised

I couldn’t agree more. I know quite a few NHS staff and they are so brain washed it is unreal. Their knowledge level is also, on the whole, deplorable. None of the NHS staff I know have done any research in to Covid and have simply swallowed all the propoganda they have been fed. Some of these staff are a danger to public health.

So you ( and HP by implication ) don’t work in the NHS. I do not defend the groupthink one iota – I am as vehemently opposed to it and the whole shitshow from 10 Downing Street as it is possible to be. I have had 40+ years of listening to, eg, the daily brick by brick dismantling of the NHS ; such as reduction in training regimes, Nurses and Midwives in particular, layers of incompetent management, diktats about administration “process” relegating the treatment of patients a long way second – the list is very long. Perhaps you (two) and me can “afford” to be “antis”; bear in mind, if you will, the 24/7 strain and pressure of dealing with the consequences of lockdowns forced on them by corrupt politicians – CV19 causing them to be redeployed to other (clinical )duties at the drop of a hat with minimal training, unremitting tide of patients throughout 2020 and part 2021; and in case you have forgotten, Hospitals were, and perhaps still are, the biggest breeding ground, with Care Homes, for infections so these people ( yes , they are people) took this home very day of their working week – did… Read more »

They need to break out of the spell. There are enough of them to form very powerful alliances. But they are all on board, from my estimations, at least the vast majority. Unless they want to be remembered in the same way the doctors and nurses of Nazi Germany are remembered, they need to start taking action. They were all to happy to be clapped and given preferential treatment. Well now its time to truly be heroes and start bringing this scam to its knees by openly calling it out. They are performing illegal medical experiments on people and helping to cover up the injuries. They are lying to people repeating mantras like safe and effective and tested which is all lies. Its time to own up to this. There is a small window of opportunity left to expose this scam to the wider public. They have the power. They must use it.

Really? All of them? FFS get real and think a bit deeper. There are some arseholes in teaching unions, and there are some arseholes in the government, but to write off an entire profession like that is utterly ridiculous.

I have met some dedicated hard working teachers. It is not a role I could fulfil. To do it well requires commitment and dedication. I am absolutely sure that some of the £bn being wasted on stupid track and trace and NHS management could be better spent in education including giving teachers better pay so that it becomes the sought after profession it should be. Gold stars to you all.

Ok, they asked for it. Compulsory vaccination for all teachers who sign up to this crap, with weekly top ups to keep them “safe” from the snotty nosed little tykes. No need for shut downs then as they will be as protected as fuck. Teachers who undertake to keep teaching and ignore the tests can remain unjabbed.
