Dominic Raab Refuses to Rule Out Imposing Further Restrictions before Christmas Day

Although Dominic Raab has insisted that Brits will experience a “much better Christmas than last year”, he also mentioned that there are no “hard, fast guarantees” that additional Covid restrictions won’t arrive before Christmas Day. Meanwhile, Government advisers have said that “significant action” needs to be taken to curb the spread of the Omicron variant and save the NHS from “real collapse”. Sky News has more.

Raab told Kay Burley: “I think we will have a much better Christmas than last year because of the vaccination level – both the overall vaccination level and particularly the impact of the booster campaign.

“People will need to be careful and cautious.

“But I do think, again subject to the data – and it’s always under review – that we’re in a better position to enjoy Christmas with loved ones this year.”

Asked if more restrictions would be imposed between now and Christmas Day, Raab said: “I just can’t make hard, fast guarantees.”

Twelve people infected with Omicron have died – Raab said 104 people with the variant are in hospital.

He added he did not anticipate parliament being recalled to vote on new restrictions before Christmas.

The Cabinet Minister said there was a time lag in the data and “we don’t yet know the severity” of the Omicron variant, adding that “it comes through day-by-day”.

He said regardless of modelling by scientific advisers, the government would “test the data in real-time against real cases”.

Professor Ravi Gupta, a member of NERVTAG which advises the Government on the threat posed by new and emerging respiratory viruses, said “significant” action needs to be taken to tackle the growing number of Covid cases.

He said: “It is of serious concern. We have an escalating number of cases that really has reached levels that we haven’t seen before in terms of the rate of increase.

“The action that’s needed really is going to be quite significant.”

Dr. Gupta added: “The sheer numbers that are going to be infected because of the increased transmissibility of this virus is going to potentially overwhelm our health service.

“So that’s a really critical situation that we’re facing.”

In other words, lockdown before Christmas. The models are drawn up and in the public arena, the outcome already determined and to hell with real world South African data.

Timing is everything, if they let the omicron peak over the next few days (as it will) then they won’t be able to claim that it was the magic of their lockdown that caused the peak.

That never stopped them claiming it on all the other lockdowns. Every one of them was imposed just after the peak of infections, and then used shamelessly as ‘evidence’ that lockdowns work.

‘Omicron’ is the long anticipated cover-story for adverse vaccine reactions and the incidence of strokes, clots, embolism, heart attacks, myocarditis, cancers and palsies they increasingly expect to mount up. (As anticipated and predicted by all the world’s leading virologists not in the pay of Gates or Big Pharma )

Yep, probably people suffering severe side effects that are in hospital, that are refusing to be stabbed again, who are now considered to be “unjabbed ‘! Note Raab said today, when actually pressed by that burly woman, about the figures not adding up in hospitals, he just ambiguously said “a great number are unvaccinated” or something.. .

And why BUILD BACK BETTER for the greater good is an ongoing deceit.

Vaccines = mRNA/DNA non-immunizing gene therapies, creating genetic modifications and toxic spike proteins while delivering multiple side-effects including death.

Social Distancing = Dehumanising by rewiring normal behaviours toward anxiety, isolation, and depressive coping habits all immune deficit making.

Masks = False virtue signalling via mass psychological submission, and defining healthy peoples as infection vectors.

PCR swabs = Physical violation, DNA harvesting and false raging pandemic data creating.

Lockdowns = Normalization of public imprisonment and ongoing destruction of SMEs.

Solution? = Mass civil disobedience, love not fear… defiance not compliance against this destructive Davos backed GPPP agenda, plus in Germany the pressures on medics is reaching breaking point:

What statistic are you looking at that may or may not “peak”?
Reported deaths “with Covid” are falling.
Reported hospitalisations “with Covid” are more or less flat, and at less than a quarter of the rate in Jan 2021.
As for “cases”, the authorities are encouraging any idiot who’s got a runny nose (at the start of winter) to take a SARSCoV2 test, so the cases figure is a misleading irrelevance.

Notice how they chose their words VERY carefully – 12 people WITH the Omicron variant of COVID have died – not OF. That’s likely because these people are either very old and/or suffering from multiple co-morbidities anyway. As their own figures show, the peak has already come and gone for the ‘cases’, whilst numbers of deaths is still on the way down and, despite it being the normal season for respiratory infections and hospitalisations of the elderly and already sick, the numbers going into hospital/staying in and in ICU ‘with COVID’ (including those going in for other reasons who incidientally test positive or get it when in hospital being treated for something else) is essentially flat and has been (small peaks and troughs) for over 3 months now. Minsiters are looking for a way of getting a semi-lockdown to pretend the above is down to them to deflect from the Christams party debacle and for the Opposition, leftist/corporateist activist ‘experts’ and MSM to force the Tories to go further down the road of left wing authoritarianism under the flase guise of ‘helping people’, knowing full well the opposite is true, not caring about the millions gone undaignosed or untreated for… Read more »

Re hospitalisation numbers essentially static. Govt puts out scary figures of daily hospital admissions, giving the impression to the unread of an exponential rise in bed occupancy and unbearable pressures on the NHS. What they, or the MSM, never (and have never) broadcast is the number of people making a full recovery and leaving hospital. Bearing in mind the 99.7% recovery rate, this means that roughly the same amount are checking out as are checking in, hence the static occupancy rate. Approx 7,800 current patients, from a nationwide total bed capacity of around 140,000, hardly overloaded. If they are suspending all non-covid treatments in anticipation of being swamped with omicron cases, it is going to have to be a pretty apocalyptic tsunami to overwhelm the NHS.

Slightly off topic, but today we learned of the said death of one of our favourite singers, Carlos Marin from Il Divo. The Daily Mail emblazened the headline of the article as ‘dies with Covid’. There is no mention in the article that followed to say he died ‘with’ or ‘of’ Covid. All his sister would say is that he was fully vaccinated. The Mail is an utter disgrace. Even the BBC relegated the news to a small article, no mention whatsoever of the cause of death.

When does it sink in, if the NHS is at constant risk of collapse the problem is capacity, & it’s no excuse claiming there’s no money (£100s of millions testing/tracing) shortage of trained staff is no excuse, they’ve had 2 years nearly. Most people don’t require ICU beds.

The problem is management & politics not covid.

Nope. Managerialism, as introed by Blair is the problem. You cannot manage a bureaucracy of 1.4 million people, many of them pen pushers. 4 years ago, talking to a senior nurse of 20 years+ show floor experience, at the RUH in Bath, we got speaking about management.

Her words.

“Managament? Dipsticks with clip boards who stop us working”

All bureaucracies end up sooner or later protecting themselves, and not those who fund it. However much money is pissed into the NHS, IT NEVER GETS BETTER.

The structure is the problem.

What do you mean, nope.

Corporations are always admin top-heavy, corporate groups are far worse than any public service for admin.

I know full well the effect management has on the NHS, my wife never stops moaning about it, she’s been a nurse for over 30 years, trust me NHS front line staff hate management.

The NHS is run like a corporate money pit, people go on about privatization, but it’s already privatized, everything but the staff wages is private. The government will never turn it into an American style service, it’s to profitable gouging the taxpayer.

I don’t know how the major historical lesson of the previous century missed you but communism and all marxist countries were a bit of a murderous disaster…

In fact those countries that turned their back on marx’s economic pollution saw massive growth in living standards.

Meanwhile in SA they are advising that it’s time to stop with the nonsense: Covid-19: Stop tracing and quarantining of contacts, says Ministerial Advisory Committee | News24
Perhaps SA’s government has yet to be bought off by big pharma?

Of course we know the (lack of) severity of the Omicron variant. If he is being honest then this speaks volumes about the intellectual calibre of our governing class.

So “the Data” says Omicron’s a biggie, does it, capable of “overwhelming the NHS”?
Well perhaps Johnson, Javid, and Raab are pulling invisible “Data” out of their arses, because the published figures don’t show anything of the kind.

The emperor has no clothes.

Cue insane rationalisation from middlemen in the opinion chain everywhere.

The appalling lies continue in France too.. absolute f*cking bullsh1te..

Hospitals in France ‘paralysed’ by non-vaccinated, says leading medic.
Just as here, across Europe they are all singing from the same hymn-sheet.

the second part of the article hints they bribed doctors to tell lies.

Glad you spotted that.. its just so blatant to anyone with the ability to think. The bastards are pushing like crazy to inject little children too.

Oh, and the government are using exactly the same ruse as here, saying there are only 5 million unvaccinated. Lies, lies, and more lies..

Interesting tone from Sky regarding deaths and hospitalisations. Heavy on the “with”, no hint of “from” or “because”.

However they’ve still not arrived at telling the truth, which is that many people go into hospital, and many people die every day, and some of those people will inevitably have had recent diagnoses for many conditions, one of which is a mild variant of an uninteresting, endemic coronavirus. It’s not significant though.

And then it’s back to the scheduled screeching from their Common Purpose shill. If you look into the meteoric rise of Professor Ravindra Gupta, it’s pretty clear that he’s been long fingered for “useful greatness”.

Assuming Raab has been fully jabbed, why is he still wearing a mask? I thought the “vaccines” and booster/s were there to render such restrictions redundant?

They’ve got plenty of data to make decisions from. Just throw away F- homework from Ferguson et al. get some professional data scientists to look at the data who understand minimizing error and Bayesian statistics,, only mention things that are statistically significant and stop chasing noise. Then sack all the behavioural psychologists and stop terrorizing the public

I don’t think it requires professional data scientists to conclude that covid is unexceptional and we should just go back to normal.

The difference between the NHS collapsing is not the – ? – 5% or so who are in hospital because of covid. If the NHS is in danger of collapsing now, covid having replaced flu as the main respiratory disease in the winter, it was in danger of collaping before, thanks to continual running down of its bed capacity. This is standard rhetoric, except that now it is being used to justify totalitarianism.

If anyone can link me to present data on the % in hospital because of covid, I would be interested.

You’d think that having an accurate picture of that would be a top priority for a government interested in public health, after nearly two years. I think they have no clue, nor do they care. They are not stupid. They know very well that “tested positive within 28 days” is a pretty meaningless stat, but it serves its purpose, which is nothing to do with health.

Steven Robinson

To answer my own question, the data is at https://www.england.nhs.uk/statistics/statistical-work-areas/covid-19-hospital-activity/
Beds occupied currently (14 Dec) by covid patients = 6434 = 7.3% of all occupied beds.
Critical care beds occupied by covid patients = 925 = 25.5 of all CC occupied beds.

RickH

… but, of course, that figure has little to do with ‘Covid’ illness.

Exactly – tested positive within 28 days. It’s quite possible that ill people in hospital will test positive.

Because there is no such thing, how obvious does it have to be for people to understand this. There is no covid – there is just criminally mislabelled deaths and fraudulent diagnosis achieved via fraudulent unvalidated tests. Symptoms dont even come into it because at one point or another they have managed to associate just about every symptom imaginable to Convid – like Covid Toe (chilblains) and hearing voices – Schizoprenia. Two years of this crap and still the so called “sceptics” are still dancing to their tune. Its no wonder the world is so fucked up. How are you people still buying this crap. Here is some info about these crimes and how this scam has been engineered by deception. The Liosatos Nurse interview is important for two reasons – one she articulates that no virus ever hit. Two she confirms that people who get sent to hospital can test positive and suddenly find themselves on a Covid ward – and end up being treated for the unvalidated illness rather than what they were admitted for in the first place. Well if they want to get any credit for introducing something that sees off the virus they better get a move on. Already peaked in most of SA. Gauteng infection numbers down from around 10000 per day to 6000 in a week. This has taken about 5 weeks. Average daily deaths 13, this in a population of nearly 16 million.

So if I understand this correctly it could be like an attenuated flu vaccine and remove the need for jabs. If so, no wonder the Government wants to try to stop it spreading.
