English Football League Calls for Segregating Players Based on Vaccination Status
In response to the Government’s new measures intending to stop the spread of the Omicron variant, the English Football League (EFL) has reportedly given new guidance to its clubs, consisting of all Championship, League One, and League Two professional football teams, advising that players should be segregated based on their vaccination status. The EFL has suggested this policy in order to prevent transmission and avoid the emergence of Covid outbreaks, which would have the potential of disrupting fixtures over the busy Christmas period. MailOnline has the story.
The 72 clubs across the Championship, League One and League Two are being instructed to think about how they split up their players when travelling to and from matches to try to reduce possible transmission, according to the Telegraph.
The report also claims that the EFL’s guidance is that goalkeepers within its divisions should not train together to lessen the chance of becoming a “close contact” should there be a positive Covid test and therefore reduce the likelihood of disruption.
The EFL have reportedly sent all of its members new guidance to consider until the end of next month in a bid to prevent matches being postponed over what is a typically jam-packed festive period. While the Premier League has also contacted all 20 top-flight clubs to re-impose their emergency Covid measures, and both football bodies strongly advise against Christmas parties this month.
EFL players have also been instructed to bear in mind contact “outside of their bubble”, social distancing while at work, including not all sitting down for meals at the same time.
The news comes after Tottenham’s Premier League clash against Brighton, scheduled for Sunday, was postponed due to the Covid outbreak within the camp. Spurs also saw Thursday’s European Conference League match against Rennes called off.
As Covid continues to take grip of English football, top-flight officials have sent a memo to all clubs informing them of the decision to revert back to emergency measures.
Teams have been forced to abide by a stringent set of protocols since the return of football in June 2020, including social distancing and the use of PPE at training grounds, but those have slowly relaxed in recent months thanks to increasing vaccination rates among players.
But the Premier League have told all 20 teams that the long-standing emergency measures are now back in place.

I’m surprised there are any players left to play after all the vaccine-induced heart attacks.
They’re working on it.
Indeed. If they’re going to segregate players, they should perhaps ensure that the vaxxed cohort are more easily accessible by the stretcher-bearers…
Even retired players are dying now – a 39 year old the other day.
Oh, lolz. How is that going to work on the field, you complete idiots?
Some interesting work on the training ground, do we mark man-to-man or zonal on corners to be replaced by “you pick up the anti-vaxxers, I’ll take the safe players”
This just gets more absurd and depressing with every day that passes. Will there be a straw that breaks the camel’s back or will the public just keep on shrinking back into their boxes?
How many players have become seriously ill or died from the coof? Oh, that’s right. None.
Do they all drink cool-aid?
‘Sports-energy drinks’. Got to keep that sponsorship money coming.
I’m going to Arsenal v Southampton tomorrow and don’t know what to expect anymore. All other home games before were spot checks and the pink vest wearing arseholes hardly checked anyone. I have read somewhere that they might spot check rather than check everyone. Imagine the queues to get in? They search you before hand and now they’re going to check everyone going in?
At a guess, spot checks will focus on those who look most likely to comply without question or argument.
I used to live in Nottingham, at that time a very rough city and I doubt it’s changed that much.
The idea of using this pass on a Saturday night there – I can’t see it happening, the likelihood of immediate hospital admission for someone trying to check an unwilling person’s pass would be a great deal higher than it is with regard to the lurgy.
I hope it doesn’t because I won’t be allowed in again. I’ve got the next four home games booked and Arsenal have told me that the tickets are non refundable! How convenient!
Under the dictatorship it is best not to book anything more than 10 minutes in advance
I wouldn’t book anything at all.
I know exactly what to expect: my head says Southampton, despite being quite poor all season so far, will manage to put three past Arsenal.
And this from someone who knows her sig oth has bought an Arse calendar for her stocking …
I hope you’re right. I need something to cheer me up and being a Saints fan rarely helps!
TBF, we are brilliant up till half time……..
but yes, we all need something to cheers us up, and the many fascists on the fans forums don’t help.
Hurrah! However, on recent form a blustering first half and a 1 goal lead followed by a 2nd half collapse is more likely. Being a Saints fan, however, has been excellent preparation for the continuing disappointments and doomed promises of the past 2 years!
Spot check if things are busy. So ensure you go when things are busy and you’re unlikely to get stopped or checked.
That’s what they’ve been doing the last few home games. Never seen them check anyone. Seen people avoid them or yell abuse. They wear pink hi vis vests saying covid certification. They’re not part of Arsenal stewards. They don’t stand at the turnstiles. They just seem to walk around aimlessly. Hopefully it will remain that way.
What is it about does not prevent transmission or infection, that the brain-dead at the EFL and Jo Starlin don’t understand. If players had any sense they would all walk out, but of course they are too stupid to see where this is going.
I understand it perfectly, what makes you think otherwise?
Experience.
Have you mistaken me for someone else? You know I think the whole Covid scam is complete bollocks don’t you?
You know I think the whole Covid scam is complete bollocks don’t you?
That’s fine by me.
‘in order to prevent transmission and avoid the emergence of Covid outbreaks’
Presumably, then, all players will be under house arrest, too? Otherwise, what’s to stop them catching the virus from members of the public in shops, pubs, etc?
Another rare death of a fit healthy athlete from a “medical issue”.

It’s not ‘Covid’ that’s taking a grip though is it? It’s paranoid bedwetting measures. Without these there might be the occasional player who wasn’t well enough to play in a game or two, but that would be it!
Nonsense as usual. The double/triple drugged will still test positive and have to isolate so disrupting fixtures. That will be blamed on the un-injected.
LOL! They’ll catch it anyway!
Footballers need to do a ‘Novak’ (Djokovic) and not comply. But once again this is introducing a two-tier society. I can do my bit by not attending matches and being seen not to support blatant discrimination.
– Novak Djokovic
– Rafael Nadal
Novak can afford to do so. Many lower league footballers can’t.
This is a good plan if:
• You want to stop friends meeting up, filming heart attacks and sharing the clips.
• MSM broadcasters to an extent, can control most of the video and still footage.
• Further hammer down the public’s morale.
• The public will not be able to afford travel/tickets anyhow with high inflation (heating, food bills).
I expect mass riots in cities from late January early February. Stay away from cities, stock up and make a point of knowing a local butcher.
“…make a point of knowing a local butcher.”
O at least a couple of burly hard men to stare down the Covid marshals.
It’s getting harder by the day to write decent jokes when the normals are coming up with hilarity like this.
Great optics here, given that it’s highly likely that the vast majority of those players not vaccinated against COVID will be black, Muslim or Eastern Europeans becaue of ethical violations they or their families knew about regarding ‘Western’ Big Pharma and/or authoritarian regimes and ‘vaccines’ and ‘medical trials’ in the past.
That does seem to the sum of it.
Slowly for those at the back: It. Does. Not. Stop. Transmission.

Matches will be played on two pitches, one for vaxed one for unvaxed. Results will be aggregated from the two. Sounds simple enough…
Does my fear of what the jab will do to me if I have it, have the same value as those who fear what not having the jab will do to them, especially as the manufacturers have been given the requested non liability
…
Good, but instead of ‘cough’, I’d have used ‘coughin”.
It really is, ‘a game of two halves!’
A breakaway “normal” football league?
What’s not to like?
More Covid Derangement Syndrome
Lancet Paper – COVID-19 Is Circulating In The Vaccinated Population
A medical paper in the Lancet, one of the world’s top medical journals, usually known for it’s pro-vaccine slant is stating very clearly that mass vaccination for COVID-19 has failed to stop transmission among the vaccinated.
https://thecovidworld.com/lancet-paper-covid-19-is-circulating-in-the-vaccinated-population/
Given that the latest figures show that a higher rate of jabbed are now dying than unjabbed, with Covid, that much is clear to all but the wilfully blind.
Footballers are notoriously dim!
The men in blazers who run football are even dimmer.
And?
It could be a whole new slant on football and betting on outcomes. Best have two teams, one shot full of poison and the other not, and let them get on with it. Forget the goal scores; the one that wins is that which has fewer players carted off after collapsing.
That’s for next season.
Well that’ll sort the well from vaxxed! See how that works out. Should be interesting…
Don’t they just have to bend down on one knee and the virus goes away?
They took the knee, from that point on they deserve everything they get
Cool, does that mean we can have parallel “vaccine free” football leagues?
It would be nice to watch 90 minutes of football without some of the players or crowd dropping dead.
This has become a full-on testdemic now. There is no genuine evidence of any significant difficulties caused by this ‘variant’, and yet everyone is panicking beyond belief. How’s about we get the army to enforce normal life. Everyone is forced to get on with life unless they have, like in normal life, significant symptoms from some illness or another.
