NHS Faces Its “Biggest Cancer Catastrophe Ever” Due to Pandemic Backlog

Over the course of the pandemic, roughly 750,000 urgent GP referrals for suspected cancer were not followed up, putting patients at risk and loading more pressure onto the NHS backlog. The National Audit Office (NAO) has reported that 12 million people will be on the waiting list for treatment by 2025, with 60,000 cancer patients undergoing treatment at a later date than would be expected between March 2020 and September 2021. The Express has the story.

Up to 740,000 urgent GP referrals for suspected cancer were “missed” during the pandemic, according to a new shocking report by the NAO. The report also highlighted that the NHS waiting list for care that is planned in advance will continue to grow until at least 2025.

It said that the waiting list will hit 12 million by March 2025 half of those who have missed referrals return to the NHS and its activity grows in line with pre-Covid levels.

Even if the NHS can increase its activity by 10%, the NAO estimates that the waiting list in March 2025 will still be a whopping seven million.

The shifting of resources to Covid over the past two years has seen cancer patients wait much longer to receive treatment.

One waiting time standard states that 85% of cancer patients should not wait any longer than 62 days to start treatment after an urgent GP referral.

But between March 2020 and September 2021, 26% had to wait more than 62 days for treatment to start.

The NAO estimates that in this time, up to 60,000 (and only as low as 35,000) fewer people started cancer treatment than would have been expected.

Its report pushed Professor Pat Rice, Co-Founder of the Catch Up With Cancer campaign, to write that “we are in the middle of the biggest cancer catastrophe ever to his the NHS”.

She added: “We need to the Government to urgently outline how additional funding will be spent on cancer treatments, backlog busting technologies, like radiotherapy, and the cancer workforce.

“Cancer patients don’t have the luxury of time, if we don’t act more people will die at home who don’t need to.”

This comes amid the emergence of the Omicron Covid variant, which is stealing the attention of health chiefs and Government ministers.

Despite this, some top Government advisers have insisted that fears about the variant have been overplayed.

So maybe we should also start tracking excess mortality from cancer.

This is “just” cancer. There are other serious diseases (heart and circulatory, for example) which are potentially lethal if left undiagnosed and untreated, and these should also be included. All in all, the mortality caused by Government decisions, apparently then unchallenged and endorsed by the “health” officials like Whitty and the people in the NHS is going to make the over-reported and finagled Covid figures look rather petty. This takes no account of the intentional suffering of people needing treatments deemed non-urgent but which are essential, infant deaths, mental health consequences such as suicide; the list is endless.

We haven’t returned to Victorian Values in promoting health and the treatment of disease, but have lurched backwards to somewhere around 1348-Black Death times.

Unfortunately I think that’s true. Was in my local pub today with my wife and we saw 90% of customers dutifully put on their face nappies for the 30 yard walk from the car park to the pub and then take them off upon entering!

No fuss in my local supermarket, maybe 20 per cent maskless. One man hissed, “Put on your mask..” then vanished before I could take him on.

There is definitely Covid around in London currently, increasing perhaps, children and parents, middle aged, asymptomatic or mild symptoms, flu like
in the older cohort. Three years ago, a level of very mild cold andflu like symptoms no one would have remarked on. Now, they feel dread.

Just about every person knows far more people who have died from cancer (or are now battling it) than they know people who have died FROM Covid.

Many of these people who have already died, or will soon die from cancer, would be alive absent the mandates of our “public health officials” and the government leaders who shut down the world at the advice of these public health officials.

Too right, but many seem to be unable to distinguish between a direct disease effect (sickness, recovery, perhaps death) and Government-caused consequences. I am truly sick of people and institutions forever blaming “The Pandemic”, when the agency for all these problems is a bunch of knaves and halfwits.

I heard a rumour somewhere they were going to start listing side effects of the “new” “moronic” strain as heart problems and cancer… How convenient that would be eh??

Or, very conveniently, any cancers caused by the vaccines could be blamed on the backlog ’caused by the pandemic’.

It’s its patients who are facing the catastrophe.

very true. A friends father has lost a significant amount of weight so the doctor booked him a scan in the hospital car park. There are two things to note: the first is he was working in the doctors surgery which is how he got an appointment and the scan is of course with a private company parked up in the hospital car park

Right. The budgets of these “public health agencies” – already massive – will become even more massive. They will have MORE control over the lives of the people of the world.

And “public health” will continue to become far more dire than it would have been otherwise.

People have referred to the Milgram electroshock experiment. To summarise: “If you turn the dial past this point, the subject will die. Well the subject has messed up an answer. So turn it, turn it!” And the real subjects did turn it, believing that the “subjects” (who were actually actors) would die.

And this is what we’ve got here.

Many cancer patients will die if they don’t get treatment. Well, there’s a bit of a situation, so don’t give them treatment. Mr Omicron said not to.

Answer to your question: Millions upon millions of people … with many more millions to come.

One example rarely mentioned: “Extra” deaths by starvation and malnutrition in Africa – or by a flood of extra refugees or new civil wars – will by themselves count in the tens of millions in the years to come.

Dead people don’t vote, worried people do.

At the moment everyone is worrying about covid, so the response is purely about covid.

They’ll worry about cancer deaths later — they’ll probably announce a cancer Tzar and extra funding for cancer testing at that point and all the people not yet dead will be placated.

Unvaccinated Austrians Face Prison Time, Huge Fines For Non-Compliance

No one will be “forcibly brought” to a vaccination center to get jabbed against their will, although rest assured, they will be “forcibly” placed behind bars if they continue to refuse.

Does that class as coercion now?

This is where we are in the 21st century, putting people behind bars for being healthy.

The “Law of Opposite Effects” proves true again.

When these people said they would “save” millions of lives, some of us knew the measures they championed would (directly or indirectly) cause millions of deaths that otherwise would not have occurred.

An old favourite tactic! The when it doesn’t happen they can claim that their vicious interventions ‘saved’ X number of lives by subtracting the actual number from the fantasy-modelled number.

When doing that Sweden / Florida / Texas, etc, must of course at all costs be ignored, because the stats from those demonstrates that the fantasy-modelling is bollocks…

The narrative is that this is all due to the pandemic. In fact, it is due to the hysterical reaction to the pandemic which has taken no account of the obvious downside.

It’s not about what they say it’s about.

Here I will make a bold statement: “Cancer” makes up an important part of “public health.”

And ask this question: Have our “public health” officials and agencies improved “public health” when it comes to cancer?

And then throw in the other hundreds of medical events that make up “public health.”

They are creating a narrative that shutting down cancer services is going to see an increase in cancer deaths, what they are hiding is that the vaccines are triggering and promoting cancer because of the way they turn off the immune system that would normally keep cancerous cells in check.

I wonder if all these additional cancer victims will tend to be vaxxed or unvaxxed?

I’m sure the NHS/government will be sure to keep accurate records.

I had frightening conversation with an old friend yesterday who managed to blame the unvaccinated for the crisis in cancer care. He told me that the unvaccinated were the reason there were 50,000 cancer patients who hadn’t been treated. Really frightening. Completely forgotten that the NHS closed down to pretty much everyone for the last 20 months, or that there is chronic shortage of staff due to test and trace nonsense and general lack of nurses in the country. we are heading to a very dangerous place.

Anyone notice friends who had cancer, suddenly go south big time as in mets everywhere. One friend with cancer insisted she wanted her booster, she got it and her entire oesophagus is ulcerated and she cannot eat or drink. Another friend given a sudden diagnosis of lung cancer, with mets everywhere. We sat and played bridge a month ago, she was perfectly fine. She had double jabs as well. There is some thought the experimental biologicals turn off the gene responsible for preventing, keeping cancer in check.

I would imagine oncologists are seeing a dearth of new cases, and reoccurrence of cancers. Sadly they are staying silent. Scared to speak out.
