The shameless, self-serving dishonesty of much of the medical profession has been a big part in enabling and sustaining this disastrous covid panic throughout. It’s sometimes hard to tell when they are knowingly lying and when they have just convinced themselves that absurdities are reality. Consider these telling exchanges between JHB (a “vaccine” believer herself, but at least one who draws the line at coercion) and a GP, David Lloyd, on TalkRadio last week: Lloyd: “And we could make it compulsory, like seatbelts” … Lloyd [derisively]: “Hold on! What do you think you’re “putting into your body” with a vaccine that’s been tested billions of times? Do you think you’re going to catch some terrible terrible illness?” … Lloyd: “..this [virus] has completely decimated the country….We have one of the worst death rates in the world.” Julia Hartley-Brewer clashes with Dr David Lloyd over vaccine mandates Highly educated morons like Dr Lloyd are a plague on society, and a menace to decency. How can a person with the brains required to sit the right way on the toilet actually believe that covid “has completely decimated the country”? That he can say that without shame, in public and with a straight… Read more »

On that basis, thalidomide was tested on millions of people and must have been very safe.

It may surprise you but Thalidomide is still used as a treatment for leprosy and some cancers IIRC and is safe except in pregnancy.
The thalidomide disaster in the U.K. occurred because the test results from the manufacturers was taken at face value, unlike in the USA where the FDA weren’t happy and didn’t license it.

I understand that a licence in the US was not granted because it was thought it did not do what was claimed.

This gratuitous reintroduction of this hateful and intentionally divisive policy is yet another reason to hate Johnson personally, and the rest of the “Conservative” Party (never forgetting of course that the Labour Party are worse in almost every respect). They should be held personally responsible for every confrontation, every miserable busybodying enforcement and every injury suffered.

This has nothing to do with Johnson or the Conservatives (not that I have any respect for either).

Behind these governments there is a force pushing hard and not allowing any backdown.

Any government that tries to go a different route is marginalised and if necessary attacked by the press, by other countries, by controlled institutions.

Places like Florida are barely able to stand up and only do so because of big public support for the head of their government.

What is happening is extremely dark.

Matters not as far as the requirement to personally hold Johnson to account is concerned. Whether he’s caving in to pressure or choosing for political reasons, he is making a choice, and betraying the people he fought tooth and nail to be leader of.

So far as I’ve seen there has been no mention of exemptions yet. Of course they will have to exist, but it’s typical of the messaging that there is nothing said, while they posture and threaten about fines. I guess we will have to wait and see what’s in the actual legislation and associated guidance later today.

Coatsworth sang from the approved Covid hymn sheet when he was Australia’s deputy CMO in 2020 but he either jumped or was pushed out into his current spot as associate professor at the Australian National University because he had struck some bum notes.

He was never a fan of Zero Covid, for example, calling it a ‘false idol’. For his pains he is now taking flak from the medical ‘community’ who have been lobbying for the university to sanction him for being off-message (academic freedom, what’s that?).  He has also recently advised against vaccine mandates for children and teenagers for teenagers and children and has copped stick for that, too. Strict limits to his dissent but his sound view on variants being more contagious but less lethal (conventional virological wisdom until the Glorious Covid Revolution) is sorely needed now in the face of Omnicron.

In less mad times, a public health expert engaging in public debate about public health hysteria would have gone unpunished and unpilloried. But these aren’t normal times.

On Saturday my local paper (Chronicle Live) used the headline’Britain is battling omicron’ (or words to that effect) after Johnson’s update. This was after there had been two (yes two) confirmed cases and evidence by the doctor who discovered it, that omicron is very mild. Still didn’t stop them using the ‘battling’ adjective. I’m not surprised the bedwetters will be shitting in their beds alongside their already pissing in them.

Isn’t “aviator” the masculine, with “aviatrix” the feminine? What they are doing is the equivalent of using the generic “airman” to represent both sexes. plus ça change, plus c’est la même chose

Reminds me of a repulsive work I once encountered: a politically correct translation of the Psalms. It democratically replaced ‘The Lord is King’ with ‘The Lord is ruler’.
The word ‘ruler’ derives from the Latin regulus, meaning ‘little king’. So they had shrunk God in size while maintaining His objectionable royalty.
When ignorance is crass, ’tis preferable to be wise.

Yes, Amy Johnson was described as an aviatrix. Aviator is used more by the Americans. What about the lower non officer rank of aircraftsman? Why not aircrew, or is that too civilian?

Face of Australia’s vaccine rollout says Omicron could be a good thing” – Australia’s former Chief Medical Officer Dr. Nick Coatsworth said early reports from southern Africa suggested the new strain may spread more quickly, but symptoms appeared to be milder, reports the Mail on Sunday.

At last, someone with a brain. “Omicron” is inducing milder illness, and is so infectious it will soon eliminate Delta. This means more infections but much less serious illness and mortality. We should shield vulnerable and let omicron fly. Sadly, the psychopaths at Pfizer have already announced ANOTHER INJECTION AIMED AT OMICRON.

And a bid to become more communist and also nonsensical and confusing, because airmen and airwomen are not aviators, they are ground crew, etc. Avoid the British armed forces like they were… well, communist institutions.

The story I heard is that the more women ape the behaviour of men, the further men go in their behaviour to differentiate themselves from women. Anyway, aren’t terms like “toxic masculinity” and “black history month” discriminatory? No such thing as positive discrimination, just discrimination. I can’t believe we are actually replaying the same insane panic that we had at the start of the covid crisis.

Lots of hullabaloo in the media, lots of dire predictions and stern warnings leading to overblown insane measures.

But, where is the evidence of harm or danger? Where are the sick people? Where is the discussion in the medical community about the nature or consequences of this supposed threat?

I can’t believe we are doing this all over again.

it’s almost impossible to believe this isn’t orchestrated.

BJs Brain is Missing

Reply to  stewart

There are two plausible possibilities for these events in my view.

  1. Omicron is being used as a cover for ‘vaccine’ induced injuries.
  2. The present ‘power holders’ are using the new strain as a reason to increase restrictions, especially as demonstrations and defiance amongst populations is now happening globally and is increasing.
stewart

My money is on the protests.

Immediately following the protests:

  1. The WHO officially comes out in favour of mandated vaccines
  2. Scary new variant and mass restrictions

The general public just has no self respect. The amount of abuse it is willing to put up with is beyond staggering.

Reading Newspaper. When the headline does not fit the narrative. Yet another example.
https://www.getreading.co.uk/news/reading-berkshire-news/reading-festival-2021-anti-vaxxers-22263122

Reading Festival 2021: Anti-vaxxers, urinating in the street and ‘louder than ever’ noise among nearly 100 complaintsRead the article and then searched for the word Anti-vaxxers. It was not repeated.what it actually says is

A number of complaints focused on the fact festival-goers were offered their Covid jabs at the event.

And goes on

Others raised fears over the risk of the spread of the virus and were unhappy the festival was going ahead at all.

My head is shaking more and more.

As for the unions, their only cause for complaint which would be valid is that their members may have to intervene when self-appointed Maskivist enforcers start hassling people, which will happen.

Apart from that shop and transport staff should not be doing anything – it’s not their job to enforce the odious muzzle mandate.

‘I think one of the points I would make about the early thinking about the Omicron strain is that it’s as yet unclear whether the strain gives rise to more serious illness. It certainly does look as if it is more transmissible than the Delta variant, for example, which was highly transmissible, but on the evidence that we have available at this stage, it doesn’t appear that Omicron leads to more serious illness. But obviously we we have to do everything we can to try to suppress the strain of the virus and to interrupted circulation within Scotland.’

John Swinney

So basically he’s admitting that evidence is showing omicron is a cold. Then goes on to say that they want to ‘try’ to suppress the cold (‘try’ being the operative word here people). As I’ve already pointed out evidence is now being overlooked in favour of outright hysteria. These people shouldn’t be running baths never mind countries.

A couple of days ago I was severely berated for my comments about elite sportsmen and possible links to vaccine induced cardiac problems.

I am not saying that the vaccine is blameless, but it isn’t just the vaccination status there is something that is being missed. It is that something that is important. Which is why I have raised it again.

On the list that someone gave of those affected, replace each of their roles with alternative, non sporty roles, for example replace soccer players with road sweepers; cyclists with doctors etc. where are the national/international reports of people with these roles having similar episodes?

What exactly is the reason for it only appearing to affect elite athletes?

Is there significance in that they occur during or soon after strenuous exercise?

Is it fitness level?

Is it cardiac health, resting heart rate for some athletes is 40 cf 60 for us mere mortals?

Is it genetic?

Is it ethnicity?

These are serious questions.

On balance it appears to be exertion and presumably heightened heart rates that are bringing these incidents about. They make spike protein in the heart and this in turn causes problems – this is a simple way to explain what is happening and has at least some credibility. The Travis Scott concert is a prime example of what we are dealing with. A whole bunch of people in their 20s and 30s having heart attacks all over the shop and dying at a concert. That. Never. Happens. I have been to loads of concerts and festivals and they get quite crazy sometimes, but never do you end up with loads of heart attack victims. Never ever. And now you have to be double jabbed to get into these places. There is the possibility they were causing the health events using microwave and millimeter wave weaponry, which they can do, so we cannot rule this out, but the most plausible explanation at the moment, with the fact that we have sports stars collapsing, plus 17000 acute cardiac events on the MHRA Yellow Card, is that these heart events are caused by the injections and then they come to light with the… Read more »

Is it also likely that it’s partly a case of what gets reported? It’s entirely possible that similar could be happening among road sweepers and the media never reports it. With sports, especially at the top level where it’s often live-streamed, it’s much harder to hide.

Mark

Does it only affect elite athletes, or is it just that they are celebrities and their events often happen in the public eye?

My guess would be that it is the known effects of the “vaccines” on the cv system, that creates vulnerabilities that affect elite athletes more, or sooner, because their systems are under more strain.

But you are surely basically correct that a lot more data and analysis is needed. My problem is that it’s difficult to see that forthcoming in any honest manner, given the general corruption of our society, establishments and the medical profession generally by covid panic, pharmacorp corruption and vaccine defensiveness.
