Calls to Child Abuse Helplines Surged to Record High During the Pandemic
The National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC) have reported that the charity experienced a 36% increase in calls to its helpline in the first six months of the 2021/22 financial year than it did in the same six month period of the previous year, leading to a record high. The Head Helpline of the NSPCC stated that “the risk of abuse has gone up since the start of the pandemic”, mentioning that vulnerable children were away from adults who could have provided support. RT has the story.
“The number of calls concerning child sexual abuse or exploitation reached a record level during the pandemic, a U.K. charity has reported.
“This reached a record high of 4,735 reports, a 36% increase in the first six months of 2021/22 when compared to the same six months of the previous year,” the NSPCC said in a statement.
The NSPCC specified that 40% of 3,560 messages on abuse where the time frame was known were reported to have happened in the last six months, while 60% of them referred to earlier dates. According to the Press Association news agency, which was provided with additional data, more than 1,500 messages received by the NSPCC were referred to authorities for further investigation.
According to NSPCC Helpline Head Kam Thandi, the organization is concerned that “the risk of abuse has gone up since the start of the pandemic” with children more vulnerable and out of sight of adults who can protect them.
The Everyone’s Invited website, launched in April by the NSPCC and the Department for Education as a helpline for those facing abuse and harassment in educational settings, has become an opportunity for many to raise their concerns, Thandi claimed. The helpline will be extended until the end of this year, the Department for Education confirmed.
Other charities and child abuse victims reacted to the NSPCC’s report by expressing support for those who contacted the charity.

Yes, but the biggest risk is from the government giving children a jab based on a new untested technology, that they know but won’t admit has bad side effects, for a disease that is not a risk to children, under the pretext of protecting others, when they know full well that jabs don’t stop infection or transmission.
That together with the pressure campaign which aims to stigmatise children and families that don’t comply is where the real abuse is.
I’d like to see the NSPCC say something about that.

During my compulsory Safeguarding Awareness Training a few years back Lizzie and Fran guided the group into agreeing that denying a baby full visual interaction with its mothers face should be regarded a child abuse as depicted in your video link.
We were talking about mums spending all day with their heads glued to their phone rather than giving baby the attention it seeks and requires.
There are reasons why there are more facial muscles needed to smile than anywhere else in the body. Humans have evolved to use the mouth as an essential visual medium for linguistic and behavioral interaction.

The NSPCC are a bunch of tossers who have never done anything about the abuse of children at boarding schools by teachers and pupils, or at other schools for that matter. Their name makes them sound good, but the reality is another matter.
Their mentality is such that they will view most parents who do not want their children to be spiked (except if the parents are medics, schoolteachers, police officers, lawyers, “health” or “educational” officials, army officers, religious ministers or lay clergy, people who inherited big houses, etc.) as potential abusers if not actual ones.
You must be talking about public schools, where that sort of behaviour has long been considered to be ‘character building’, ensuring that the Government will have a ready supply of mentally damaged MPs to support its anti-civic society policies.
It’s struck me as odd, not that I dwell on it, that boy only inter-pupil “character building” sexual incidents must lay along an axis from mutually enjoyable jolly good japes to outright violent homosexual rape.
Given that both parties are likely to emerge into a fairly narrow society be that as Army Officers or at University followed by a business career and Company Directorships at which time any age difference will be of minimal importance. There must be encounters later in life.
Why do we be not hear of violent retribution or costly legal battles seeking compensation for the victim?

This is not an unexpected consequence of lockdowns throwing people out of work, it has been well known since society started taking an interest in the ‘why’ of child abuse.
Yet another thing politicians will be held to account for when the trials start.
If there had been no concerted effort to prevent early treatment of SARS-CoV-2 infections then there would have been no lockdowns, no furloughs, no business destruction, no sudden unemployment, no loss of schooling, no dangerous experimental vaccines, no deaths and serious life destroying side effects – what would there have been not to,like?

Rising child abuse during lockdown should not come as a surprise. As recently discussed at DS the BMJ produced a report in April 2020 about a rise in child abuse head trauma at the Great Ormond St. Hospital in March/April of that year. Cases increased by 1,493% (yes1,493%) compared to the same moth in the previous three years. The sample was quite small but the medics and academics found the study to be significant. This got some coverage on the Jeremy Vine show and presumably elsewhere on the the BBC but soon left centre stage During discussions on lockdownsceptics (as was) it was suggested that most of the victims would come from disadvantaged backgrounds, probably living in tower blocks, unable to visit the meanly bolted shut play parks and that the abuse was exacerbated by living with unstable household members. This makes it sound as though only the numbers of those being sexually abused have risen. I’m darn sure that the numbers of those suffering neglect have risen hugely together with those suffering physical and emotional abuse which is now being continued by the health, education and governmental sectors coercing them into having unneeded clotshots and continually testing them and making them self isolate for absolutely no good reason.
Good that this hideous side effect of lockdown is being acknowledged. But you need to recognise that this will inevitably be used as yet another argument in favour of mandatory vaccination. Your focus now needs to be on resisting mandatory vaccination; because mandatory vaccination will bring with it mass imprisonment, terror, violence and catastrophic civil disturbance. It will be the end of basic freedoms, human rights and safety in the UK. Everything else- even pointing out the evils of lockdown- needs to take second place to this. It’s clear that this is the direction we’re going in: you need to resist.
It’s a pretty well known pattern that victims of abuse become abusers themselves and that fear causes aggression. Guess who is doing the abusing and promoting fear.

This is no surprise. The risk of greatly-increased child-abuse was one of the points I made to my MP when he voted for these pointless and damaging lockdowns. Made no difference though, he’s one of the many MPs who bend with the wind. As long as he keeps his job he doesn’t bother to look very deeply into anything. There are too many of these also-rans in parliament. But what can you do when they’re the best of a poor choice?
