Lockdown Loneliness Has Cost Australia $2.7 Billion AUD Per Year

Researchers from Curtin University in Perth have uncovered that Covid restrictions have exacerbated feelings of social isolation, leading to negative health outcomes which have cost Australia $2.7 billion AUD per year. This accounts for $1,565 AUD for each person who is lonely, with young people and those living on lower incomes being impacted the most. The Guardian has more.

Report co-author Astghik Mavisakalyan, an Associate Professor at the Bankwest Curtin Economics Centre, said lonely people had worse general and mental health outcomes. “They’re more likely to smoke, more likely to drink more and exercise less,” she said. “They see their GP more frequently, as well as visit hospitals more frequently.”

The report estimates that the overall average cost associated with each person who becomes lonely in Australia is $1,565 AUD a year.

The researchers measured social connectedness based on four key areas: the nature and frequency of people’s social interactions, available social supports, interpersonal trust, and socio-economic advantage.

“In the period from 2010 to 2018, there has been a 10% decline in connectedness,” Mavisakalyan said.

Social isolation was most prevalent among vulnerable populations, including those who are disabled, socio-economically disadvantaged, or from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, the report found.

There was a worrying link between poverty and loneliness, Mavisakalyan said. The analysis drew comparisons between individuals “who are very, very similar in terms of their host of characteristics but are different in terms of their income”.

Even when all other factors were controlled for, the loneliness gap between the richest and the poorest was significant, suggesting “poverty may also lead to the social exclusion of individuals”, Mavisakalyan said.

Women scored higher than men on social connectedness across all ages, but also reported being lonelier than men, particularly girls under 17 years-old and women older than 65 years-old.

“The figure of up to $2.7 billion AUD per year associated with loneliness provides a strong economic case for investing into initiatives that mitigate loneliness in our society,” Mavisakalyan said. “Participation in activities that create meaningful connection with others and a common purpose should be a priority.”

Unsurprisingly, face-to-face interactions and community participation dropped throughout the pandemic.

That Covid has had an outsize effect on young people “comes out very vividly in our analysis”, Mavisakalyan said.

This is not going to be a popular post, but to be honest, I’d have paid for that kind of solitude.

Humans are becoming so fragile, I dread to think what would happen if they actually had to rely on themselves to provide their own food & shelter for a few days or even hours.

Whistleblowers Speak on COVID-19 Vaccine Injuries (Long)

Whistleblowers speak on mRNA COVID-19 Vaccine Injuries and Gags by Regulators. This video was not produced by AMPS but is being posted as the association vehemently rails against censorship of medical professionals by AHPRA, TGA and other regulators.

Loneliness carries with it risks to our mortality that are comparable to smoking and alcoholism and exceed those of physical inactivity and obesity. Loneliness affects chronic health problems such as diabetes, hypertension, and coronary artery disease, as well as sleep, mobility and even dental problems…

Added to the Covid vaccine injuries and increase in depression driven suicides it’s almost as if someone was implementing a depopulation strategy.

Silly me that’s a conspiracy theory…

I’ve come to believe that for many people the cult-like belief in vaccination is so intense that they will defend vaccinations even if their vaccinations caused them great harm. A story from an Australian TV broadcast might be the best example of this psychological conditioning I’ve read to date. Here’s the key facts from this surreal story: Harold Molle “developed a blood clot in his leg three days after his second dose of Astra Zeneca. “… After being admitted to hospital, Mr Molle’s leg needed to be amputated.”It was excruciating pain,” he said. “It’s going to cost me now, I’ve got to get an artificial leg and a wheel chair.” The purpose of the article was to inform vaccinated readers that they “could be eligible for a federal government compensation scheme for adverse reactions to a COVID-19 vaccination. Eligible patients (who have experienced “moderate to severe reactions”) can apply for $5,000 to $20,000 to cover medical expenses and loss of income as a result of being hospitalised by a vaccine.” From the story, we also learn that “ten thousand Australians so far have registered for… the compensation scheme for adverse reactions to a COVID-19 vaccination.” I will now pause and review… Read more »

The article also includes this intentionally deceptive statement:

“Out of almost 37 million vaccine doses across Australia, 0.21 per cent have reported adverse side effects, and according to infectious diseases expert Dr Paul Griffin, an even smaller fraction are severe.”

Comment: Note the story says that only “0.21 percent” have reported “adverse side effects.” This is sneaky verbiage as this percentage is based on “doses” administered not human beings. Question: How can a “dose” suffer an “adverse side effect?”

Almost everyone in Australia who has been vaccinated has received two doses so that would be approximately 16.5 million (mostly adult) vaccinated human beings.

0.21 percent reporting “adverse side effects” would be approximately 346,400 adults. This is also a very large number, but we also know it’s a massive undercount as most people (and health care workers) don’t go to the trouble of filling out all the “adverse reaction” documentation at sites like VAERS.

One should also try to define what an “adverse reaction” actually is. What it is NOT, according to public health experts, is “getting sick” or being very sore or uncomfortable for a day or two (or longer) following vaccination. If we count “feeling rotten” as an “adverse reaction” probably 8 million vaccinated Australians would qualify.

If one is not completely gullible, one also knows that the number of people who experience more serious “adverse reactions” is assuredly much greater than the figures cited by trusted public health officials.

If we use the “official” number of 346,400 Australians suffering “adverse reactions,” this figure is 301 times higher than the approximately 1,151 people in Australia who had died from or with COVID as of September 21st (source: Statista).

If one counted deaths actually caused by COVID, the death number would probably be lower than 600 (approximately half of the official number).

Indeed, the Australian Health ministry reports on its COVID dashboard that “73.4 percent (of Australians) who died of COVID had pre-existing chronic conditions certified on the death certificate).”

Great comments, but unfortunately your maths is off by an order of magnitude.

0.21 percent of 16.5 million is 34,640.

Unless my maths is off.

But if we had REAL numbers on people who have had experienced moderate or severe reactions, I’m sure it would be at least 350,000.

The story on Mr. Moelle doesn’t cite his age. It does include a cropped picture of his lower body and I would guess from what I could see that he is under the age of 70.

Among people under age of 70, Australia has had only 138 “official” COVID deaths. Of its 1,151 deaths, 69.2 percent (740) occurred in people aged 80 or older. This means the vast majority of Australia’s COVID deaths occurred in citizens who had already exceeded the normal life expectancy. I also learned that the No. 1 “pre-existing condition” in COVID “victims” is dementia.

I’m also working on my own article about COVID mortality rates among U.S. and Alabama children. Because of this I noted with interest the death numbers in Australia among children. Per Statista data as of September 21, one (1) person in Australia under the age of 20 has died from COVID (in the 10 to 19 age cohort). No child under the age of 10 has yet to die of COVID in this nation of 26 million people.

Still, government and public health officials in Australia – like in almost every nation in the world – are working as hard as they can to get every child over the age of 5 vaccinated.

That’s because they have the new target for fully vaccinated to hit ‘herd immunity’ given the leaky vaccines and their rapid drop off of efficacy; 250% of the total population. They have yet to work out how to get there but they know they have to include the unborn ( and possibly deceased).

Australia has been absolutely appalling throughout this entire pandemic fiasco – if there are no criminal trials for all of those responsible for the tyrannical mess Australia is in right now then there is absolutely no justice in this world – they may as well announce posthumous pardons for all those Nazis that were hanged for there crimes during the Nuremberg trials for this also surely equates to crimes against humanity.

Agreed completely, but don’t forget the crimes against humanity that were committed in Australia over a long period of time – far longer than Hitler was in office in Germany – and for which as far as I am aware no leading figure in Australia has ever been jailed or even prosecuted. (Some did say they were sorry, which was welcome, but it is still true that these were very major crimes indeed and no leader was ever put in the dock for them.)

MSM is trying to make fun of people wanting to protect themselves with cheap and proven drugs. Ivermectin has been FDA approved for human use since 1996. It also beats Pfizer’s new wonder drug hands down, and costs next to nothing. Ivermectin doesn’t make tons of money. So they know the Covid shot is on its final gasp, so they take it add something different to it, rebrand under another name and charge 20 times what they would for ivermectin. I cannot wrap my head around this nonsense. When I explain this to my relatives they label me as crazy and ask me if I know better than science. I don’t make up these information out of my ass. All this information is true and proven. For some people it is near impossible for them to wake up. They are comfortable in their clown world life. If you want to get Ivermectin you can visit https://ivmpharmacy.com

Or just go to Indiamart and take your pick of suppliers. Several friends have bought that way and none had problems. One lot of friends passed on 30 tablets to me.

I took two a week apart to check for side-effects and had no problems.

I gave 8 to a friend who was suffering side-effects from two shots of AZ. He’s now better again.

The net result is that I’ve still got 20 tablets in the fridge, to keep just in case. My vitamin D is so high that I don’t expect to get COVID.

One of the main purposes of it of course – it all helps with the ultimate control of the sheeple.

Disgusting, criminal behaviour, and increasing by many western governments now it seems.

For something to get published in the Whitehall / BBC propaganda outlet the Guardian it has to desired solution – more social engineering. I never expected it to say less government interference and a return to traditional values. Social media, big business and Governments have destroyed society and the move to the Metaverse will make things even worse.
