“Heated debate in Victoria parliament as Premier Dan Andrews is labelled ‘dictator’”
The new law soon to be passed in Victoria’s upper house is an insult to all Australian war dead and an affront to democracy. It is so heinous in its total smashing of the social contract that the only moral and lawful response is to consider the Victorian government a hostile occupying force and to totally ignore it and its illegitimate and totalitarian rules until a proper democracy can be installed there.
There should have been far more speeches like this in Parliaments throughout the world increasingly so as time went by.
Why did it take DS at least 3 days to pick up on it? The Mail claims it as its own but it was around in the middle of last week.
“MPs have been warned that the teaching of ‘white privilege’ is ‘rife’ in schools following a dossier that revealed pupils are being given ‘politically based’ lessons on police, racism and colonialism.”
That the teaching of racist, anti-white hate in schools is enjoying such success under this government should be the final straw required, even for the slowest among us, that the Tory Party has been infiltrated by leftists to the point it is now totally gone. A proper, nation-loving Conservative Party is required, very desperately. These are perilous times for an ancient and once-proud nation.
Promotion of ‘white privilege’ is not teaching, it is indoctrination.
The Tory party is not the problem, the teacher training colleges are but the undermining of proper teaching in favour of indoctrination has been entrenched for decades requiring far more than a change in a single political party to root it out.
The Tory party is supported by the more conservative wing of the population, most probably. They have failed to represent that conservatism. There’s a general drift in a “leftward” direction at least on social issues, but the Tories have done nothing to address it.
The Tories have always done that going back to the 19C, hence the expression ‘dish the Whigs’, ie steal the policies of the opposition, the Liberals in those days.
They probably imagine that they overthrew the Red Wall as a result of such leftward drift, not recognising that it is those people who are truly conservative
The point is that the result is an ongoing leftwards drift. And that tendency on the part of the “Conservative” Party is more or less problematic for the nation according to how radical the mainstream leftists are at the time in question, and how far the “Conservatives” go in stealing their clothes.
On both counts, the past couple of decades represent significant lows.
Well that Reclaim Party vid was particularly excellent and rousing and obv will get shared widely by me here. Insomnia strikes again, bloody anxiety and stress due to this whole BS situation…plus my cat didn’t come home last night! Grrr….:-/
I know how you feel! Hope moggy gets in soon.
Thanks! She’s just got back now. 🙂 At the risk of sounding like a crazy cat nut, Mindy is like a little emotional support cat , which is especially appreciated just now.
That’s good news! You don’t sound crazy. I still miss my boy after 25 years – Mr H is a bit allergic to cats, although he loves them, so we can’t really have them. When my cat was alive he actually used to hang out with the nextdoor neighbour’s cat…who was called Mindy!
Heehee, what a cute coincidence! 🙂 Well I’d rather wear an emotional support cat than an emotional support mask any day!
IMPORTANT
Many posting here have questioned the net zero policies of the UK government.
Now there is something you can do about it. You can register a vote to hopefully force a referendum on the issue. Rather than just accept an edict on which no party has saught a mandate, you can add your weight behind a movement that will allow your voice to be heared.
Vote here, now. If 100,000 are registered, a debate has to happen and its possible a referendum will be called.
https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/599602
Be careful what you wish for. Don’t be so confident common sense will prevail. Covid, a case in point, sheep are easy to herd!
I’m sceptical a referendum is the best course of action. I only hope, if DS continues to exist in the years this topic gets heated, they learn from their covid mistakes. I’m afraid they have to play dirty like their opponents.
Our only hope Obi-Wan Kenobi is a new political party, its a big ask but probably the only chance of stopping the liberals.
We voted for negative low wage migration (not net zero) and we got the opposite.
Actually one party has consistently sought a mandate on this, the Green party and they have only ever had one MP elected to parliament. Democracy in action.
ITEM: “Heated debate in Victoria parliament as Premier Dan Andrews is labelled ‘dictator’” – “Daniel Andrews was called a ‘dictator’ in a hysterical ‘screaming match’ in the Victorian Parliament over his new pandemic management laws,” Where does Victoria’s Evil Gnome keep getting his ideas from? Orwell, perhaps? The Bill seeking to codify supreme power in the Premier’s hands is delightfully named the Public Health and Wellbeing Amendment (Pandemic Management) Bill 2021 . So, it’s all about ‘public health and wellbeing’, just to reassure the plebs. Or Adolf, perhaps? It was the Enabling Act 1933 that granted sole executive authority, under a fake emergency, to Hitler, without even any pretence of parliamentary power, that lead to outright dictatorship – and didn’t that end well for the ubermentschen of the day. I know that Godwin’s Law states that as a political argument grows longer and more heated, it becomes increasingly likely that somebody will bring up Hitler or the Nazis to describe their opponent’s views and the first to do so effectively forfeits the argument, but, hell, if we can’t afford to get a bit emotional about Dan Andrews’ love for absolute power spiced with Robocop violence, then we aren’t really awake. Oh, and Andews’ bill,… Read more »
This is the video I referred to in my reply to you last week Phil although I did not realise that the speaker was the shadow Attorney General, calling him merely an MP. I also referenced a second video of 3 members of Vicorias Upper House suspended because of covid/lockdown(?) comparing Victorias current legislature to that of Cromwells Rump Parliament after he had suspended most of its members.Your post above removes the need for “(?)”. Thank you. Suspended ‘in perpetuity’ FFS! Even if they change their minds? What happened to the democratic rights of their constituents? You are quite correct to compare this to Hitlers Enabling Act 1933 which was passed by every party in the Reichstag, including Agrarians and Catholics, with the exception of the Communists who were either already in gaol or physically prevented from voting by the brownshirts. Dictator Dan has gone even further than Hitler in that he can give himself these powers if a ‘pandemic’ is called anywhere else in the world. Hitler confined himself to domestic crises. Do they not teach European history any more in Australia? Why is Labour still the most popular in that State? On a lighter note I recently viewed… Read more »
“very conveniently, four minor party representatives have been suspended in perpetuity because they have refused to show proof of vaccination under Vaccine Passport rules introduced by Herr Andrews“
Would be shocking, if that kind of thing were not now so familiar.
“(two of the four members thus disenfranchised are double-jabbed but object to the segregation regime on principle).”
Good for them! Imo that’s the only acceptable position, whether you are injected or not.
“The Liberal ‘Opposition’ has finally woken from its Covid spell and promises to ditch the new powers if elected in November 2022 but that may be moot as the latest pinion poll shows Labor’s primary vote, whilst a low 38% (a five percentage point decline since the last election in 2018) is still ahead of the Liberals’ 34%. “
Imagine if your “Liberals” had actually lived up to their names in response to the covid totalitarianism. Sadly it appears they are no more liberal than our “Conservatives” are conservative.
Short answer; they’re arrogant tw*ts.
Long answer; Models are speculative assumptions & you get what you pay for.
What really bugs me about vax pass, are people that argue natural immunity should qualify! It’s like BLM arguing racism is worse than slavery.
LOL yeah right, of course it was. whateva…
All this woke history racist transphobic nonsense is getting really tedious, people did nasty shit to each other in the past in the name of competition for resources, greed & ego, what’s really changed?
Have you not wondered why this identity politics BS is getting traction & why politicians seem impotent to stop it? Because they don’t want to stop it, most of them are actively facilitating it. Ask instead why are they doing this. History repeating!
Pause for thought. Britain is routinely castigated by those people for the slave trade ergo racism. Some bullet points.
1. The 19thC conquest of Africa was started by Albanians who took over Egypt, conquered Sudan and went as far as modern day Chad with the express desire to “obtain negroes” 1840s-50s.
2. The reason the Boers left British South Africa was not all about the nobility of independent republics but because they wanted to keep their slaves.
3. The reason for British activity in West Africa was entirely about suppression of the slave trade; the French only had their trade ports returned, post Waterloo, after agreeing to put an end to it while the Danes, and others, gave up altogether.
3b. Britain’s first actual colony in West Africa was Sierra Leone, established as a home for 100,000 slaves freed by the RN West Africa Squadron*, those freed slaves who fought for Britain in the American Uprising and freed slaves from the West Indies.
* Who feared re-enslavement should they return to their original homes.
None of this is taught school, never has been.
Why is it wrong to discriminate on the basis of how white you are but perfectly all right to discriminate against a perfectly healthy person because they do not take poison?
You don’t want to get me started on discrimination. Discrimination is a matter of survival, humans are herd animals they like to stick with their own kind for safety.
That tribe mentality applies to all walks of life & all aspects of life, discrimination is like water is to a fish, without you die. The woke religion is no different, they are all virtual signalling conformists.
The worst thing about Liberals is their hypocrisy.
Homophily is not the same as discrimination.
Yes it is.
One is the tendency to bond with those that are similar to ourselves, and the other is the prejudicial treatment of a category of people, usually based on some immutable characteristic.
You can take the word discrimination to mean the recognition of the difference between things to win the argument, but that’s not really how it is used in this context.
But otherwise I agree with your post 🙂
You sound remarkably like a liberal. I don’t think i’d like to continue this conversation with you.
See how it works?
Not really, no.
I actively discriminate against drunk people as they stagger about on the street even though I’m not averse to the odd snifter now and then.
cool
“One is the tendency to bond with those that are similar to ourselves, and the other is the prejudicial treatment of a category of people, usually based on some immutable characteristic.”
In practice these are the flip-sides of the same thing.
One of the classic examples of “discrimination” in this country was the not uncommon (but nothing like universal) preference not to let property to blacks. This was precisely the flip-side of the preference of people in question to deal with kinds of people they are familiar with. You can also choose to describe it as “the prejudicial treatment of a category of people” if you prefer, but that doesn’t change what it is.
I wonder how many Government residences (Downing Street, Chequers etc.) and Royal palaces and houses in the extensive lists of such places are heated with heat pumps or other plant of the types we are to be blagged and beggared into using.
They will probably claim exemption by virtue of being listed buildings which would be damaged too much by installing these inefficient and ugly monstrosities.
More than likely, but anything they do will be paid for straight out of the pockets of the Great (formerly) British Public.
You mean buildings built during the age of slavery-derived profits and likely using slave tainted money. The zealots should be demanding their demolition and replacement with windowless insulated dwellings fit for the New Age of Enlightenment.
‘Los Angeles Children’s Hospital Recent Study’
“While the media and government project that Covid19 is just as dangerous for all social and demographic cohorts, this isn’t the case as the elderly with comorbidities are far more at risk than young healthy persons. Recent research . . .”
Which part of the findings from their recent research has not been common knowledge since the very beginning of Covid19/Lockdown 1 Spring 2020?
The only real finding is that someone got paid for doing the work; even that is pretty obvious!
Why nothing in the Roundup about yesterdays Halloween Walk in Central London?
There’s plenty of it about.
How many tons of CO2 will be created moving Bidens 85 car cavalcade from his shindig with the Pope at G20 to COP26?
Of course, increasing CO2 is a very good thing; levels are currently very low and plants are being starved – hence a big part of increasing yields over the last few decades!
Bring on the megaflora Now.
Please note
Excellent, there should be more posts like this.

“Why do the modellers always seem to get Covid infection rate wrong?”
Because it’s hard to model the future FULL STOP and they’re not very good at it.
They can’t even model the past accurately most of the time.

The summary should have referred to a reduction (rather than increase) in cloud cover (more sunshine) as contributing to the warming of recent years!
