Australia to Stop Manufacturing AstraZeneca Covid Vaccine, Blaming “Negative Press” for Lower Uptake
Australia is set to stop manufacturing the AstraZeneca Covid vaccine because fears over side effects mean the jab is “not going to be utilised” as much as others. Health officials have pinned the blame for these fears on “negative press”. The Mail Australia has the story.
The federal Government in November last year contracted Australia biomedical firm CSL to produce 50 million doses of the vaccine at its manufacturing hub in Melbourne.
At the time worldwide vaccine development for the coronavirus was in its fledgling stages and policymakers prioritised domestic production as a necessity during the crisis.
But just one month after its launch in March 2021, the Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation (ATAGI) pulled the pin on younger Australians receiving the dose due to the extremely rare risk of fatal blood clots – about one in 1.6 million. …
ATAGI flip-flopped on their health advice recommending the AstraZeneca jab only to over-50s, before ratcheting up the warning to over 60s – with the age bracket less susceptible to developing blood clots.
Then as the Delta outbreak started ravaging NSW and Victorian in the winter months the medical body suggested it should be considered for over-18s living in a hot spot area.
But by that stage the reputation of the safe and effective vaccine was tarnished and many Australians decided to wait for Pfizer and Moderna supplies to filter into the country from abroad.
“Obviously we don’t want to manufacture something that is not going to be utalised and we will have a number of other options moving into the future,” Associate Professor Paul Griffin from the University of Queensland told 9News.
“It obviously has received a lot of negative press although it’s a vaccine that has proven highly effective and very safe.”
Some of that ‘bad press’ came from a very unlucky source back in June with Queensland Chief Health Officer Jeannette Young adding to the disinformation and later being accused of “fear mongering”.
“I don’t want an 18 year-old in Queensland dying from a clotting illness who, if they got Covid, probably wouldn’t die,” she said after the Prime Minister urged younger people to consider taking the AstraZeneca jab.

(a. Did COVID19 close UK schools?
The answer is no. Schools were closed because of govt lockdown policy.
(b. Should any person be forced to take a medical treatment so that they are able to partake in society or education?
Again the answer is of course no. A person should only ever take a medical treatment voluntarily for a medical reason. In the case of the UK COVID19 approved vaccines that reason should be to prevent infection and transmission; which neither AZ, Pfizer or J&J do, or prevent illness; which none of them do either, and the risk of suffering serious illness is so infinitesimally small for children due to COVID19 that there is no compelling reason for them to be administered at all.

Yes, that would be the Australian Capital Territory, the administrative jurisdcition of the federal government. The Chinese and Russian jabs were quickly discredited. That was pretty easy.
The AZ jab took a little longer, it was a western jab after all, from Oxford no less and supported by the British government, so needed a lot more work.
But in the end Pfizer and Moderna, who share the same tech and are basically the same jab, created by the same people, got their way and cleared the field.
They didn’t create a fake pandemic to have some others come and cut in on their racket…

A friend of mine visited Australia to see his mum a few years ago (she’d moved there from England) and upon his return he mentioned that he was struck by how thick everybody seemed. That, and the extreme health and safety culture.
Watching the Australian politicians doing their speeches, it is striking how thick they come across as. By contrast, in the UK, deluded, evil, arrogant, crazy and venal, yes; but not necessarily thick.
If any Western nation was to down the rabbit hole to this extent it was Australia.
Both Gunner and Daniel Andrews in Victoria have extensive links with the Chinese Communist Party. Perhaps coincidentally, they are both meting out the most brutal gene therapy mandates. No word on whether it will be challenged in court. AZ is DNA viral vector and differs from mRNA in an important way. It inserts the DNA into the subject’s cell nucleus, as opposed to the mRNA which only reached the cytoplasm. How these very significant medical interventions will play out long-term, we have no idea. We already have some research from the Netherlands demonstrating that these injections are permanently altering the innate immune system, but it’s just too early to know anything substantial at this time and nothing is proven.

In it, the presenter interviewed Australia’s top infectious disease paediatrician, Professor Robert Booy, in which he told parents the under 12s are at zero risk from covid-19 and will just get a cold. Then he reassured them vaccines would be ready for their kids in the new year.
