Premier League to Reward Clubs with Highest Numbers of Vaccinated Players

Amid concerns of a low vaccine uptake among professional footballers, the Premier League has sent a briefing note to all 20 clubs outlining that the body might reward teams for making sure their players are double jabbed. What these potential incentives may be remains unclear. In addition, the Premier League has cited concerns over international travel and the likelihood of vaccine passports being introduced in the near future. The Mail has the story.

The Premier League has written to clubs informing them of plans to “reward” teams who have the highest numbers of vaccinated players

Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante was confirmed on Tuesday as the latest player to contract Covid, forcing him to miss his side’s Champions League clash against Juventus on Wednesday night.

And Sportsmail can reveal that in a briefing note sent to clubs last week, the Premier League are stepping up their efforts to ensure more players are fully vaccinated due to fears over a slow uptake.

The document read: “According to the data we have, only seven clubs’ squads are more than 50% fully vaccinated, so we have a way to go.”

Sportsmail revealed last week that at least two Premier League sides have no more than six players vaccinated.

But Wolves, Brentford and Leeds have reported between 89 and 100% vaccination levels and there is growing optimism that the figures at other clubs will increase in the coming weeks.

The note continued: “We are considering if and how best we can ‘reward’ those squads/players who are most Covid-compliant and who have opted to be vaccinated.

“It is increasingly clear that full vaccination will be the key criteria for Government and health authorities, in terms of international travel and potential Covid certification at large scale events.”

They’re going to look like total morons when the death and casualty figures from “vaccination” come in over the next months and years.

Unfortunately the Premier League honchos generally have about as much intelligence as the players, although if the latter continue to resist being jabbed I am ready to apologise to them

Would imagine they will all be candidates for the saline shot – to give them one of the kill shots with graphene oxide in it would be the equivalent of breaking a leg on a prize race horse. PL Chairmen aren’t going to sanction risking the health of some very expensive assets

Can the number be inferred from the number of heart attacks occurring on the pitch in their matches?

“It is increasingly clear that full vaccination will be the key criteria for Government and health authorities, in terms of international travel and potential Covid certification at large scale events.”

No it’s not.

It’s clear that a certain group of people are trying to coerce governments and populations into demanding this. But it is far from clear they will succeed.

Did Kante contract covid or simply test positive?. There is a difference. The former implies bedridden with hideous symptoms, the latter possibly a dodgy PCR testing procedure.

My immediate thought, too. But then, even if Kante had been jabbed up the yin yang, he could still be testing positive, catching it and passing it on.

And where is the PL getting the cash for its ‘rewards’ from, I wonder?

Maybe the “reward” is that they won’t be punished? Think Orwellian speak. Like the word “freedom” now means slavery.

Footballers are young, by definition, and they’re among the fittest people in the country.

They’re the least at risk.

It’s noticeable that any health benefits for the individuals concerned don’t even rate a mention.

I know it’s because there aren’t any, but they’re so cocky they know they don’t even have to pretend.

For fuck sake!!! They’re fit young athletes who will most likely shrug off covid. Can’t shrug of myocarditis though……

Too bad covid infections cause statistically more cases of myocarditis than the vaccines then.

“The vaccines” are a covid infection. So as a subset of covid infections, you’re absolutely right that vaccines cause fewer cases of mycarditis than the entirety of covid infections.

Good troll.

My child’s year group was getting vaccinated this week. 2 children in the year went home feeling unwell after the vaccine (that my child knows of – may have been more). One of these was complaining of chest pains during the lunch hour.
This is so not right.

Sports and exercise are such a pre-2019 concept anyway. Let the team with most jabs win by default, and you can watch all the jabbing online. That way clubs could save on players’ salaries as well (and let those be diverted to noble causes like developing new types of jabs).

Not sure I understand this. The Premier League is a private company, wholly-owned by its 20 member clubs. So why are they writing to each other to ‘encourage’ each other to do something? It’s not like they’re writing to their employees; this is something that must have been talked about at board level that board members would then take back to their own clubs.

I suspect that fourth/fifth-choice chief exec Masters has undoubtedly been leant on, and taken it on himself to issue these edicts. I hope they tell him to wind his neck in.

It is part of the Digital ID framework to get major stakeholders on board, to do the govt dirty work. The OL, Royal Opera House, Royal Albert Hall all desperate to get in board and keep in the govt good books.
pathetic tossers the lot of them.

How many soccer players in Europe have died of COVID? Have been hospitalized from COVID?

Of those who have tested positive, what percentage had asymptomatic cases or only very mild symptoms?

What percentage of athletes who tested positive later came back to play with no ill effects?

In other words, could some reporter somewhere in the world try to QUANTIFY the “health risk” to athletes?

Which leads to this final question: If these athletes face no risks from this disease, why do they need to be protected from it?

Leeds one of the most vaccinated clubs? This is a side that depends on non-stop running to close down opposition players, as it has done for the past 3 seasons – Leeds fans have commented on how the players now seem exhausted during the last 10-15 minutes of matches. Just a coincidence, I’m sure.

NBA players declining the vaccines as well. My husband said this morning, “what do they know”? My reply the same thing we all know. 15.000 deaths and 750,000 adverse events post vaxx in the USA cdc VAERS. Young men injured 1:1000 myocarditis. Please respond to the department of Health and Social Care’s request for your input regarding vaxx passports. Lithuania and Australia, France and Italy the guinea pigs. Britain, next on the list.
