Vaccine Passports Back on Table as U.K. Government Seeks Public Views on Winter Plan
The U.K. Government is asking for public feedback on the use of domestic vaccine passports in indoor and outdoor venues if cases threaten to overwhelm the NHS this winter. The “Plan B” proposals could see nightclubs, concert halls, sporting events and outdoor festivals require proof of Covid vaccination status, with the opportunity to add more venues if necessary. The Telegraph has the story.
Ministers last night insisted the Government needed to be prepared to “act swiftly” and adopt measures such as vaccine passports “at short notice” if there were “unsustainable pressures” on the NHS as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Health Minister Maggie Troup said: “While we are totally confident the careful steps we are taking will help rule out the need for mandatory vaccine certificates, we need to be prepared for all scenarios.
“We know these kinds of contingency plans will only work if businesses and the public get to have their say and I’m urging everyone who could have to use certification: give us your views, give us your ideas.”
Industry and the public have been given until October 11th to respond to the planned vaccine passports, which would be mandatory for all adults over 18 attending the prescribed venues, and will require legislation.
Under the plan, only double-vaccinated people would be certified by the passports. Negative Covid tests and proof of natural immunity after recently recovering from the virus would no longer be permitted.

If you don’t want to see vaccine passports introduced this Winter, please respond to the Government’s consultation here.

What a bunch of jokers they really are 🤡
“Jokers”. You’ve missed out the ‘N’ the ‘C’ the ‘S’ the ‘T’ & the ‘U’.
Talking of long running jokes here’s Hatt Mancock… with his own TV show

“We’ve got through it”. I coped with approx. 2 seconds of that before I had to stop it. It should come with a trigger warning.
I’ve provided feedback – not that they’ll take any notice!
Me too!
And me.
I just used the word “c*nts” on a government webpage. Was that wrong of me?
Perfectly justifiable! 🙂
Absolutely not wrong.
Yes it was. You make us all look like crackpots and cranks. Well done.
I doubt they’ll even look at the results. The reaction has already been decided, this is ‘gesture’ surveying.
some of the questions were framed to give results they are looking for.
why were you so restrained?
No!!!!
Me too.
I was unable to view my response at the end though. I suspect it has been deleted by an algorithm programmed to ignore phrases like “monstrous crimes against humanity”, “fear campaign”, “deaths to rocket this winter due to ADE”, “corona fraud” etc etc.,
Me neither. I called them biased & accused them of apartheid.
same experience
I couldn’t view my response either, but I did not use invective or abusive language so it might just automatically delete responses that include too many “no”s for their liking.
My final offering to the question about what else the govt could do to encourage vaccine take-up, was a suggestion that they disqualify anyone with a financial interest in the pharmaceutical industry from a place on any regulatory body linked with medicines and healthcare.
Same experience
Ditto, see my comments above. I am apop fuxxing lectic.
Possibly not, but if we DON’T respond they’ll say that no one is against the idea.
All of us know precisely the direction this is going. I just wish they would spare us the pretence that they are actually listening to the public when they have probably already handed out contracts for the passport scheme.
They treat us like fools which, unfortunately the majority are
They have. In June or July I believe.
Er, the vaxxport (social credit score app) already exists in England, and is being enforced by businesses.
https://www.gov.uk/guidance/nhs-covid-pass#how-to-access-the-nhs-covid-pass
It is possible to exempt yourself from this (as with masks) but the current consultation states that only clinically verified exemptions will be valid. Even if I had one, I couldn’t get to see a doctor anyway. Anyone know a private doctor looking for a side gig?
Do you really think they are going to allow people to exempt themselves? Sure, maybe you will be able to avoid getting jabbed, but all that means is that you will be one of those without a vaxx-pass and you’ll have access to nowhere, not even your bank account.
This talk of ‘being exempt’ isn’t going to wash when they really come for you.
Yes, I do. Because the vaccines are just the tool to get us to the vaxxports.
They have nothing to do with health or infection, the point is just to get us inculcated to showing our digital papers and begging the State (by proxy) for permission to carry out everyday activities.
They will “allow” everyone that privilege. At first.
That’s what I keep telling everyone! Your vaxx-pass arrived ages ago. it’s up there in ‘The Cloud’ with your name on it, just waiting for you to download it into your smartphone, or print a copy.
Within a year you will see devices at entrances to shops and other buildings which will scan your vaxx-pass. By then it will be in the form of a plastic credit card with a chip and contactless transfer. Without the latest ‘jab’ your vaxx-status and card will be invalid.
If you prefer, you can buy a wristwatch with the vaxx-pass chip installed inside that.
Indeed, I suspect the current delay to the English roll out will be to get a remote scanner app done so that we can present our digital papers at a safe distance from the day-glo-Denzeel guarding the door at Tesco.
I wish they could be confident in their own tyranny. You didn’t see Stalin consulting the public about how they felt about the Gulag. Pol Pot didn’t send out a Microsoft Form before forcibly relocating the urban population to collectivist farms, did he? This lot need to get a backbone – just oppress us already, don’t ask us whether it’s a good idea! 🙄
Tyranny Questionnaires 🙄

It’s a pretty depressing day and development.
My top 3 are this one, Kathy Hochul going completely mad- listen to her sermon, unbelievable- and the Aussies going completely mad.
The JNJ to**ers make up slightly for it, but they will just be ignored anyway.

Good grief!
“Kathy Hochul going completely mad”
What a load of bollocks. “God made the scientists who invented the vaccine”. God made the virus, you silly cow! Good thing he also made the money you’re raking in from your gullible victims!
The devil in the form of Faucism made the virus.
Negative tests and or proof of natural immunity would not be permitted.
A bloody app on a ‘phone confirming two injections, shortly three, will be sufficient.
Haven’t I read somewhere that even the injected carry the same or higher risk of transmission as the non injected? And even carry a viral load 251 times higher than we refuseniks?
Talk about taking the proverbial.
🤡
No… you are making things up.
Satire?
“. . .Haven’t I read somewhere that even the injected carry the same or higher risk of transmission as the non injected? . . .”
That’s correct hp. And the interesting thing is that it’s official data published on GOV.UK. that highlights the fact. This short 7 minute video by ‘Politico’ explains all. Enjoy . . .
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZDEpqbrbP7I&t=5s
Very interesting! The last scintilla of plausibility just rode out of town….
Wow. This vid has been taken down.
That’ll be Google/YouTube – they don’t like people referencing government stats to make a strong – in this case watertight – argument against the government narrative. Bitchute to the rescue!
https://www.bitchute.com/video/0SeTha8mZ3lL/
So someone like me who had a bad case of covid and has the antibodies to prove immunity, would not qualify. So much for following the science!
Though even if they did allow previously infected people to qualify I would still be against vaccine passports in principle.
Same here. The fact that the government banned antibody tests very soon after I had mine was enough to convince me that it’s all a load of treachery and blatant lying.
not about immunity or public health – wonder whether it is worth writing to MP to ask why?
“A bloody app on a ‘phone confirming two injections, shortly three, will be sufficient.”
potentially, you could also be carrying measles. TB. dengue fever. zika virus. H1N1. rocky mountain fever. ebola.impetigo. or indeed any combination of the above – as long as you’ve got your c-19 pass!
Read this and ponder…

It isn’t about public health or immunity HP, as an elected elected representative let slip in a delicious sound bite for the local BBC teatime news night before last.
“NI simply hasn’t enough people vaccinated” was the reason given to the interviewer as the justification for his desire to see vaxx passports introduced in NI – described by one politician at the weekend as a “no-brainer”. I struggled greatly with that view as she clearly fails to see that they do not reduce transmission or prevent infection and simply give the sufferer a reduced level of severity of the illness – in total contrast to naturally acquired immunity.
So – in no short order vaxx passports are needed to coerce people into having a medically risky procedure for which they would not be able to give informed consent. And the ONS latest model [modelled on 2 other models so all rubbish data then] will be hoovered up by the MSM and further parroted as the government’s justification and it will become even MORE difficult to justify remaining unvaxxed. It is actually so devious that if things were different you would have to kind of grudgingly admire it in a way.
“… if there were “unsustainable pressures” on the NHS as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.”
Are so few able to work out the cart-before-horse illogic of this? The pressures on the NHS are political in origin – just like the Covid scam in total.
18 months on, and nothing has been done to increase capacity.
You have to be a bit dim to miss the obvious.
Perhaps its not as obvious as you seem to think. I do have some knowledge of NHS practices but am reluctant to provide details since I risk making things difficult for trusted sources.
Let’s just say the NHS and some of it’s senior employees (clinical and administrative) are very capable and willing of holding the government and the country to ransom. The reverence in which the NHS is held makes it particularly easy for them.
I expect you are right but also agree with Rick H. Broadly speaking, demand for healthcare is infinite so you have to ration it. How much you ration it, and how much slack you build in for seasonal increase in demand, are political decisions. Whether or not you think the NHS ought to be able to “cope” with the resources it has, if the government say it can’t but don’t increase capacity, that’s a political decision and they are trying to have their cake and eat it.
demand is infinite because cost is ~zero it’s only by bumping up the pseudo costs of annoyances (waiting lists, unpleasantness) (with all the health damage this causes) that the NHS “manages” demand
Yes indeed. Of course the cost isn’t zero but there’s a disconnect between usage and cost which has advantages and disadvantages.
the additional direct treatment linked cost to the person is ~zero.
separating usage and cost never has advantages as subsidy is necessary and subsidy always harms quality (amongst it’s other problems).
“separating usage and cost never has advantages” It’s an advantage if you’re unlucky enough to be seriously ill/injured.
No, demand isn’t ‘infinite’, but there is a problem with managing it. And, of course, those able to exploit demand may do so.
It’s an on-going problem.
But I’d worry about those issues more if supply hadn’t been throttled in order to simply divert revenue. Cost restrains are a clumsy mechanism.
Demand is effectively always going to outstrip supply unless there is some constraint placed on it. I am lucky enough to be pretty healthy, for now, and have been most of my life, but at my age I have a list of minor ailments that I could see medical help for, except that the doctor would quite rightly tell me to stop bothering him and let him get on with treating sick people.
As for supply being throttled, it’s a political choice but one that makes no sense when taken with pissing billions up the wall on futile covid theatre, furlough etc etc. It makes no sense for the government to do it and no sense for the population to demand it – the same population that voted for this government in the first place.
And the NHS always says that it’s under severe pressure every winter – has done for years. The government are on a pretty safe bet if they are working on the basis that it will do so this winter, as normal.
The pressures on the NHS are from vaccinated people.
https://humansarefree.com/2021/09/covid-19-deaths-higher-than-this-time-last-year.html
https://boriquagato.substack.com/p/employer-vaccine-mandates
An Italian problem vs an Alabama solution. Put the employers on da hook!
If that italian attempt to out do the film Brazil is true then some proapartheid politicians have vastly more than covid to worry about.
The NHS pressure is caused by lockdown measures removing staff and capacity.
Talk about self confirming nonsense.
I had the misfortune to have to call 111 and NHS 24 this weekend.
After the 90 minute wait to get through, they did everything to get me to describe coof symptoms, asking the same questions repeatedly.
When I was finally allowed to speak to a doctor (6 hours later), he repeated the same process, and then told me that I should assume and act as though I had the coofs even though I had an entirely unrelated issue and my only possible coof symptom was a temperature of 37.2C, which I suspect was from holding a phone clamped to my ear for half the day.

Another Communist policy being introduced under this “Conservative” government.
They also want to ban anyone from standing for election who has ever sent a controversial tweet (wrongthink).
Lockdowners and all you people who got the jab purely because of coercion and not because you are actually at risk, thank you for this. Your acquiescence of bodily autonomy and civil rights has emboldened this Junta and allowed it to build the facilities for a neo-Communist digital slave state.
So let me get this straight. Cases are overwhelming the NHS, the forever pandemic is rearing its head again. Bodies everywhere. And so, to save Albert’s pint down the pub on a Saturday night, where he’ll run the gauntlet of the pulsing pandemic raging throughout society, all for the sweet taste of Stout, we ban a slither of society from partaking. That about right?
Who is going to be overwhelming the NHS in such a scenario exactly? It can’t be the vaccinated, oh no. That would be absurd. Who then? For the NHS was overwhelmed last year with pubs and events closed and zero vaccinations. So, even then the unvaccinated were getting it despite the measures.
The whole thing makes no sense within their own framing. It only makes sense as a control infrastructure for totalitarianism.
It seems right-wing neo-fascism has wishfully disappeared in favour of ‘communism’ (although most who use the word here, I note, haven’t a clue about it).
It’s all a bit like the other myth – the disappearance of the ‘flu because it suited the Narrative of Covid.
https://www.thenewera.uk/the-non-disclosure-pact/
One way of resisting.
Especially for the vaxxed, who thereby might prevent that they will soon come for them too.
Well, good luck making a principled moral stand with the day-glo Denzeel guarding the door at Tesco.
‘Even amongst friends and family who casually ask if you are “vaccinated”, say, “I have taken the non-disclosure pact, which means I don’t reveal medical information to anyone but a doctor of my own choosing. I am anti-apartheid and stand in solidarity with those being defined as “vaccinated” and those being labelled as “unvaccinated”.’
Nice idea in principle but…
…If I was to say this to a friend or neighbour who asked me if I had been vaxxed they would look at me as if I had 5 heads. They simply don’t get that by being jabbed they have been enslaved as they believe that there is a deadly disease out there and the MSM has brainwashed them into believing that being jabbed is the only way to be “safe” from it.
This from the government led by that well-known closet sceptic and closet libertarian, Alexander “Boris” Johnson. Poor chap, being bullied into introducing restrictions he doesn’t like by those nasty people from SAGE.
Yes, this is yet more proof the claim, which was moronic and contradictory before, is copper-bottomed balderdash.

Fringe meeting at the Labour conference.
Just to add to the confusion Saj sent out a notice yesterday saying shielding was no longer necessary.
Mandatory Covid passes will be debated and voted on by the Senedd. The vote on whether to pass the new law will be held on 5th October. Contact your representative and make your feelings known:

At this point we might as well just ask them what result has already been decided.
The result of the discussions held last week was that the result will be unanimous.
The political classes all seem to hang together.
They certainly should
I remember Michael Gove ‘asked’ Telegraph readers about this.
The readers almost invariably told him to shove it up his nose. Only the usual trolls supported them so the Telegraph made it seem that there was support for this absurdity and, here we are again, with this fake consultation, trying to justify the unjustifiable.
There were thousands of comments telling him to shove it. Even he must have noticed! …but then again…
He almost certainly didn’t care, if he did notice.
Why am I not surprised by the government of U-Turns?
This wasn’t a u-turn, they’re just letting the Celtic Fringe pull ahead for a moment to find any bumps in the road.
What drivel is this? “Back on the table”? It’s never been off the table. Vaxxports (social credit score apps) already exist in all regions of Britain and are being demanded right now as contractual terms.
This week they’ll be mandated in the Celtic Fringe, and England will very soon follow, once they get synced up with the EU system.
Why on earth is this site of all places pretending otherwise? How many times are we expected to feign belief in this farcical theatre?

They keep on keeping on. Meanwhile where is the practical resistance? Marches, letters, petitions, have not worked. Time for leadership or let’s just keep moaning on here until they cart us off for reeducation or worse. We’re just Australia in slow-mo.
People are afraid of real resistance, saying that ‘inciting insurrection’ will only get people into trouble with the authorities.
Of course it will. But I want the authorities to get in trouble with US. I oppose violence but sooner or later it will become unavoidable, since freedom and justice are worth dying for.
My point about leadership is that resistance is only effective (and might avoid bloodshed) if there is organisation and direction in the open and using democratic channels. So far we are winning the argument but failing to make any impact. Unless the likes of Kurten or Fox get busy we will just get increasingly embittered. There has to be more we can do short of staging a coup or terrorism which are self defeating.
Nope. There is nothing legal we can do. Every arm of the state, civil society, media, subsidized businesses, the charity sector, education, trade unions etc – all of that is on board with the vaccines fascism.
The little parties standing up for the big thing – freedom – need to unite in a unified type of coalition against both govt and labour – which are both arguing for same thing
Violence works. It almost always works. People who say “violence never solves anything” have never landed a decent punch.
Violence might be inevitable, but there is stll stuff we can and should do before it breaks out. It is not desirable and will likely fail as a desperate gesture.
Wasn’t it Groucho Marx who said something along the lines of “I wouldn’t be a member of any club that would have me as a member.”
Imagine the self-satisfied conversations inside vaxxed-only establishments. We wouldn’t want to be in those places anyway. Let them all sit around and compare their
adverse reactionsvirtuousness.Yep. The more this clown show goes on, the more I just want to detach myself from it all. All these venues I won’t be allowed to go to – well, so what? I really don’t care anymore. I’d rather be with just family and trusted friends, doing our own thing…until I’m thrown into the gulag or whatever.
Agreed, HH, however I face the prospect of having to spend christmas on my own while my extended family celebrate it together, purely because if I was to join their party I would need to stay in hotel accommodation on christmas night and the hotel might not let me in if I am sans vaxx passport. Not a case of there being no room at the inn, but the inn wanted access to my medical records before admitting me.
The questionnaire is a joke…….full of loaded questions.
I gave up in disgust.
Yes there is one that asks if there should be vaccine mandates for customer-facing employees only, or for all employees. The only alternative is “Don’t know” 😀
I replied that it was a trick question and completely typical of their approach. If I owned such a venue, was a hands-on manager, and wasn’t vaxxed, would they then make me close my business? One for the lawyers.
I noticed that…also some very convoluted questions, had to read them twice to understand what they were trying to say
Me too!
Totally standard consultation. the decision is already made; engagement with the consultation is taken as acceptance.
engagement is total waste of precious time.
When I qualified and worked as a houseman part of my job was to find medical beds. I had to ring around various wards and local hospitals. Not an easy job. Since those days the population of the UK has increased by millions, the number of acute NHS medical beds has declined, many community hospitals have closed and life expectancy has increased . The bed search is now done by a ” bed manager ” . I can predict with certainty there will be considerable pressure on the NHS this winter because there is every winter so the government will have its excuse for covid passports The media seem to be ignoring the NHS calamity of the last summer months. A and E s have been full with very long waiting times often eight or nine hours. The 111 service has lost most of its GP s and parents with snotty kids are piling up in A and E. Not wanting to go into the vaccine debate I would only from my experience say that in September the vast majority of the sick Covids ie admitted with significant respiratory symptoms had been double jabbed. The jab certainly has not provided… Read more »
PT, I can verify your third para from very recent personal experience of A&E ( midlands )
Reminiscent of that other government lie … “Just three weeks to flatten the curve.”
We all know that there are going to be ‘unsustainable pressures’ on the NHS.
The Manufacturers of the experimental gene therapy have clearly stated it is not designed to stop transmission or infection. Date from Israel (arguably patient 0 in the whole test scenario) shows clearly that any protection there is from severe outcomes is short lived and will require frequent and unlimited top ups.
Meanwhile natural immunity, which has been repeatedly proven to be robust, flexible, and very long lasting (maybe lifetime), is not considered acceptable. There are two possible explanations.
1) The government is saying it is impossible to test for natural immunity. This is untrue. Lab testing of blood for immune response (not an antibody test, an immune response test) is readily available, albeit costly and time consuming. However probably not £37 billion costly.
2) The rapidly becoming obvious explanation. This is about control. Nothing else.
Chinese Creidt system and of course the Great Reset in order to fight the climate emergency.
the extra tax from designating airborne plant food as pollution is purely to enable rent-seeking.
Takes 3 minutes to fill this in, which I have done. Not that it will make the slightest difference.
Can I just say re the Covid or shall we call them what they are Social credit system, call things what they are, not what you are told they are. I note that isn’t it strange that for the past almost 2 years since Lockdown, we have not had a shortage of drivers, or an issue with deliveries of fuel. Now it seems that along with the “climate emergency”, we cannot get access to fuel for cars, is this to drive us into electric cars? (excuse the pun) or to make us use public transport? If so perhaps Mr Johnson would like to explain to my rural community which is 5 miles from a small town and 19 miles from a major town with one bus per week, how exactly we are supposed to use public transport, or indeed where all the stations are to recharge the electric cars we currently do not have. I am deeply suspicious that the Great Reset is very much underway and the t—s behind it, have not thought the project through, because they will not be affected by it. Can I also remark that I love the way the Spectatot is completely ignoring the… Read more »
I note that the article says the criteria for all this is whether the NHS is ‘overwhelmed’ nothing about deaths, suffering or illness, nothing about fundamental human rights. With the NHS, the tail is now very much wagging the dog. The NHS was not set up as a stick with which to beat the people. It is strange how so many things we set up to help us, Police, NHS, Social Workers, Care Homes etc. end up becoming institutions of fear and oppression and effectively enemies of the people.
The NHS needs to be broken up not used as an instrument of oppression but no political party is likely to grasp that nettle.
Other countries that don’t have an NHS as such have done similar things to here, and worse. While it may have made things easier for those pushing the narrative, it’s not the cause. The idea that governments are responsible for public health is much more widespread and that has enabled the draconian actions taken. It’s quite hard to imagine what the world would look like without that idea – for example, there’s the question of sewage. There’s sensible government intervention in “public health” and then there’s using it as a cover from fascism. Hard to know exactly where to draw the line. If the various checks and balances had done their job (the press, courts, opposition, ordinary people, academia, supposedly “independent” institutions) then using the NHS as a stick to beat us with would have been much harder.
I agree the NHS should not be used as an instrument of oppression and am not qualified to comment on whether it should be broken up.
“it’s not the cause”
That’s the fundamental issue, and continual belly-aching about ‘the NHS’ is just a diversion from the central issue of the transformation of society onto a totalitarian state.
The key issues are rarely debated – i.e. the lack of constitutional protections for agreed fundamental rights, so that governments have widely been able to brush aside, for instance, the basic medical ethics that we have accepted as a given.
This is a wide-reaching coup, and whilst I would agree that party conferences are to intellectual stimulation what mogadon is to thought, a look at the Labour Party conference is instructive in seeing how widespread is the attack on democracy as establishment shills take over its institutions.
As I’ve already written a couple of times: Such constitutional protection exists in Germany. But constitions protect no one against goverments determine to ignore them who have a parliamentary majority which can be utilized to approve of anything the government wants in their pocket.
No so-called European democracy (I’m aware of) actually separates legislative and executive powers (ironically, the constitution of the German empire did that — something it’s still universally hated for by German democrats).
Did anyone on here not see this coming?!
