U.K. Set to Join E.U.’s Covid Vaccine Passport Scheme – Would Make Launching Domestic Passport Scheme Quicker

The Government has applied to link the U.K. to the E.U.’s Covid vaccine passport scheme – “to make journeys easier”, according to officials. More significant is the fact that joining it would enable ministers to launch a domestic vaccine passport scheme more quickly. The Telegraph has the story.

The Telegraph has been told by the E.U. that integration of the U.K.’s vaccine database into the E.U. system is at an advanced stage.

“Significant progress was made on a technical front, namely when it comes to the connection to the gateway, with aim of going live [testing] soon,” said a spokesman for the European Commission.

The U.K. Foreign Office and Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) have joint responsibility for the project in the U.K. They formally applied to join the E.U. scheme on July 28th, and technical work has been carrying on behind the scenes ever since.

“We have applied to link into the E.U.’s Digital Covid Certificate scheme,” said a Foreign office spokesman. “Linking up to the E.U.’s Digital Covid Certificate scheme will enable us to digitally verify each other’s Covid certificates to make journeys easier.”

The E.U. Digital Covid Certificate has quickly become the biggest vaccine passport scheme in the world and covers more than 40 countries, including all 27 E.U. states and others as far afield as Israel and Panama.

The system is effectively a giant digital platform or “gateway” through which different countries’ vaccine certificates and test results can be scanned and verified as legitimate by others quickly and easily.

It is is used on all external EU borders and also for domestic vaccine passports schemes operating in countries including France, Holland and Portugal.

So after seeing this, is there anyone that still doesn’t understand why this: https://hansard.parliament.uk/commons/2021-09-20/debates/A52729B6-FB5D-498F-86E4-569024C22623/Covid-19Vaccinations was such a joke?

That “debate” was an utter disgrace and an insult to every single person who signed those petitions against mandatory vaccination or discrimination against the unvaccinated. These MPs, who are paid to serve and represent us, should hang their heads in shame. Disgusting.

It was an absolute farce, just a ‘jabafest’. Truly sickening, from MPs who are supposedly elected to serve us rather than the other way round. Apart from a few Conservative rebels none of our MPs have stood up for the people that they represent. They should all be deselected.

No, we are not. The psychopaths are operating in the open now, and taking sadistic pleasure from our shocking, tragic predicament. The only thing they want us not to believe, is that the shots are harmful…
..I take that back.
I think they derive further sick satisfaction from being able to force us to take the shots everyone knows can be deadly.

I’m at that stage of life Mike, where the desire to travel still burns bright, having been to the F. East annually plus USA fly/drive and the odd short cruise thrown in since 2015. However, as an unjabbed 73yr old, I prefer to wave ‘adios’ to the freedom to travel. The thought of being tested, rule-following and being arsed around by jobsworths positively repels me. Simply not a price I’m willing to pay.

Neither. At a guess there’s probably around 6 million people in the UK who will have nothing to do with this so they’ll either need to shut us out of public life or make allowances. We may need to build our own networks of like minded people who wish to live outside this tyrannical system.

As suspected, the liar, fraud and charlatan who is our prime minister must be supporting this. Brexit itself was a fraud on the British public.

It’s now incumbent upon all Brexit supporting Tory MPs to defect to other parties as it seems they have no hold over the cabinet anyway.

Johnson
Gove
Hancock
Sunak
Whitty
Vallance
Welby
Cottrell
Macron
Biden
Merkel
Trudeau
The Prime Minister of New Zealand (Jacinta somebody or other)
The Prime Minister of Australia
The entire complement of SAGE
All senior NHS bureaucrats
All secretaries of State of the UK and the G20
Al members of the cabinet
Every bishop of the CofE
Every senior clergyman of the non-conformist churches (what a joke that is, how on earth can they be said to be non-conformist?)
All BBC reporters
The vast majority of reporters of newspapers, even including the Telegraph.
I am sure I have missed out some major miscreants. Perhaps others can fill in the gaps.

This is a loathsome, hypocritical, evil act.

But it will help to disabuse a few more “Conservative” supporters. It seems incredible that there still are any, and most of those remaining are irredeemable authoritarian power-worshipping Blairite party partisans. But there are still some waverers (I know a few) and many of them are steadfastly hostile towards the Euro-superstate. This will open a few more eyes, if it stands.

I once observed a dragonfly in a fight with a wasp. The wasp was repeatedly stinging the dragonfly in the abdomen. The dragonfly was focusing all its attention on the wasp’s neck and after a short while detached its head from its body. Damaged, poisoned, and exhausted the dragonfly died shortly after.

The problem is that I think the Tory party will genuinely win over some people on the authoritarian left, particularly those focused on establishment “green” issues (not real environmentalists) and covidians. I know people who are historically very anti Tory who’ve warmed to Boris Johnson on these points. Admittedly the people I know will vote Green, but I can imagine others might actually consider going blue. Yes, really…

Mark

Yep, that’s pretty depressing.

Then again, another Parliament dominated by these establishment party scumbags is pretty much baked in I suspect. It’s whether alternative parties to the Blairite globalist elite parties (“Conservative” Labour, Green, LibDem, SNP etc) can get themselves established as presences, for the election after, and how much will be left to salvage by then anyway.

Hmm…the Tories problem is that they are vulnerable to a challenge from the right. Farage forced Cameron’s hand on the EU referendum for example. They can’t satisfy both new voters from the left, and those on the right. Given that from our perspective Labour and the Conservatives are more or less the same party, why would we care about some voters going from one to the other?

Well after arriving in Panama on Wednesday on the second leg of our ‘great escape’ I can report without fear of contradiction that the EU vaccine passport has not reached this part of the world. We entered Panama using their own QR code system and no-one uses a covid passport system anywhere for anything here. They do however have a fetish about masks, having a mandatory requirement for their use outside in the wet high humidity which is just about the most stupid thing imaginable. Of course the almost non-existent virus here, does what it does everywhere and has the good manners not to affect diners or drinkers inside or out. So far our trip has been tiring but uneventful, one antigen test (free) in a Gaillac pharmacie has got us this far via Madrid. On the 7 October we will be taking one antigen each ( $28) at Clinimed in Panama for the flight to Tampa, which thankfully is before the Biden WH clampdown on unvaxed travellers. As it stands, after 8 weeks of glorious ‘De Santis-land’ freedom, we will be taking another antigen before leaving for France on 2 December. If the US stays ‘amber’ we will be… Read more »

The jabbed need to feel they’re getting something. This is about keeping up the charade, plain and simple; the bastards in charge of this horror have managed to change the culture – travelling and generally being free are things now viewed as irresponsible by the many. The bastards have managed to achieve this without use of force and without the hard work of changing laws via a democratic process and perhaps a gradual shift in sentiment. It’s the most well-funded advertising campaign the world has ever seen. But screw the lot of them. I and my family will carry on as normal – that is, travelling everywhere, experiencing no REAL restrictions (only some inconveniences which can mostly be avoided, if you only think a little creatively), and telling everyone we know that the Emperor truly Has No Clothes. The Siege, by Nick Keir of The McCalmans The siege was at its height, and the well was running dry. The mayor addressed the town, he said, “We’ll do it if we try!” And the soldiers on the wall, firing death into the air Never looking out for fear of what was there. I just had one of those lightbulb moments folks People get hot under the collar saying Vaxxine passports are about the planning for a Chinese style social credit system. They are wrong. The Chinese social credit system is now in place, throughout the Western world including the UK. The vaccines it is acknowledged do not provide immunity from or prevent the individual who has taken it from having or spreading the virus. But for taking the injection you are awarded your own digital pass that gives you back some of the freedoms also known as credits you used to have. The Unvaxxinated do not have the digital pass and so they are not allowed the same freedoms, they do not have the Governments awarded Credits, and so are not allowed to travel without harassment and punishment, they are not allowed in Restaurants, Bars, on Public transport, school or even to work as in Italy and France and those who work in designated professions in the UK. So by sleight of hand we have our own Social credit system already, which as we will witness over the months will be enhanced, possibly to include access to petrol, heating etc. All those… Read more »

Presumably the government has lied again in saying that they don’t think the under 50s need a booster or have I got that wrong? Because a passport systems will i imagine involve everyone keeping up to date with their ‘vaxx’ or the passport will be invalid. I can’t believe there will be a common agreement that just being double jabbed will suffice forever. How many will actually be willing to have boosters for their lifetime?

‘Brexit’ could never have been ‘done’ in the way advertised. It was based on total delusion about the real options available in the face of global finance and large power-blocks.

The image I’ve always had is of the tattered and patched UK canoe paddling its way up a dead end creek with a broken paddle, whilst the big boats carry on regardless, sending waves up the creek to upset the little canoe.

The problem was never the EU per se, but the nature and functioning of the EU – just as our current problems stem from the equally inadequate structures of our own ‘constitution.
