The Great Lockdown Debate

On September 27th please join me at the Great Lockdown Debate and Drinks Reception being organised by Modern Review, a new international magazine being launched early next year.

The motion is “Lockdowns of the past year caused more harm than good” and arguing for it alongside me will be Professor Carl Heneghan, Director of Evidence-Based Medicine at Oxford University, and Luke Johnson, businessman, entrepreneur and the former Chairman of Channel 4. Speakers on the opposing side will include Oliver Kamm, a Times leader writer, and Dr. Sonia Adesara, a medical doctor and former director of 50:50 Parliament. The debate will be moderated by former House of Commons Deputy Speaker Natascha Engel.

The venue is The London, a brand new super-luxury hotel just off Leicester Square. The evening will begin with a drinks reception at 6.30pm and the debate will start at 7pm. Tickets are £30, but the organisers have created a special offer for Daily Sceptic readers whereby you can get a 10% discount by going to this webpage.

Alternative link to the Project Veritas Vaccine Exposed. Youtube will undoubtedly take it down.

Now that I know when this is on, I can avoid and do something else.

Debating with Branch Covidian Doomsday Cultists cannot possibly be rewarding.

getting a bit tired of conversations looking back at what happened and whether it was right or wrong. I’m pretty certain the majority have made up their minds already. We keep ignoring the future and what is coming. How about some forward looking discussions.

“Drinks reception” Sorry, wrong tone entirely. This isn’t some fucking jolly jape. This is fascist evil we are fighting against.

Why did they not debate this within government openly then? Is this event just a way to sweep under the carpet by ‘triangulating’ opinions and pledging to ‘learn lessons’ while the terrible effects of wrong decisions continue to screw up society?

So it hasn’t been taken over (yet) to house recent arrivals to Dover from France then….

Judging by the downtick it looks like we have the “woke” on here now then, who welcome the use of luxury hotels to house illegal migrants.

Perhaps it was Ms Patel.

This is bollocks. There is no debate. They knew from the start that a very small section of the community faced any threat from the virus.

All this does is dignify the suggestion that an argument can be made for lockdowns when they are nothing but a malicious assault on our people, freedom and society.

By saving the NHS they have destroyed it, along with the nation’s health (e.g. see the report elsewhere of 10k additional cancer deaths).

Many other alternate media are also cashing-in on the situation; incentivising themselves to prolong it and avoid doing or saying anything effective to stop it. I’ve stopped visiting many sites because of that. My internet connection is due for renewal, no penalties if I don’t, maybe I won’t; it gives nothing I really want

I can summarise the debate in a word; the word is ‘Sweden’. There. £30 saved.

Don’t want to be facetious though. Good luck to the sane participants, hope it’s embarrassing for other side.

Is it possible to book without using an E Ticket? I’m not sure it will work on my Nokia?
