Boris Scraps Plans For Vaccine Passports

According to today’s Sunday Times, the Prime Minister will announce this week that he’s scrapping plans to bring in vaccine passports for nightclubs, cinemas and sports grounds at the end of this month.

On Tuesday, the prime minister will announce plans to try to keep Covid under control over the winter. He will say that he has abandoned the proposed compulsory certification scheme, which would have forced venues to check people’s vaccine status.

Johnson tore up the proposals after scientists said vaccinations would be an effective first line of defence against a winter wave of the pandemic. But the move also represents a significant concession to Tory backbench rebels who had complained that enforcing vaccine passports would create a group of second-class citizens.

Companies that already demand proof of vaccination will be able to continue but the new “toolbox” of measures will introduce masks and home-working only if rates soar.

The announcement will also mark the start of the government’s booster programme, with millions set to get a third jab this autumn.

The full details will be decided when the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) reports to ministers tomorrow, but the timetable is expected to mirror that for first injections, with the elderly and vulnerable jabbed first.

The four chief medical officers will also unveil plans to start vaccinations for 12 to 15 year-olds, with parental consent, beginning on September 22nd.

Worth reading in full.

This story should be treated with some caution, given how prone to changing his mind Boris is. But it’s of a piece with a story in the Sun on Sunday, clearly briefed out by Number 10, which says the Prime Minister will announce the end of numerous Covid regulations later this week.

Boris Johnson will this week light the touch paper to start a bonfire of Covid regulations.

Powers held to shut down swathes of the economy and impose limits on gatherings and events will be repealed.

The red tape roll-back is part of a masterplan from the PM, who is desperate to avoid any further lockdowns.

The temporary closing or limiting access to schools and powers to detain infectious people under the Coronavirus Act — called draconian by some Tory MPs — are no longer seen as necessary.

Downing Street views vaccines as the country’s “first line of defence” as we enter autumn and look to winter.

But there are still fears across Whitehall of Covid circulating alongside flu – while the threat of a new variant concerns ministers.

The PM, to unveil the strategy this week, last night said: “Thanks to the efforts of the public, the NHS and our phenomenal vaccination programme, we reached Step 4 in our roadmap and life has a sense of normality.

“These extraordinary times required necessary but intrusive measures.

“But I’m determined to get rid of any powers we no longer need.”

In addition, MailOnline is reporting that the requirement that returning travellers have to get two PCR tests – one just before they board an incoming flight, the second two days after arrival – is due to be scrapped in England in time for the half term holidays if you’ve been double jabbed.

Stop Press: Appearing on Trevor Philips’ Live on Sky News, Sajid Javid more or less confirmed the stories. He said he did not “like the idea” of vaccine passports and hoped to “avoid” introducing them, but didn’t rule it out.

He also said he did not want PCR tests for returning travellers to remain mandatory “for a second longer than is absolutely necessary”.

Stop Press 2: The Health Secretary went further in a subsequent interview with Andrew Marr on the BBC, confirming that vaccine passports will be scrapped. “I’m pleased to say we will not be going ahead,” he said.

Stop Press 3: Nicola Sturgeon is coming under pressure to scrap her own plans for Vaccine passports following the decision of the British Government, according to the Telegraph.

None of these concessions actually address the scientific illiteracy of their performance so far. Masks and firebreaks, jabs to stop spread and god knows what else we’ve been subjected to, schools closing etc.

Even if true, they are saying they won’t use them again this winter, they are not saying that they didn’t and do not work, cementing them as suitable interventions for decades to come.

I was just about to post exactly the same analysis myself : propose the outlandishly stupid/outrageous, and then retreat slightly, but keeping all other senseless or self-seeking measures in play.

You have to be a bit dim or massively gullible (or both) to swallow it.

But it works.

They are getting squeezed by the teachers Union and have laid the groundwork for a massive child vaccination program.
They are releasing the pressure on the vax pass lever to apply it HARD on the child vax program. They will also rollout mandatory masks very soon. And as the vax induced illnesses start amongst the kids, and or the corona (aka the flu) comes back, it will be blamed somehow on the unvaccinated refuseniks.
Then they will bring back vax pass.

Your final point is sorely missing elsewhere- the variants are induced via this jab – the jabs are creating the virus are creating the jabs and the snake its tail until a really deadly variant comes along and the fucking snake eats itself inside out

If he can take powers out on a whim, I assume that means he can put them back just as quickly “with a heavy heart”?

What powers remain, forced jabs for NHS and care home staff, mask mandates, holiday testing rules with colour coded countries, what else?

webtrekker

I believe they mean to relax vax passports so that as many people as possible attend superspreader events. Booster shots will further increase the risk of ADE’s due to the injection of billions of extra protein spikes into the host.

This will allow ADE (Antibody Dependent Enhancement) to run riot in the jabbed population, causing all manner of nasty side effects and death. They’ll blame these deaths on the unvaxxed that also attended the events, saying that they caused the spread of the ‘virus.’

Belive me, this is not good news. It’s simply another step in the Master Plan.

You don’t need an Armageddon scenario to see through this. Although prevalent enough to require the immediate cessation of vaccination in any other circumstance, serious adverse events will remain rare enough not to immediately affect the majority. Even (see bar chart and comments yesterday) alleged deaths from Covid are so rare as to be almost invisible when put in proper context – even amongst the most vulnerable.

What will remain in place is the fear generated around all these measures – to be used as an overall control mechanism.

If there is no logic for vaccine passports (there isn’t), then there is equally no logic for the illiberal ‘law’ mandating vaccine for care home workers.

The govt should repeal it ASAP.

It is an important part of understanding the coronavirus fraud that we also understand how 9/11 was brought about by the “deep state” in order to invade and asset strip the middle east.
These people are remorseless. The AE9/11 truth website is good to start with but it is extremely depressing and frightening to see the chaos and destruction they are prepared to bring about. True evil exists.

The simple reason people don’t call Biden ‘Joe’ is that there are hundreds of thousands, millions, of Joes (eg my son Joe). ‘Boris’ is OK as a means of identification for ‘it’ (OK?) as there are very few Borises in this country. Whereas there are thousands of Johnsons. I hope you can understand now. We’ll call him what we like.

It’s very likely; after all, didn’t the unions apply pressure to the government to bring in masks in shops, school closures, and indeed lockdown itself? Maybe also Saint Boris has been quietly threatened from being banned from his favourite pub; he doesn’t want a showdown like Kier Starmer had.

However, this “concession” does seem too good to be true, and that it’s a highly tactical move; they’ll find a way of making the public plead for passports, like they manipulated the public into pleading for lockdown.

My guess is that people might plead for a ‘vaccine passport’ to go abroad. It’s an easy step from there to flip it back to being a domestic passport. I wouldn’t put anything past the scheming liars that exact their tyranny over us, in their eyes, mere plebs.

I remember the week last summer when the media and the ‘opposition’ were howling for a mask law. I was so frightened that my face went numb – that effect of anxiety when you’re not breathing properly. Gove went on the Marr Show on the Sunday morning and said he thought masks shouldn’t be legally imposed. Like a fool, or a person accustomed to living in a liberal democracy, I believed him, and went to bed that night calmer and with a greater sense of wellbeing than in some time. Then the very next day the government said it was going to impose a mask law.
I want to believe Javid; I am massively stressed by the threat to my bodily autonomy represented by vaccine passports. But if I again breathe a sigh of relief, and relax a bit, it will be worse for me when they reverse their stance tomorrow, or perhaps next Thursday, or Saturday week.
Do we think people like Gove and Javid have any concept of the distress they cause to someone like me?

Sadly yes, and deliberately so. They are being told exactly how to destabilise, demoralise, and distress you, me, and anyone else with any kind of emotional intelligence at all.

These torturers are slaves to their power-granting masters, a hidden priesthood of the darkest elite, who themselves are willing worshippers of another god, who himself is nothing but another front for Satan.

All who participate in the disfigurement of mankind are nakedly psychopathic and cravenly evil. A lake of eternal fire awaits them. Until then, they are confident of their spiteful reign. May the end be soon, and may the judgement rained down upon them be a horror to behold.

I sympathise. I felt sick when wrinkly-Welsh-cheap-imitation-of-Stalin Dungford imposed the foul things. But remember – there are exemptions, which cannot be (and in my experience are not) challenged, and the same will apply to vaxports if they are brought in, which God forbid.

This is merely a respite. Too much time, money and organisation has been put into this to simply let it skate. At the very least it was used to embarrass Sturgeon, but other coersive methods will be forthcoming. Inundate your MP with data, facts, scientific studies and evidence of what’s happening in the real world regarding vaccination deaths, adverse effects and the hospitilisation of the vaccinated. We must generate cutting factual soundbites that resonate and collapse the narrative. #HOLDTHELINE

I posted this under TU earlier, from the Monotti/Yeadon Telegram channel on the Times article that the dictator is scrapping plans for vaxxports FOR THE WINTER. “I don’t trust anything either Boris Johnson or The Times says. When I see the word “scrapped” I think delayed. The key words in the title are “FOR WINTER.” There is no point in them implementing this just before the winter lockdown that the Johnson regime will inevitably impose in December.  They are probably scrapped for winter because there will be a lockdown anyway therefore this battle is now delayed for Spring. This was likely to be the plan all along. If you implement this in Spring when “cases” start coming down you can then lie that numbers are coming down because of the “passports”. In addition, I could imagine that the easy self-exemption under common law simply can not be ‘fixed’ (unlike in Scotland or like Scotland will find out, TBD). Therefore, the planned digital solution for that self-exemption would possibly if not likely have resulted in millions of self-exempted being able to use them abroad and for travelling with the same status as a vaxxed as well, if they were introduced. Something… Read more »

Sure, they’re ‘scrapping’ their plans. Just like they said in Oct/Nov 2020 that they had ‘no plans’ to even consider vaccine passports (but they had already paid two firms to develop them), that the Cabinet Office ‘survey’ in early 2021 was to ‘get peoples opinions’ on the good and bad aspects of vaccine passports and that it ‘would be only rolled out for foreign travel’ and not domestically for anything.

9 Pinocchios out of 10. Actions speak louder than words, boyo. I suspect they’ll use some confected ‘infection’, ‘hospitalisation’ of ‘death (with) COVID’ threshold to bring them back within a few months – probably to force the public to choose between vaccine passports (easily upgradable to a full social credit system) and cancelling Christmas as they did last year.

Will the general public capitulate yet again? My bet (sadly) is on yes. Most are either too stupid/naive or selfish to realise what is going on here.
