‘Traffic Light’ Travel System Could Be Scrapped Next Month – Only to Be Replaced by New System Based on Covid Vaccination
There’s good news and bad news on the travel front today. The good news is that the ‘traffic light’ travel system could be (partially) scrapped next month under plans being drawn up by ministers. The bad news is that officials have been told not to allow a return to normal but to create a new system based on Covid vaccination instead. The Telegraph has the story.
Officials have been told to develop a new system based on the vaccination status of travellers rather than the Covid rating of the country they are visiting.
It is likely to mean ‘Amber’ and ‘Green’ will disappear as separate categories, although ‘Red’ will continue with travellers still required to quarantine in hotels on returning from high-risk destinations.
Double jabbed holidaymakers can already travel to Amber countries without having to quarantine on their return after the Government ditched the requirement to self-isolate.
It means that for fully vaccinated travellers, visiting Amber or Green countries is exactly the same, requiring only pre-departure tests and then a PCR test within two days of returning to the U.K.
The proposed new two-tier system is only likely to have an impact on those who are not vaccinated. It is unclear, however, whether they would be required to continue to quarantine or face a more intensive testing regime on returning to the U.K.
The rethink of the traffic light system has been triggered by the Government’s promise to review it by October 1st when it was originally unveiled earlier this year.
It also coincides with the completion of the vaccination roll-out with all adults aged 18 and over offered both their jabs by the end of September.

This is no surprise. I fucking hate this government. I will not be coerced. They can fuck off with their “vaccine” passports. I would rather never travel abroad again than give in to their blackmail and get injected with their experimental shit. Australia’s scheme is working just fine – all Australians scared of getting beaten up by the Police, all browbeaten into wearing face masks and not straying too far from their homes (distance determined by ‘the authorities) and all scared to even talk to their neighbours in case they spread The Virus.
They are also scared about ending up in one of the ‘quarantine camps’.
They’re not police, they have nothing to do with Peel’s Principles.
The ‘House of Cards’ has not fallen yet – PCR testing is to stay forever to make the mates of the ministers rich, with the ministers getting their backhanders, an endless source of income – this fountain of wealth will never be stopped now.
And they are going to jab all of the children too, as there’s more money to be made out of that.
If anyone still thinks this is about public health, they are deluded. Yet the Government gets away with it time and time again as they know there is no serious opposition. And the wealthier they get the more bodyguards they can afford.
They’ll widen it like other countries e.g. Israel and France.. to include cafes.. then shops.. then work.. it doesn’t stop at 2 jabs either was we know..
For people with families abroad, staying in Britain forever is not really an option. Quarantines and isolations have actually proved unnecessary, but I doubt if the government will admit it.
My passport expired in March, I’d rather spend the £90 on a life-sized De Pfeffle punching bag than renew it at this point

I visited the Old warden Aerodrome today on my Ducati, home of the Shuttleworth collection of classic aicraft.

Again I am sorry to say you just need to look across the channel to see the restrictions imposed on non-vaxed allowed to cross borders from France. Unless the destination is ‘green’ and you are unvaxed you will be refused access to leave without a ‘good reason’ which does not include travel for pleasure. You are a prisoner. The difference between France and the UK is that as a member of the EU everywhere in the EU is green, so you can work out the rest. However if the UK did the same, that would not be true, and non-vaxed would become virtual and real prisoners within the state.

However, you will not be allowed in pubs or restaurants in ROI if you didn’t have the therapy. So yes, I feel locked in.

I have not found a paper which shows that using an MRNA vaccine as a top up has been subject to clinical trial in all ages. The publications have shown that double vaccination does not equate with either total protection form infection or transmission but the Israel study shows previos infection give a better protection.
We have the absurd situation where a better protected individual who has had Covid19 will require a vaccine from which he/she may die to watch football. Heck of a ticket price?
