NSW to Record Patients as Dying “With” Instead of “From” Covid
New South Wales (NSW) health officials have admitted that not all of the state’s ‘Covid deaths’ have actually been caused by Covid and say they will start recording patients as dying “with” instead of “from” the virus. Better late than never, I suppose. The Mail Australia has the story.
[NSW Health’s] Dr. Jeremy McAnulty made the admission during Sunday’s Covid briefing as the state recorded 1,218 new cases of coronavirus. …
Dr. McAnulty said the change in language was because it was “very difficult to know” whether someone with Covid died from the virus, or another health complication.
“We know when elderly people die, they can have a range of comorbidities, and also, being old increases your risk of death,” he said.
“Covid may often play a role in the death, but it may not. Sometimes, some of our cases who have sadly died appear to have recovered from Covid, and then they have died of something [else].
“We report people who have died ‘with’ Covid, unless there is a very clear alternative.”
He added that it was difficult for doctors who were looking after patients to know exactly how much the virus contributed to their death. …
Earlier this month, Ady Al-Askar a forklift truck driver from Liverpool collapsed in his shower after contracting Covid from his wife Yasmin who works in aged care.
The 27 year-old was isolating with his wife in their unit in Sydney’s southwest and barely showed any Covid symptoms before his untimely death.
However, heart conditions reportedly run in the Al-Askar family, and his cousin, Khalid Thijeel, told the Mail Australia he believed it was this that cost the man his life, not the virus. …
Paramedics who responded to the emergency reportedly confirmed that Ms Al-Askar suffered heart failure, whereas the hospital and Dr Chant specified that Covid was a contributing factor in his death.
A few weeks later, Osama Suduh from Sydney’s Covid-hit south-west, became the state’s youngest recorded victim of Covid – though he died of meningitis.

The recording ‘with’ is wrong but the real problem is the amount of coverage both ‘with Covid’ and ‘from’ Covid get.
Why not highlight suicides, alcohol related deaths or just plain old fatal accidents everyday?

I wonder how many deceased get tested on their way to the morgue (whatever the cause of death) just to bump up the figures?
That the government deliberately downgraded the COVID pandemic right at the start (so it can be THAT serious) so that autopsies do not have to be performed to definitively find the cause of death means that GPs and doctors generally can be unofficially leaned on/coerced/bribed (though I suspect most will willingly do so because they KNOW it’s good for them and their [mostly left wing] agenda) to put COVID as a cause of death.
The late Harold Shipman would have made use of it, that’s for sure.

Bureaucrats and government employees often justify their existance by deliberately creating work – including by doing a bad job to clean up the mess. As we’ve seen in the media (e.g. Telegraph letters page this past week), their Union PR managers are quick to blame ‘a lack of funding’, ‘the evil Tories’, ‘the system’ (but which ironically they don’t want to change) and anyone who isn’t them – including patients.
I think we should have a little daily “cardio deaths” box running here.

Perhaps NSW can also record patients dying “with” vaxxination from COVID as well as simply just dying too from the terrible jib-jab side effect profiles – we’re following the science guys, lest we forget.

Yes, I don’t see any rush to record deaths with vaccination within 28 days.
In the UK, ours was only reduced from 56 to 28 days because of a (brief) outcry in the (notionally) ‘conservative’ MSM. Why 28 days? I have no idea, but I agree that there should be proper investigations carried out to determine said cause of death. If the workload is too high for autopsies – which it could’ve been during the ‘peaks’, then reasonable assumptions (and stating what they were) should have been made, but not just blindly followed when rates were lower, plus those solely dying OF Covid (or seeming to) should be examined more thoroughly – because there might be an unknown underlying factor. The problem with the pandemic response is that it has been, in view, way over the top, to the detriment of other medical diagnosis and treatement, mental and physical health of the nation and economic health, which obviously makes a HUGE difference over the longer term as well as the short. That’s good in an odd sort of way because I worry that we are supposed to die from the vaccine. Or maybe we’re not supposed to die obviously from the vaccine? Who knows I still hope it’s just incompetence, hubris and greed.

Funny how the world doesn’t record dying with heart disease within 28 days.
IMHO the primary cause of death should be recorded and then co-morbidity. If you’re teetering on the edge the common cold can knock you off.
You have to also wonder to what extent they are doing this is the UK to either ‘justify’ more lockdowns or other authoritarian policies. Documentation can easily be faked or altered (especially if it’s digital only). It’s bad enought that here any death where the person was ‘diagnosed’ with COVID within 28 days of the death as automatically attributed to being due to COVID (when maraculously [and still] the vast majority of people listed dying of COVID have serious co-morbidities and the average age is still about 81-82). To me, its very suspicious that little data is given other than amalgamated data – i.e. not how many otherwise healthy (and that doesn’t include drug takers, smokers or the seriously overweight/obese or obviously unfit) under 60s have die solely of COVID and can be 100% proven not to be of the flu or pnuemonia (a former manager of mine [about 13 years or so ago] had very serious pnuemonia after an RTA and was hospital, and if someone like him had got COVID [say whilst in hospital] and died, it would’ve been recorded as a COVID death.
