And Finally…

In this week’s episode of London Calling, James and I discuss the end of the special relationship, Trump urging his supporters to get vaxxed, Australia’s descent into a police state and the rainbow-coloured police cars.

With all due respect chaps, podcasts are a pile of rancid crapola!

Transcripts take minutes to read, podcasts take forever to listen to.

Ain’t nobody got time for that! (Well, those that do need to get a life).

Perhaps I need to gedda life, don’t know, but I listen to podcasts because I have little time. I work 50+ hours a week, rarely watch TV, and listen to podcasts while I’m doing routine tasks, eg the key difference between a podcast and videos (for which I certainly don’t usually have time and would rather have a transcript) is that with a podcast I can be doing something else at the same time. I’ve enjoyed the Delingpole and Young podcasts for many months now, and will feel their loss very much! Hoping that’s not being referred to by the end of the ‘special relationship’…

OK, fair point. I suppose what I really object to is being forced to listen to something that takes forever to unfold, rather than being given the option to skim it in a couple of minutes for key points.

(I also rarely watch TV).

Agreed -it would be useful to have a transcript

Amusing to hear Toby using the term “red pilled”, considering the ideological thoughtpolicing clip on ITV, shared yesterday, warning of how such language is a warning sign for potential dissident badthink – indicating a potential member of the newly terrorist “incel” community, probably racist and white supremacist as well:

there are lots of bits of language that might be red flags – referring to people as “normies” or as “triggered” – normies is the word incels use for people outside their community. “Triggered”, “based”, “cucked”, describing being “red pilled” or “black pilled”….”

Most likely should be forcibly reeducated, for the greater good.

In this terrifyingly ignorant op-ed by [Guardian]
journo [jonathan liew]
, people opting out of the vaccine are labelled:

• “a sort of fringe lunatic”
• “political extremist”
• “radicalised.”

Isn’t this language usually reserved for terrorists?

Shameful.”

Remember when the people the left worshipped as “brave” and as “heroes” were ones who actually stood up against elites and their dogmas, and faced actual threats of repression for their statements?

Nowadays, the left calls people expressing safe, ideologically conformist positions “brave”, and gives them awards and showers them with praise, while vilifying and demonising actual rebels against conformity and obedience to elite authority.

The best demonstration of the long triumph of the left, and its transformation into the dominant ideological force. That’s not a stable position, obviously, so the question is where we go from here. The options are not attractive, likely being proceeding further down the road of cultural revolution (forced “reeducation”), resistance, civil war, defensive reactionary tyranny (eg Franco).

Didn’t the Guardian have some actual terrorists working for them a few years back?

And surely the government aren’t discriminating against a minority of 10% (ish)?
