Vaccination of 12 Year-Old Australians Likely to Be Given Go-Ahead Within Days
The vaccination of children as young as 12 is likely to be approved by Australian health authorities on Friday despite ongoing debates worldwide on the safety of extending national vaccine roll-outs to children. The approach being considered in England is currently more cautious, with only clinically vulnerable children and those living with vulnerable adults likely to be offered the vaccine – though it is expected that the offer could be extended to all children by the end of the year. The Therapeutic Goods Administration, which oversees Australia’s medicines and vaccinations, will announce the approval on Friday, the [Australian] Telegraph reported.
For children with underlying health conditions which can make coronavirus more serious, approval to get the vaccine is set to be fast-tracked with it offered to those eligible within days, senior sources say.
Health Minister Greg Hunt said the the new vaccination program would aim to “protect children” and was an “important and welcome additional step”.
“Significantly we planned for this outcome and acquired the vaccines in the event of eligibility,” he said.
The official approval through the ATAGI should take around four weeks, amid a spate of outbreaks within schools in Victoria.
Several New South Wales schools have also been affected during Sydney’s recent outbreak, including South Coogee Public School in the city’s east where at least four children tested positive.
The outbreak forced 555 primary school students into two weeks of isolation after they were deemed close contacts.

These types of people are driving policy. Government desires to get voted back in, and ill-informed people like this are going to vote for them. They don’t seem to be capable of working out herd immunity thresholds for themselves, because if they did they’d realise that with the current variants and vaccines the herd immunity threshold is over 100%, ie, impossible to achieve. (it is easy to compute — HIt=(1-(1/R0))/e, where e is the efficiency of the vaccine at protecting against infection and transmission — evidence from Israel suggests that this is now about 30%). They don’t seem to grasp the basics of evolutionary microbiology, in that in vaccinating so many they’ve created enormous selective pressure for the virus to evolve vaccine escape. I find this extraordinary, given that everyone in the world has heard of Darwin and can parrot out ‘survival of the fittest’. They don’t seem to understand that a new medicine/treatment that was invented barely 12 months ago won’t have any data on medium- and long-term risks, no matter how confidence the scientists promoting it might be (who are dependent on saying it it safe for their future wealth). I agree with all you wrote, technically. Obviously we can’t know the extent of ADE & I cling to the notion that, as the ‘vaccines’ don’t work properly, perhaps they’ll be too crap even to cause ADE!
The cases stats are not trustworthy so we should monitor all causes mortality

What baffles me is how Australian parents are happy with this decision?
Allowing the government to inject their children with a trial vaccine with known serious side-effects and even deaths because of a virus with a virtually 0% fatality rate for children of this age.

I have been puzzled how the two countries of Australia and New Zealand, which had, to paraphrase, a robust attitude to much of life, especially authority, have changed so much. I then saw, a propos of their desert island approach, that a very substantial percentage (>30) of Australians are “first generation”. The Australians now are markedly different to those that fought in two wars. They are now as weedy a bunch as we are now in Britain.
Australia and New Zealand appear to be 2 of the testing grounds worldwide for the great reset. Compared with 2019, how many more fascist dictatorships do we now have? I’ve lost count.

Having lived half my life in Australia until a few years back I can say the tall poppy syndrome still rules – and anyone who sticks their head up either leaves or gets knocked down – albeit there are a lot of disillusioned and fighting Aussies who loathe this entire response and will refuse experimental jabs – they are working behind the scenes but def a small minority which is one reason I left – an awful culture that is and always will be convicts and corrupt rulers
I suppose there is a case to be made for ‘vaccinating’ the clinically vulnerable cohort of children as their early deaths will remove a lifetime burden of care from national healthcare organisations – and free up more cash to bung to their greedy mates.
