Brits Told To “Keep Life Moving” by Wearing Face Masks in New Government Scare Campaign

It’s as if ‘Freedom Day’ never happened. A new Government ad campaign tells Brits to carry on wearing face masks and to use the NHS Covid app so as to “keep life moving”. One poster warns that “Covid is still with us” and that you can still pass on the virus “even if you’ve been vaccinated”: “[So] let’s wear face coverings in crowded places to protect others.” The Evening Standard has the story.

An official information campaign, which will hit airwaves, newspapers and other media from Thursday, will see the Government replace its “hands, face, space, fresh air” slogan with its new catchphrase: “Keep life moving.”

A video fronted by TV doctor Dr Amir Khan will also recommend people continue to follow social distancing guidance, as the film shows a young man stepping off a pavement to allow an older neighbour to pass.

The advice comes despite Monday being trumpeted as England’s ‘Freedom Day’, with Prime Minister Boris Johnson removing almost all legal restrictions, including social distancing guidelines.

Pressure has also been placed on young people to get a vaccine, as Health Secretary Sajid Javid reiterates the Prime Minister’s plan to make full vaccination a “condition of entry to nightclubs” by the autumn.

The campaign will warn, however, that being doubled jabbed does not entirely protect you from being infected with coronavirus, or from being told to self-isolate.

The campaign instructs people to stick with the behaviour that has become “second nature” over the past year of lockdowns. This advice appears to have been pulled directly out of Susan Michie’s rule book. In June, the top Government adviser and long-time member of the Communist Party of Britain said measures adopted during the pandemic should become part of our “normal” routine behaviour, just as wearing car seat belts has become commonplace. The Evening Standard continues:

The recommendations include using quick-result lateral flow tests twice a week and booking a PCR test if there is any sign of even mild coronavirus symptoms.

People will be encouraged to keep washing their hands regularly, to check in to pubs, bars and restaurants using the Covid app, and to wear face masks in crowded places where “distancing is not possible”, such as public transport or small shops.

It will also place renewed emphasis on the importance of ventilation in fighting infection during social gatherings, while vaccine take-up will also be pushed.

Worth reading in full.

Stop Press: “Mask-wearers, in my experience, need no encouragement,” says Mail on Sunday columnist Peter Hitchens. “So what’s the aim?”

No I am rather afraid this is the start of something, covid apps, smart meters in your house, they will soon have road pricing via satellite/mobile gizmos in your car, everything interactive everything about you under survelillance and control. Travel limited in the interests of the climate, food purchases limited to healthy eating via controls on your payment card, ‘they call it living baby someone’s lying’.

You won’t be able to buy food, you’ll be supplied with prepared and medicated ready meals to reheat in your green electric oven, when the smart meter says you can use it, and you’d better not disobey or your electronic currency account will be shut down.

I’m not being flippant.

Something I thought of: time was when diesel engines were large and only in trucks and buses. They were not only economical but diesel was cheap.

When diesels got small enough to use in cars they put the price of diesel up so although they were more fuel efficient they cost about the same to run as a petrol car.

Mark my words, when there are “enough” electric cars on the roads they will double the price of electricity. For everything.

It is an interesting fulfilment of the prediction that ‘freedom day’ would be delayed, and then amount to nothing other than piss and wind. The only change has been the removal of certain pseudo- legal constraints, to be replaced by an up-scaling of psy-op deceits.

It is clear that the analysis which said political control would be too good to give up was 100% correct.

The way in which the snake-oil has moved from saviour to a pretty useless adornment has been fascinating to watch – a key example of government recommendations being devoid of any credibility.

First trip on the train today, and first trip to a restaurant last night, since the 19th. Masks about 50-50 on the train, fewer diehards doing the mask theatre in restaurant.

Some hope. I think the more people see others without one, the more they will leave their own off, leaving a hard core of the frightened and virtue signallers. Removing the pseudo legal constraint has made a difference.

Maybe the psy-ops miscalculated this one. Maybe I am just dreaming.

I don’t know, Julian. Your train observation is definitely a positive one, and I haven’t had much opportunity to observe since the weekend – tho’ there was a new PHE notice on the door of the pharmacy emphasising the continued use of masks in all health settings (one of the most blatant contravention of basic medical ethics).

I agree about the social influence, and that reaching a tipping point is crucial. But I reckon this new campaign underlines that the sociopaths will be winding things up.

My wife went to our local Sainsbury’s yesterday (Thursday) and she said all the other customers (that she saw) were still wearing face nappies. Encouragingly, quite a lot of staff were bear-faced – including 3 people on the check-out tills.

I went into a local gift shop yesterday in our village (Stoke Gabriel, Devon) and the owner asked me to put on a mask. I declined and said I’d stand outside if she wanted me to. She agreed to that. I wanted to buy a birthday card but I couldn’t see her display from the doorway. So, she picked handfuls at a time and brought them to me, putting the two of us much closer to one another than we otherwise would have been had she allowed me in her shop. But, she felt ‘protected’ and, according to her, continued mask wearing is what her customers want. Needless to say, not this customer! it was a complete farce.

Yes, this is definitely the case.

A certain number of people will have become totally dependent on masks though, and would find it extremely difficult to give them up (perhaps never), even if the government were to say that there is categorically no benefit in wearing a mask.

Since the 19th, I have paid for petrol, visited Lidl and a large Tesco with my wife couple of times, and we have not been given a second look for not wearing a mask. I have noticed non-masked employees as well. Starting to see some more shoppers with naked faces. It is so good. I just hope this can gain some traction.
Visiting a pharmacy, I asked if a prescription was ready, and while querying the computer, the assistant (quietly and very politely) said “Do you have a mask with you, or just [I think it was ‘or just’] …”, to which I simply responded “No”. She was perfectly fine with that, and was very polite throughout.

I’m seeing the plastic barriers coming down (in Sainsburys and in Pret), which is really encouraging. I hope all other places follow in removing them! In Sainsburys there was a sign saying mask wearing is a personal choice but please wear one to protect others, however, this sign was facing you as you came out of the supermarket, not as you went in… I wonder if this was deliberate by a rebellious member of staff?

I work at a college (educational institution that teaches 16-18 year olds and a few 19 year olds), although in a back-office IT role where I don’t interact with students, so I don’t see them in the classroom. The college dropped its one-way system and its requirement to wear masks in corridors and communal areas, I can’t remember exactly when but probably at least 2 months ago. Since then, few of the students I have seen walking around the campus (outdoors, in corridors or in the refectory when I go to buy a drink most mornings) have worn masks: definitely less than 10%, probably less than 5%. They don’t appear to care much for social distancing either; for example I saw (maybe 2 or 3 weeks ago) a group of about 20 students sitting around a big table in the refectory, close together and none wearing masks.

The college’s change in policy was explicitly communicated to students and staff, so that might have helped in this case. I suspect the disruption to the students’ education might have made them tired of allegedly-to-fight-Covid restrictions in general.

I’m seeing lots of masks in supermarkets in Plymouth, but many fewer in restaurants and pubs. Me- I’m not even carrying one. At 74, vaccinated and 7 months out from a major lifesaving op, I need to set a positive example to the rabbits. Life goes on, folks and some people die. From all sorts of things like despair, business failure, bankruptcy, stress., strokes, cancer, as well as “the virus”. Haven’t they noticed that?

As soon as the 1st lockdown was announced last March I said to my wife that it was all well and good, 3 weeks to flatten the curve, saving lives etc., but that we would never get all these freedoms back because it never happens- once politicians take power they never relinquish it. It has never happened. She rolled her eyes and a lot of family members were very insulting. Well, recently my wife has admitted that I was right- although everyone else, (absolutely everyone), in our close family is still on board with it all. ‘We’ll have to lockdown again- it ‘s got to happen to stop it killing everyone’, is gaining traction at the moment. So in 18 short months we now fully accept and indeed demand that we are locked away every time a certain arbitrary number of ‘cases’ is reached. What a wretched bunch we are and frankly we deserve all that we get.

annepassman

This attitude causes me more stress and trauma than the thought nof the virus. I’m 74,vaccinated, live in a village, loads of fresh air,etc and have been against lockdowns since last May, totally against the rest of my family. and have also said that we will never get all our freedoms back, because the government and Sage are addicted to the power they have over us, to tell us hoe to live, what to do/not to do etc. Problem is, how to stop this rabbit like mentality. Who with any power and authority has the guts to stand up and tell the cowerers to grow a spine and get back to normal life (that is, life before March 23rd 2020)? Any ideas?

annepassman

Absolutely. Sage has its hooks into power and will not relinquish that power until or unless it is forcibly removed. That will not happen under Johnson who has become a doom monger, cautious to an extreme and terrified of giving “the people” control over their own lives. So prepare for lockdowns in winter, restrictions etc. They have a taste for tyranny and without a concerted opposition, which we don’t have now, will just carry on. Project Fear wilol go on being alive and well unless “the people” collectively refuse.

There is no doubt about anything the government instructs or recommends. All of its decisions about Covid have little or no basis in fact or science. The Covid event is a well telegraphed psy-op, which is designed to encourage or coerce normally sensible people into allowing themselves, to be injected with an intentionally highly toxic biological agent. The overall aim is massive depopulation and once this scenario is taken into account everything will make sense, though not in a pleasant way. We are in a war situation and the enemy is not a virus.

In the week beginning 10th July 2020, there were 406 death registrations where COVID-19 appeared on the death certificate. In the week beginning 9th July 2021, there were 213 deaths with COVID-19 on the death certificate, about half as many.
In July 2020 nobody had been vaccinated, now almost 90% have had at least one dose.
In April last year we were told that social distancing and lockdowns was necessary to give time for most of the population could be vaccinated and so deaths prevented. Then we would be able to return to normal.
Turns out we were mislead.

The 7 day rolling average of deaths within 28 days of a positive test is still about 55 a day or about 400 a week – so they’re not missing out many. There are usually about 1500 deaths each day in the uk. COVID deaths are a very small proportion of all deaths at the moment – less than 0.05%

Just an observation from my small part of the world – I would say that 95% of people where I live are not wearing masks at all now with a few exceptions dotted here and there but just by looking at them you could tell they were never going to give up their masks anyway – but by far the most devoted to this mask wearing ritual I would have to say are the local chinese – in fact even with mask wearing rules relaxed I’ve still yet to see a chinese person without a mask even their children are wearing masks – I don’t know why this section of society seem so compliant ? Maybe its there cultural background or perhaps they’re just reliving the old days under communism 😉 lol – but whatever it is they are certainly the most enthusiastic mask wearers I have witnessed ever. I have nothing against them wearing masks – its their choice – a free country (for now) so they can wear what they like – they can wear hard hats too for all I care – but I do find it facinating that this particular ethnic group continues to wear masks… Read more »

Yes, Chinese, Indians and South East Asians have worn masks for ages, but to counteract air pollution, not for this virus. So since that condition doesn’t apple here, our air isn’t as bad as that, we don’t need masks, most of which in any case are useless against covid – or so we are told. I like your “lessening of tyranny Day” – totally corect. But they are now trying the psychofear tactic and the “social conscience” argument.

While I’m obviously frustrated by the continuing nonsense from the government, I think the picture on the ground is getting more interesting, at least where I live, in Bournemouth. I had pretty much avoided shops, etc. since the mask mandate came in last year. Basically, I find masks triggering and struggled to control myself when I came in contact with the masked. But I decided that “Slight Lessening of Tyranny Day” would give me a chance to test the waters again. First, my local high street, which is a hotbed of outdoor masking. I went in and out of quite a few shops and cafes and saw that at least half the customers were mask-free. Before I would only see one or two other unmasked customers. And not a single person scanned a QR code within my sight. Had tea at a local cafe where the guy behind the counter slipped his mask on or off, depending on the mask status of the customers coming in. Frankly, my spirits rose quite a bit. This was the first time I had been in a cafe since early February of 2020. Two days later I went to town centre and went in… Read more »

My daughter went to asda today, unmasked, she smiled at a lady who said how lovely it was to see a smile so my daughter asked if she could see hers, the lady removed her mask and said how much she had been longing to do so, my daughter offered her a hug and she replied in a whisper ‘I haven’t been vaxxed”, “great” replied my daughter “neither have I”. Two random people hugging in Asda, such a little thing and such a huge step forward.

Don’t you know you must never talk to anyone. Not even your neighbour. These are not the times to indulge in human behaviour. An insane and sexually frustrated Australian woman told me that.

I was on a small high street yesterday waiting for a friend to come out of a shop – it was a lovely sunny day and practically nobody was wearing a mask not even in the shops – anyway I suddenly saw this man walking towards me with a baseball cap on and one of those expensive black masks with the little white filter thing on the side – so I decided to make the effort to look as though I was really enjoying the sunny day – I took a deep breath, looked up at the sun and put on a smile as though I was enjoying the sunshine on my face as he was walking towards me – I wanted him to know what he was missing – then out of the corner of my eye I just caught him suddenly whip his mask off as if to say ‘ yeh, you’re right mate, sod the bloody masks ‘ – as he walked past he said morning – I said morning back.

No need to apologise – this is one of the few places that you can express yourself without vitriol being poured on you. A lot of people, especially young sadly, still wear masks round here but we are VERY woke PC here, and when they look at me I just smile sort of Mona Lisa like and stare back at them until they look away, as if to say, ‘Yes, I’m mask-less and I really don’t care what you think’. I refuse to be made to feel guilty about this. My wife is still a little unsure and was thinking of putting a mask on in the garden centre because lots of others had done so, but I implored her to be bold- we absolutely have to do this!.

It is your duty now, if you are fit and healthy, to ignore all this bollox and get on with your life. Just what can Johnson and co., do about that?

Went to a funeral on Tuesday. Every bench had a “covid is rife in Plymouth, please wear a mask” sign. Did I comply? No,of course not. Don’t tell me how to behave.

Bulgaria. It’s not perfect there but better.

I was in Bulgaria shortly after the fall of the Berlin Wall and fell in love with it. Not sure I ever imagined, back then, that I’d be fleeing to the other side of the old iron curtain in order to escape a communist dictatorship but you know, we live in crazy times.

It is so bad, I fear I might have to as well – but is there anywhere to go which rejects all these restrictions (especially vaccination passports)? I’m scratching my head!

Should anyone ever comment as to why you are not joining in with the moronic muzzling behavior, be sure to always go on the offensive and leave them shocked and embarrassed. This is the only cure for stupid.

See attached pic for masks, straightforward factual diagram based on the Telegraph article. This is down to Boris. He always believed in lockdown and was only ever forced into limited release from restrictions, against what he wanted. We will never get any leadership and will never be free of any of this until he is gone. The longer he stays the more the lockdown zealots increase their influence. I do have sympathy with the poor thing: he’s clearly completely out of his depth and has absolutely no idea what he is doing; probably he never got over his own Covid experience. The truth should be championed: hospitalisations and deaths ARE low and cases are not yet even near the 100 000 predicted. And what does Boris do? More of the wicked scare tactics and proposals for fascist style restrictions like vaccine passports. Don’t be fooled into thinking this is just a tactic and they will go away. Oh no. He hasn’t told colleagues to say they “might not” be needed in shops for nothing: he means they will. And the requirement for the Tory conference is his clear way of stating: agree with me or you’re out. Just as he… Read more »

“Keep Life Moving” – are they having a bubble bath??? Well of course they are! Either that or they’re getting effing desperate that their grip is loosening and the fear mongering is having far less effect on people, even on the coronaphobes – they know that the evidence isn’t stacking up, even if they refuse to see it. The crApp has been pinging those that are stupid enough to download it, so now we have a “reduced workforce” and….wait for it…the oh, so inevitable FOOD SHORTAGES (where the MSM tell people not to panic buy!) That didn’t take long. Their desperate despotism is farcical now, they’re had more flip flops than a beach shop, Don’t get me started on the sudden U turn on passports – did you know that the House of Commons will be exempt from having to show passports? Rules for thee but not for me…I heard yesterday that all this tyrannical crap was supposed to roll out gradually (and insidiously) over 10 years. Perhaps they feel like they’re running out of time!

For some reason the fools in Sage and Government think that masks will help but in reality they are doing the opposite. Not a muzzle in sight on the coast today and overheard a conversation about using an exemption and one said, I didnt know you could do that! After 18 months! They know the whole charade collapses when the sign of compliance goes

They don’t think masks will help. It’s just about control. And sadly they are not fools, just evil.

I don’t know about anywhere else but around here (South Shropshire/North Worcestershire/West Midlands), the maskateers are around 95% with probably 30% outside in 28° heat so a long way to go yet.
But we will be victorious.

To my mind the key item in this despicable advert is ‘app’, I think this is now all looking like a drive to a digitally controlled soulless future, an app for your health and your continuing need for the vaccines big brother says you should have, an app for your car to bring in road pricing and limitations on travel, an app for your smart meter to ensure your house is running eco friendly. As for an app to confirm that your life is soulful, human and joyful? forget it.

Same story with ‘smart’ meters as with all this- feeling like a maverick going against ‘them’ with everyone else rushing to get one so they can sit and look at a read out of how much energy they’re using and go ‘ooh! clever!’. I learned years ago that they were TWO way devices and you could be disconnected without the inconvenience of having to contact you and visit your property and alter your tariffs. I get bombarded with things like ‘we’re in your area fitting them so let us know when we can come and fit your FREE smart meter!’. They are worded in a way that can make it seem obligatory to someone like my 91 year old mother in law, who was on the verge of booking an installation until I asked her if she was planning on changing anything she did to save money. No was the answer, so what’s the bleedin’ point then? She actually thought it would save her money simply by being there.
