Around One in Seven Older British Teenagers Hesitant Over Getting Covid Vaccine, According to New Research
The latest data from the Office for National Statistics (ONS) on Covid vaccine hesitancy shows that the hesitancy rate in adults has dropped from nine per cent in February to just four per cent in June. Around one in seven older teenagers, whose views on the vaccine have been studied by the ONS for the first time, have also been found to be sceptical of Covid vaccination.
The Evening Standard has more.
Some 14% of 16-17 year-olds reported vaccine hesitancy when surveyed by the ONS between May and June.
The U.K.’s vaccination programme is currently only open to adults aged 18 and over, and some children in exceptional circumstances, with experts divided on whether children should be jabbed.
The ONS also found that nine per cent of 18-21 year-olds and 10% of 22-25 year-olds reported hesitancy.
Vaccine hesitancy is defined as people who have refused a vaccine, say they would be unlikely to get a vaccine when offered, and those who responded “neither likely nor unlikely”, “don’t know” or “prefer not to say” when asked.
The survey was carried out between May 26th and June 20th and covered 16,180 participants aged 16 and over.
Across all people surveyed, the ONS found the vast majority (96%) reported positive sentiment towards a Covid vaccine, while four per cent reported vaccine hesitancy.
There continue to be sharp differences in rates of hesitancy among different ethnic and religious groups, however.
Some 18% of black or black British adults reported vaccine hesitancy, compared with 11% for adults of mixed background, four per cent for white adults and three per cent for Asian or Asian British adults.
Around one in seven adults (15%) identifying as Muslim showed hesitancy, compared with nine per cent of people identifying as Hindu and three per cent of the Christian group.
Adults in the most deprived parts of England were more likely to report hesitancy than those living in the least deprived areas (eight per cent and three per cent respectively).
If it was just down to parents, most children would “definitely” or “probably” be vaccinated against Covid when offered, according to other research by the ONS.

“Vaccine hesitant”.
I HATE this expression and its implication that eventually everyone will overcome their hesitancy. It has Neuro Linguistic Programming and Nudge Unit and Behavioural Scientists written all over it
I am not “vaccine hesitant”.
I am “no vaccine decisive“.
Hesitant: /ˈhɛzɪt(ə)nt/ adjective; tentative, unsure, or slow in acting or speaking.
Nope.
Another word being redefined.
I totally agree.
I am not hesitant. I am adamant.
“You’ve not nothing to be scared of”
“What’s the point of robbery when nothing is worth taking?”
Me too.
realistically some of these are not adamant, the figure includes those who prefer not to say for a start, what I want to know is how many million are going to refuse the poison and see their rights reduced (and for how long).
I’m “vaccine resistant” .
Really really patronising, isn’t it? As if ‘we know that, obviously you’re going to be doing this eventually, but for some reason you’re not sure right now. You just need some reassurance?’
… or “re-education”
“Vaccine hesitant” is the term coined by the Globalists. – never use it

The other word is wrong too. It’s not a vaccine.
Spot on. My understanding is that they are pretty close to the bone calling it so, probably on the basis that it sells better, and allows them to wheedle round the normal protocol for evaluating novel drugs. Emergency Use Authorisation for a ‘vaccine’ is better for the cash flow. In a sane world, a new name for it might be more honest. Mind you, I seem to remember that a certain firm called a product “Heroin”; and look what happened to that.
I was no anti-vaxxer.
But I certainly have become more vaccine critical and hesitant and am on the threshold of becoming one, solely due to governments and doctors handling of the Covid treatments and ‘vaccines’ and because I have researched this topic more thoroughly for the first time ever.
As for the Covid gene therapies: I am an adamant refuser of them: NFW!
As for a Covid vaccine (Valneva the first one that might qualify AND make sense): until I am in a high risk group, aka over 80, only if I can’t withstand the coercion anymore, and/or if a critical expert like Yeadon, Bhakdi, Mercola or Hockertz told me that they are safe AND that they make sense for me.
Hope that helps the 77th.
I was vaccine sceptical and I think I still am. I can see a limited number of uses for vaccines for a small number of particularly devastating diseases. But I do believe that their increased and uncritical use is actually harming health, particularly in children. I strongly oppose the totalitarian vaccine ideology that looks to replace our natural immunity with hundreds of vaccines that the state will coerce us into receiving. The Vaccine Centre (based at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, but including many Imperial Collegers among them) spell out the ideology: Immunisation is the single most powerful medical tool for improving health. The introduction of WHO’s Expanded Programme on Immunisation in 1974 has already prevented tens of millions of unnecessary childhood deaths. Modern immunisation programmes combine the products of sophisticated bioengineering with complex epidemiological surveillance and modelling to protect children and adults. Animal vaccines help increase farming efficiency and secure our food supply. However, many significant diseases still have no effective vaccine to prevent them, and many life-saving vaccines unfortunately do not reach everyone who needs them. Our vision is a world in which all major infectious diseases and their sequelae are controlled by vaccination and… Read more »
Or…
A world in which major vaccines and ‘their sequelae’ are controlled by minor vaccines (aka boosters) unto the crack of doom – which won’t be too far down the turnpike.
What The London School of Lilt with the Totally Tropical Taste of Madness actually means (funded by?)
I used to be exactly the same way. Before the scamdemic I used to think that people who didn’t want their children to get their MMR or their Polio vaccine were like the people who didn’t think the moon landing was real.
But seeing just how evil and corrupt Big Pharma is, trying to push this experimental jab on people when it’s only spent a year in testing, has numerous side effects and more deaths associated with it than any other vaccine administered in the last twenty years combined, and seeing how they try to demonise anyone who displays even a modicum of common sense as ‘anti-vaxxers’, I’ve really begun to re-evaluate my position
For me it’s the homicidal denial (and efficacy censorship) of cheap and cheerful drugs. Drugs that even the Chief Medical Officers of the world might reasonably be expected to know about.
(Putting a man in a jocular headlock in a park is better than putting the whole nation in a maniacal pointless headlock for over a year)
Must look up Hockertz. Ta!
Only 4% “vaccine hesitancy” across all people surveyed? Either the sample was utterly biased, or the ONS are lying through their teeth. A cursory look at the numbers of under 70s not getting vaccinated tells you that the percentage refusing is much higher.
Almost everyone among friends, family and work colleagues has been jabbed
But obviously that’s a small sample size
Sadly the same with my family, friends and acquaintances.
same here. in fact they are posting selfies is so bad with my lot
They must lead incredibly sad lives
Yes, people are just trusting what they are told. But a significant number are alarmed and perturbed by the side effects they are experiencing.
In Wales, approx 10% of people in their 50s are refusing the so-called vaccine, 16.5% of people in their 40s, 25.6% of people in their 30s. The numbers refusing increase for second injections.
The Welsh might become the largest people in GB then….
I can’t imagine it’s too different in the other uk nations. Does anyone have the vaccination rates to hand?
“Around One in Seven Older British Teenagers Considering Refusing Covid Injection, According to New Research”
Fixed your headline.
“We want you to believe that only …. ” – there, now it is corrected properly!
What’s with this uncritical use of their sneaky word “hesitancy”, chaps? Unimpressed.
Yes, I am not hesitant I am adamant!! When will they leave us alone? 85% of over 18% have had their vax isn’t that enough for them.
probably not. if people see we unvaccinated aren’t dropping dead in the streets then they may start to think for themselves and not bother with the regular boosters that are about to be thrust upon them.
That would be devastating for the poor pharma companies’ profits.
Injecting teenagers with an experimental drug (i.e. only licensed to be used in an emergency and with no long-term test history) is evil, imoral and unethical and should be illegal.
86% of those teenagers wanting it regardless does mean what then?!?
Maybe that we are reverting backwards again, from human to ape, but without the interim stages.
I haven’t noticed any apes queueing for snake oil.
The regression is from barely human to full zombie..
They are not being told the whole truth. The Gov are not in court (yet), but are selling a political unicorn, which they are quite good at.
Yes, there appears to be significant biases in these surveys. There is substantially more hesitancy than this. I note that they have rather small sample sizes for younger age groups and rather large ones for older age groups. This is likely — unless you reweight properly — going to skew estimates. Our work at the Vaccine Confidence Project indicates that “hesitants” (I also dislike this word) are probably about 10-15% of those yet to be vaccinated, with significantly higher hesitancy among Black/poorer/younger/Polish communities.
Vaccine passports, incidentally, will likely _lower_ inclination to vaccinate in these groups, not increase them. This is worrying as these groups tend to reside in epidemic “high-risk” settings. Mandating / coercion often make things worse for “hesitant” groups.
I’ve unfortunately tried — and quite possibly failed — to communicate this properly to those in power. Behavioural Insights are a one-track mind when it comes to using psychological tools to get the outcome they want. In conversations with them they seem to have quite a bit of disregard for potential fallout from their policies.

https://www.nationalhealthexecutive.com/articles/nhs-action-plan-data-sharp-rise-vaccine-uptake
(Note also that I also think coopting people to vaccinate where there isn’t a clear risk/benefit tradeoff will come back to bite us)
The surveys are just more propaganda.
yes. I’m not hesitant either. I just don’t see the point in having the vaccine. Its a cold for god’s sake. i don’t mind having a cold. why on earth a teenager would is beyond me
99.9% of people are confused by statistics and 100% of those who believe them are idiots. I can say with 110% certainty that I’m going to the pub and will not be wearing a mask
It’s precisely these sorts of surveys which keep turning up preposterous results, such as 60% of masked sheep want to be kept in their folds.
When the answers which include “Don’t know” and “Prefer not to say” (otherwise known as “p*ss off and mind your own business”) are then put down as “Vaccine hesitancy”, then results are inevitably skewed. The only valid answers are “Yes”, “No” and, to squeeze a point “Maybe”; the last being the “neither likely etc.”. The hesitancy is not in taking the jollop or no, but in answering the question(s).
If the Government, weak and incapable as it is of making decisions itself and with a tin ear for the voices of the public, is using rubbish like this to determine its actions, then it’s not a “government”. The pollsters of the ONS and other organisations are right up there in the “Villain” stakes, along with SAGE et al.
The government is not “weak and incapable” but determined and forceful. They know what they want to achieve (submission on our part and total control on theirs) and are using every coercive measure to get there, including broadcasting skewed surveys. Shame on this site for representing these bogus polls as legitimate.
Vaccine intelligence (my preferred reverse term) is obviously quite low – but the First Law of Stupidity is, of course, that we tend to underestimate the number of stupid people.
One in seven is not enough. In any case, most of these teenage hesitants, will be bullied or bribed into taking one of the terminator shots and will end up, not too far down the road as dead meat, rather like their brain-dead parents.
In the interest of ‘The Science’ I have refused the vaccine, never worn a mask, never isolated. Still here
Bloody selfish, just like me. My aged mother has called me “pig headed” and “stupid”, but I think I am a bit too old to be chastised. I think she has given up now – I am just pig headed and intelligent, and read a lot of medical articles.
I think, if it made sense it would be easier to swallow but it doesnt. Like standing a mtr away, or 2 mtrs away, sitting down before removing the muzzle etc etc, its all a joke.
Interesting. So that’s a 100% efficacy rate. Powerful evidence, I would say – but I may be unconsciously demonstrating confirmation bias. 🙂
Likewise, and I’ll add to that, no testing either.

In this upside down clown world, the youth get smarter as they get younger.
Toddlers wisely declining the jab in their droves.
And the elderly thinking they can live forever if only they can get this jab. My uncle, at 96 had both. He sadly died last week
I’m sorry to hear that.
There are quite a few of my mum’s friends who either died or suffered a stroke earlier this year when the first round of vulnerables got jabbed. One of them was basically forced to do it against her preferences by her eager children. Now she is virtually crippled by a series of severe strokes. She was extremely healthy beforehand.
That’s what comes of pandering to your no nothing children.
Its becoming a worrying trend. They need to start recording who dies within 28 days as they do with the covid test, plus a lot of people still don’t know about the yellow cards.
As you are probably aware this data has been requested in Parliament on at least two occasions I am aware of (one in a written ministerial question).
To date I am not aware of the promised answers having been forthcoming, but if they have I would certainly appreciate a link.
Didnt know that, it really is info they need to have
In March and I’m not aware of any response, either.
https://www.chrischope.com/news/hancock-panics-when-mps-ask-how-many-die-after-vaccination
My elderly mum had health issues but could walk for miles before having her first injection. Now, she can only walk yards.
Severe flare up of osteo arthritis? I’m hearing quite a few reports of this – flare ups of rheumatoid arthritis are already being documented, but OA too. Probably v v few being yellow carded.
Actually heart issues. It was the sudden deterioration that was shocking and unexpected. Could be coincidence but I’m very wary of coincidences these days.
Well he wouldn’t have lasted much longer, though of course the terminator shot could well have speeded things along, as it’s meant to do.
Certainly got me thinking about the need for the jabs at his age, but his immediate family have decided they don’t want to push for a post mortem after being told it was probably a heart attack.
Probably was – caused by a surfeit of spike proteins.
Sympathies . . . but a good age to go, the alternative can be horrendous.
96 is a good innings! I don’t think Id like to live that long, especially in the New Normal!
In the new normal, I don’t want to live that long!
“According to ZOE COVID Study figures, it is estimated that among unvaccinated people in the UK there are currently 19,228 new daily symptomatic cases of COVID on average, based on PCR test data from up to five days ago [*]. An increase of 27% from 15,099 last week. Comparatively there are currently 5,982 new daily symptomatic cases in partly or fully vaccinated people, an increase of 49% from 4,023 new cases last week (Graph 1 below). “
https://covid.joinzoe.com/post/delta-wave-sweeps-from-west-to-east-uk
The vaccinated are more likely to be cowering inside. The unvaccinated are more likely to be young and out and about. This is not evidence that vaccination stops you getting it.
and now this
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-57699000
the Germans are considering letting double jabbed visitors in the country. Unlikely they will go ahead if they look at the data
Or to put it another way, there are over 19000 people who are going to receive superior natural immunity, rather the problematic vaccine.
this delta variant seems like an effective vaccine with no side effects
But I bet you couldn’t catch it if you tried
Working much better than the synthetic versions
I think the key point is the much lower positivity rate if you are vaccinated (see slightly lower down the ZOE COVID report).
if you are double vaccinated (older) you are in the cohort that doesn’t go out as much as the unvaccinated (younger). I would expect positivity to be far higher in the young irrespective of the vaccine. The fact that it is higher in the unvaccinated (young) doesn’t tell us about the vaccine
The only metric worth looking at is all cause mortality.
I’ve heard they are raising the cycles for tests in the unvaccinated and lowering them for the vaccinated!! .
The CDC changed the test thresholds in April / May that creates a bias. I’m not aware the U.K. is doing the same but wouldn’t surprise me.
https://www.zerohedge.com/covid-19/caught-red-handed-cdc-changes-test-thresholds-virtually-eliminate-new-covid-cases-among?fbclid=IwAR12hmrI65qTFg_ojckGEfZnShciY5rp7o205xci-6e3T4iVLfGxcWGnxKQ
I’m sure the WHO advised that the routine test cycles should be lowered for all tests in January 21 but I’ve not seen anything to indicate the U.K. complied.
That makes perfect sense to fit the Agenda.
Why does ATL use the language of lockdownism? “Hesitant”? Really? How about “safety-conscious” or. “common sensical”. Many for one will be young women wishing to become pregnant at some stage.

Truth Twisters is great. Good name for a satirical site, like the BBC.
no mRNA vaccine has ever been licensed in 20 years of trying. they only got emergency licensing for this by avoiding proper trials. No-one has ever licensed a coronavirus vaccine
maybe some vaccines will be good, maybe some will have long term side effects or ADE.
nothing wrong with waiting to see!
I prefer “dry-mattressed’ over “hesitant”
All mRNA vaccines have been refused a licence to day because of an exceptionally high number of inflammatory/auto immune reactions – exactly what we’re seeing with the Covid vaccines.
There are lots of honourable reasons for having a wet mattress.
Cider in bed.
… or ‘ following the science’
It appears that in Norway the government are paying damages to people who have been affected by the AZ “vaccine”.
https://sciencenorway.no/covid19-vaccines/will-be-paid-damages-after-astrazeneca-vaccination/1884393
All that lovely oil money. Must be great to live there. Paying for the clean up operation.
I will happily take the vaccine on the day that the government admits lockdowns and restrictions were a catastrophic mistake that cause far more harms than benefits and legislates that it can never happen again.
If they don’t admit that then they are morons who can’t be trusted.
“86% of those of those aged 16 to 17 reported positive sentiment towards the vaccine”
Millennials and GenZ are even more stupid than I thought, and that’s official now.
They fully deserve their upcoming enslavement/extermination.
So about 14% are ‘hesitant’. Let’s see what proportion of other age groups are ‘hesitant’. Hmmm. Seems that 14% of 45-49 year-olds have been ‘hesitant’ for 14 weeks. It’s about bloody time they made their minds up, eh?
Reminds me of the Zen saying: ‘Don’t wobble’.
There’s a whole lot of wobbling going on.
What I don’t get is why reported “hesitancy” is declining?! Surely people can only have seen more evidence that the vaccines have questionable safety rather than less? 🤷🏻♀️
Constant propaganda. Side effects and questionable efficacy not reported in MSM.
For every jab given there is one fewer unjabbed. I think that has to be one of the few facts in all of this.
That headline should read….
Only around 1 in 7 older British teenagers show any common sense.
I’m anti toxic injection resolute.
Just seen a statue of the Queen being pulled down in Canada & Victoria was toppled in Winnipeg yesterday ! Whatever the reason it’s Marxism at full throttle ! We are on the edge ……..
It was in relation to the discovery of 100s of unmarked graves of indigenous children, many found near residential schools and churches.
So not “no black Irish dogs” but “no black Muslim paupers”. What a surprise. I think this shower have lost credibility on discrimination.
Unbelievable that creatures like Spector can push for gene therapy jabs on children, who are laregly unaffected by the China virus, The risk from these jabs is far higher than the virus.
Parents need to switch off the BBC and corporate media misinformation about mRNA technology as being ‘safe’ and educate themselves fast.
If the experts are divided, despite the huge amounts of ‘green persuasion paper’ being showered onto them, then a pause might be in order. You know: this might not be a good idea, so let’s pause it.
Or, as seems likely, they’re going to let the Daily Mail decide. Or let the kids decide with a free PS5.
Meanwhile Tim Spectre’s Zoo app gave all those slightly sceptical folk a free antibody test, did it? Makes you wonder where the samples ended up – and also where all the data ended up. Programmed into Black Marias satnavs?
Turns out he was another undercover Nightwatchman working for the Child Catcher.
Et tu, Toby?
Bravo to the 14% who appear to be showing a lot more common sense than some of their elders who have been brainwashed into having untested chemicals injected into their bodies.
