Not overly impressed with GB News, but they are at least challenging some of the state-enforced narrative.

Agree, but after 3 days, you would think they could get the sound balances right; either you can’t hear it or it’s deafening.

Looks to me a bit like Fox News was in the US when it first appeared – lots of superficial crap aimed at mass appeal, but still providing vital news & opinion diversity. And Fox has matured in the US and includes some very good presenters and material alongside the pap.

Fox has been pretty much the only msm tv voice resisting the pc borg in the US even a bit. Whereas here in the much more controlled UK there has been literally no msm resistance to the pc borg. Remains to be seen how far GBNews can go in that direction.

It paid off for the US in their having actual political resistance to the 2020 panic, unlike us, and that’s had real payoffs for them in terms of reopening more quickly, and genuine questioning of the panicker narrative at the very highest levels. It’ll be a lot harder to shut the US down again, whereas we can be shut down on a whim by the regime here.

“Covid disruptions next year and beyond” – Gavin Williamson.

So they finally admit that there is to be no freedom day for years (and possibly never).

How much longer are we going to put up with this?

Let me guess: for as long as they wish.

people will never connect the dots – government will trot out some kind of semi-plausible excuse, backed up by a scary chart produced by whitty/vallance/A N Other, following the science and it will be dutifully announced by a compliant MSM same as has been done the whole way through all of this.

Well, the commentators of the DT mask article get it: it’s an admission that masks are all about the fears and confidence of the superstitious bedwetters.
They have nothing to do with medical evidence, safety or efficiency.
At least, they have officially admitted that now.

Let the bedwetters stick to their dirty face nappies. Once they’re in the minority, they will merely look like what they are: silly little retards whose intelligence never progressed as far as training pants.

So it’s official: if you’re important enough, you don’t get covvie or transmit it or infect people and you don’t have to quarantine and you can do what you like.
Covvie is a disease of the plebs.
Yeah.

And still highly intelligent, cynical, anti-lockdown people I know think this is going to end and that the govt is acting in good faith. And others, more neutral, know in their heart of hearts we’re in deep trouble but bury their heads in the sand and hope it will all go away. Those people are to an extent victims of the evil, and getting angry with them for complying in their own (and my) indefinite imprisonment in this mad world is counterproductive, but it’s getting harder by the day not to be angry with them.

Can’t wait for masks to be voluntary so that we can tell who are the true believers or not.
I couldn’t give a monkeys about any of them but will be interesting.

When it’s one faceless zombie to 99 humans, instead of vice versa, they will be revealed as what they truly are.

Adamb

If it’s couched as “recommended”, I reckon a lot will still wear them. It will probably give my bed wetting employer an excuse to keep insisting on them in the office, too.

Surely it will be up to the “individual” not their employers?

SweetBabyCheeses

It depends what you mean by the word “insist”? In order for anyone to be able to insist that I wore one, it would have to get to the point where the police were called, they would pretend that I was spitting at them and hence justify physically forcing one onto me.
Insist for some people just seems to mean that people tell them it’s the new rules/policy and so they just blindly comply.

Drop in ‘infections’ is due to the snake oil and not to seasonality, eh?
Well, we’ll soon find out, won’t we?

I have a feeling that seasonality will be dragged out of the cold-store when October comes around! As with ‘climate change’, when the weather is cold it is just weather, when it is hot it is ‘climate change’.

Alistair Heath now gets it.
I don’t agree with his assessment of what’s going right and that lockdowns have saved any life’s, let alone tens of thousands, but the rest is spot on.
Liberty and Liberalism are dead now and for many decades to come, before they will be resurrected again out of the ashes of this utilitarian experiment, when it has finally ended in the inevitable catastrophe.

  • Keep wearing face masks, Britons to be told” – The face mask law, and social distancing, threatens to be turned into “advice”, the Telegraph reports, even if “freedom day” goes ahead as planned on July 19th

If they had been voluntary from the start and there had been no indoctrination, that would have been fine.

Now, this is just a way of keeping people accustomed to seeing them around and being able to ramp up mask wearing any time they need to recreate the fear. Spreading and sustaining fear is, of course, the only purpose of mass mask wearing.

Writing in CAPX, Christopher Snowdon challenges the hypothesis that it is seasonality we have to thank for the relatively low rates of Covid infections, hospitalisations and deaths, rather than the jabs

I do not doubt that vaccines reduce Covid19 rates (amongst other things ….). But look at, say, Bulgaria, which has one of the lowest (the lowest?) vaccination rates in Europe: their rates have plummeted:

https://www.politico.eu/article/why-bulgaria-is-lagging-behind-rest-of-eu-in-coronavirus-vaccinations/
https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/bulgaria/

Or Portugal, where rates cratered from the beginning of February, well before large vaccination rates were achieved.

Makes it kind of difficult to see how much is the effect of vaccinations, and how much is something else.

Mark

The point is that vaccination is a hugely inefficient way to reduce prevalence, and given the widespread precipitous drops in infections rates as the season changes it seems unlikely vaccination can have played much part.

We shall see whether it plays a part when the season changes again and the underlying herd immunity threshold rises sharply for the next winter season. That’s when vaccines might make a difference, though since there’s no reason to expect anything more than a tiny effect from covid anyway, now that it has spread around the world pretty comprehensively, it’s arguably impossible for the vaccines to make any huge positive contribution.

Most likely there will be some covid, but a different winter respiratory virus will predominate instead, and kill much the same people, more or less.

Meantime, we wait to find out what the negative effects will be of the vaccines themselves.

Snowdon talking absolute sh*te again I notice. Who has bought Snowdon?

One point to Chris don’t point to official stats when trying to construct an argument. The Chinese tests being used in the latest scam, have being cited by the highly radical (sic) CDC as useless, just like our health and education secretaries, who keep using the things on masse.

One more point Gavin Williamson must be the most inept union patsy we have ever had as a minister. Those exams MUST go back as per 2019 next year.

Folks, we have been subjected to the most horrendous and heinous psychological attack, probably in the history of humanity. This has been conceived and executed by creatures more commonly known as ‘Globalists’. These creatures have no particular creed or nationality, no cultural identity, no sincerity, no conscience and no empathy for humanity. In fact they despise the concept of national culture, tradition and heritage – they want to eliminate it altogether.

But do you know what? They have not won, otherwise the non-stop fear-mongering and propaganda would have been toned down by now. Their claims and misinformation is becoming more and more ludicrous every day. It’s no more than a pathetic parody now.

Do not yield to these monsters, hold your ground, and when the time is right, bring them to justice.

See you on the 26th.

“The latest Smiley myth: it’s not the jabs, it’s just seasonality” – Writing in CAPX, Christopher Snowdon challenges the hypothesis that it is seasonality we have to thank for the relatively low rates of Covid infections, hospitalisations and deaths, rather than the jabs Snowdon really is a contemptible arse. The ugly face of pseudo-libertarianism. He asserts all kinds of patent nonsense such as the issues with pcr tests having been “discredited”, and attributes absurdly overblown significance to details that really have no importance, in order to sustain his fantasy that the state saved us until the vaccines (state-funded) appeared on the scene. No, Snowdon, small deviations do not change the simple reality that this is a seasonal disease and the numbers dropped last year the same as they did this year, demonstrating beyond any honest question that it is not the vaccines that are responsible for this year’s fall. Seasonality does not mean a rigid calendar relationship, any more than herd immunity means nobody gets the disease.. We have no way of knowing if Snowdon really believes this stuff or if he is only saying it because he thinks he will gain personal advantage by being on the “respectable” side. If… Read more »

Can’t even bring myself to read the Snowdown article. He claimed on a podcast I heard the other day that it would’ve been much easier if they’d just called the virus Sars-2 rather than Covid-19.

Does he realise the virus is called “Sars-cov-2”. The DISEASE associated with it is called “Covid-19”, hence why claiming a positive test is a “Covid case” is grossly inaccurate.

The man doesn’t even know what the virus is called and yet writes articles claiming to debunk “myths” about it.

Christopher Snowdon seems to have issues with the very fact there are any sceptics whatsoever. He is one of many who are not satisfied that sceptics have had no signifigant successes but wants us completely demoralised, crushed and brought over to the dark side.

I fear that the Telegraph does not understand correctly when it comes to muzzle mandates, and recoiling in terror from our fellow citizens.

The Dwarf from the North has jumped the gun and blabbed that the New Normal is indefinite muzzles and isolation, even at “level 0”. I very much doubt that this is a Scotch decision; she’s simply following the same orders from the WHO/CCP as the Johnson regime will also obey.

All that’s different is that she’s yapped about it early doors to signal her loyalty.
