“Johnson and Peking Bidden agree new Atlantic Charter”. The Dominion president building back better is he?
Build back BetterGlobalists Gobble Greedily“Crowds of up to 45,000 for Euros” [in a 90,000 capacity stadium].
So confirmation it is not back to normal on the 21st, or indeed for the duration of the tournament. So when the hell is it back to normal then? (Stupid question maybe, but nonetheless I want to remind them that they owe us answers).
maybe half capacity is ‘building back better’?
“Covid vaccine left mum mute”. I note this story isn’ t on BBC “Ceefax”, not even on the Cambridgeshire or Newspaper Review or Health sections (though they do have a prominent story about the UK giving away 100m vaccines). Still, I suppose no one ever said they weren’t biased (well, maybe the Guardian did).
“If ‘freedom day’ is postponed”, get down to London or any other protest on the 26th if you can!
(Are there any outside London btw?).
There was a March in Oxford the previous Saturday it didn’t make the MSM surprisingly
Quelle surprise!
“Tests and quarantines can’t become new normal”.
So far as I’m concerned, measures which prevent people from seeing their loved ones beyond these shores constitutes a cruel and unusual (and probably illegal) punishment. Absolute disgrace.
Families were separated for decades post WW2, for those who stayed in the UK with east European families. Took about 40 years to sort that one out.
Yes. Separated by Communist Dictators who locked down their entire countries for political reasons.
Even when it became possible to travel with visas and permissions, during the late 1960s, only part of a family could travel to the UK to visit. One parent or spouse or a child had to remain in Poland as a hostage, effectively, to ensure the return of the rest. Happened to a close relative. That was done quite effectively before your government file could be accessed at the touch of a button. Imagine the possibilities now. Horrendous.
“Skull and crossbones for ‘unvaccinated’ in India”. Well I wasn’t far wrong about “some sort of a star”! A mad, mad world.
Some pretty disturbing stories today, even by the standards of the last 18 months
“No ‘Covid’ restrictions for G7 summit”.
What a surprise.
Disgusting two tier rules….. I simply LOATHE our government –
To add to the “tested or vaccinated only” for Euro 2020. I’ve long feared a rerun of the 1930’s, but it’s still shocking when you actually see it happening.
The rules are there not to make sense, but to make sure you get used to complying.
Lots of Police to protect them – all paid for by the UK taxpayer!
And an International Trade minister “not familiar with the rules.”
P45 is the answer to that then. Lying tosser.
Another disgrace of a minister — What a state our country is in – Why didn’t he say what is true — There is one rule for them and one rule for us…… Oh yes, because that would have meant telling the truth …
Any particular minister? Remember there is lots of stories and people don’t necessarily know which one you are referring to…
PS “Yes Minister” – every episode I watch seems relevant to the current nonsense!
Greg Hands – a slime ball if ever I saw one – straight away deflects the question and talks down to us as if we are naughty children: “It’s a very important meeting.” – yes, it is, for those who are going there to do their shady business deals.
Expect Cornwall to have very low ‘cases’ of Covid during and for a while after this meeting, to show that none of the un-quarantined brought Covid with them.
What does the G stand for?
Greedy? Globalist? Gangsta’s?
Just realised..I really wasn’t referring to the G in your name, in case you were wondering lol
Wasn’t Hands done for using £5k of state cash to promote himself and the Tories? For anyone else, that would have been a charge of theft; for a Tory, it’s just a half-hearted slap on the wrist and a not-very-apologetic ‘apology’.
Maybe he can’t read
Julia H-B bringing the logic again!
Ah yes, Peking Bidden and Manual Chevron. Hardly the first time we’ve had nonsense rules, to be fair.
Never mind, in another three weeks…
That interview is just a bloody embarrassment. How can he have any shred of self-respect.
A comfy job and oodles of wonga make up for a lack of self-respect. The public of Britain are in a very abusive relationship – yet seem to lap it up.
When the politicians see the herds shopping in Lidl and Aldi, they know they can get away with anything – and are.
Destroying a decent education for children to bring them up to be ever so much more malleable. Children up the chimneys of Chequers next? Children down the re-opened coal mines?
Three-word-jingles are the fashion … not long for Boris and pals to bring this one out:
Know Your Place
“Green for hugs, red for no touching” – well touch me! I wonder what amber is? I swear, things don’t get any saner.
Amber is for frotting.
Yellow for the concentration camp.
The PPE scandal is ongoing. All day everyday lorries arrive with supplies. Shipping containers dot the site, every empty space of the hospital stuffed full. All from China of course. Then they pick up the returns.
And all of it utterly, utterly useless. How the Chinkies must be laughing.
What they used to call the Chinese takeaway in Wigan before it was controversial, or so I heard.
I’ve long thought the Chinese would do well out of this nonsense, but thinking about it, it could just as easily be a sign of desperation – their economy and demographics are pretty catastrophic, and if the economy of such a regime fails, it’s panic stations. Well, g’day
Did anyone notice the complete lack of social distancing during China Joe’s address in front of all those US military personnel on his arrival in the UK? And secondly, the complete absence of masks when Boris and Mrs Boris greeted him and his wife and entourage? Handshakes and bonhomie all round. Why the mainstream media don’t hold these people to account is astonishing? Have they all been bought or are they simply all caught up in the groupthink?
Good reason to give when not complying with a facemask in a shop…. ‘I’m in line with the G7 protocol’!
Bought – lock, stock and barrel.
I wish it were ‘just’ that. Groupthink is way more insidious and pervasive and hard to counter or bring to the light.
LIES, DAMMED LIES AND STATISTICS (AGAIN).
Just had my weekly update from Shropshire health authority who informed me that there had been (shock/horror) a 34.7% increase in Covid? patients admitted to hospital; and the number of this awful, alarming, worrying increase?: 31.
And of those 31, how many are actually in FOR covid I wonder?
I refer you to my correction to that comment, Adamb.
Sorry for the confusion but obviously I totally agree.
Correction to previous
comment: not hospital admissions but positive? tests.
quick FYI for data geeks
the Winter ‘wave’ (in presumed symptomatic infections from Zoe) was caused by an R value that was above 1 for only 29 days
it went above 1 on the 6th December and the last day it was above 1 was 3rd Jan
it peaked on 18th Dec at 1.5 and rose and fell before and after quite smoothly
current R went above 1 on 22nd May and rose in 3 days to 1.7 where its stayed
it can only come down now – things are open, youngster are meeting each other, the new variant is dominant etc
R number = useful fiction.
‘r’ is meaningless BS.
Over on conservative woman, a commentator has provided a fluid dynamics explanation of why masks don’t work.
I’m saving it for future use, and it could constitute an article in itself.
I can explain the fluid dynamics here. Imagine you’re in a swimming pool. And one of the rules is “Wear Swimming Trunks to keep your piss in” and you piss in the swimming pool, in your trunks. The piss still leaks out. Same with facemasks and air.
On another note, regarding the whole 1m vs 2m social distancing garbage. I was walking about 30 metres away from a guy vaping the other day on a clear dry still day. He was obviously vaing strawberry flavour as I could smell it – 30 metres away. If could got a whiff of that then any “Viral Particles” from Covid would have been transmitted that far too !
I noticed this when following a car – about 10 metres behind – and my car filled with the scent of vape. How ridiculous, I thought, the belief that any social distancing would help.
Never seen such a sensible rule on the boards as “Wear Swimming Trunks to Keep Your Piss In” 🙂
Where I come from it’s all mad, illogical shite like , No Petting, No Bombing etc
“Matt Hancock mentioned that there had been two cases of the Monkeypox virus confirmed in the U.K.”
Yes – I noticed the beginning of the outbreak in March 2020 – people jumping around imitating each others weird gestures. More than two cases.
“Get you’re filthy paws off me, you godamn dirty ape!”
So any guesses what the annual booster might contain?
A. Ivermectin
B. Vit D/Zinc solution
C. Anti gene therapy, therapy
D. Bleach
Other outside favourites..
E. Nanobots
F. Monkeypox
G. The tears of joy wept by Matt Hancock
H. Bill Gates’ smirk converted into elemental form
I. Irn-Bru
In other news…
But should children and adolescents get vaccinated?
“Germany’s independent vaccination commission (Stiko), part of the Robert Koch Institute, doesn’t recommend vaccinations for healthy children and adolescents aged 12 to 15. They say data weighing the risk of the disease in children against the possible risk of vaccination is lacking. The Stiko is expected to soon recommend innoculation for children with certain pre-existing diseases.”
https://www.berliner-zeitung.de/en/how-do-i-get-vaccinated-in-berlin-li.163847
But then there’s this:
Germany to offer COVID-19 vaccine to children as young as 12 from June
https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/germany-to-offer-covid-19-vaccine-to-children-as-young-as-12-from-june/ar-AAKtBPS
Anyone know what the situation is?
Philip Thomas in the Spectator. “COVID-19 has been downgraded into a nasty bug which is now no more lethal than viruses such as influenza”
Which was always the case.
And saying so got and still gets you cancelled or called a far right wing Covid denier in most of todays totally mad places.
Why didn’t the Minister simply answer the question truthfully. The reason those with Diplomatic passports can travel without quarantine is because they are more important and better than you, Julia and the general population. These are our Lords and Masters now, we are here to service them and to look up to them, we are scum we need to know our place, this is an example of them displaying to us that fact.
Why the Minister just didn’t enunciate this truth evades me, he must know that is what everyone is thinking.
I couldn’t disagree more with Liz Hodgkinson’s experiences.
My wife and I never had a problem anywhere, in particular where she mentioned (B&Q, Costa, trains, restaurants) without masks and scanning.
It’s not back to normal for the staff, but for customers intent upon making it so, it almost is or can be.
I tend to agree. It doesn’t seem like she is putting up any meaningful pushback. Granted, it is awful that we are in a situation where we have to, but have to we must.
I also agree with you. I have never had trouble or been harassed about not wearing a mask; only once about not wearing a lanyard! And I am not one of those who look carefully at others in order to catch them ‘glaring’ at me, as some seem to do, judging by their comments.
Does anyone around here speak German? I’d like to see if this tweet matches the content of the Bild piece it links to. The accusation is that German Covid ICU occupancies were exaggerated fraudulently and that Merkel knew about it & used them to support harsher lockdowns.
Pretty incendiary if it’s true – that other countries were LDing was a major factor in the push for us to do it & keep doing so…

If this legal case is successful, life could get very interesting for the individuals who have supressed medical information on ivermectin treatment for covid.
