Portugal Axed from “Green List”

Portugal is due to be removed from the Government’s “Green List”, being placed on the “Amber List” from next Tuesday. It seems completely incomprehensible, given that the British Government just allowed 16,500 English football fans to travel there en masse to watch last week’s Champions League final. The Telegraph has the story.

Portugal is set to be axed from the U.K.’s green list, forcing thousands of British holidaymakers to cancel their trips or cut short their breaks to avoid quarantine.

Ministers are understood to have decided on Thursday morning to add Portugal to the amber list from next Tuesday at 4am after tests revealed what are believed to be previously-unknown variants of Covid. It will mean anyone returning from Portugal after then will have to quarantine for 10 days and take at least two PCR tests.

Sources said ministers had decided that with just weeks to go to the lifting of the final Covid restrictions on June 21, they should “not do anything that jeopardises further unlocking at this point.”

In another report, the Telegraph speculates that cases could be rising in Portugal due to – you guessed it – the British Government’s decision to allow English football fans to attend the Champions League final in Porto.

Two events have served to spark new concerns over rising infection rates in Portugal – and both involved football.

The celebrations for Lisbon’s Sporting Clube de Portugal title win saw thousands of fans gather in a cavalcade before moving into the city centre, many maskless, with few socially distancing and most singing.

It has been linked by experts to a surge in cases in the capital that saw the city centre placed on alert last week, with more than 120 cases per 100,000 people per fortnight.

The second involved the 16,500 English fans who arrived in Porto at the weekend to see Chelsea’s 1-0 victory over Manchester City in the Champions League final. Thousands were pictured ignoring social distancing rules and wearing face masks as they thronged in bars by the Douro river.

The regional health authority for the Porto area said those who were in or near fan zones at the weekend should “reduce contacts over the next two weeks” and look out for Covid symptoms.

Worth reading in full.

What makes this decision so odd is that cases don’t appear to be rising in Portugal – at least, hardly at all.

Stop Press: No countries have been added to the “Green List” today. MailOnline has more.

Another example that thinking June 21st will be the end of this is way off the mark. Pathetic colour-coded lists will exist for a very long time to come.

Colour coded lists will disappear as soon as the sheeple decide not to travel. Then the few at the very top will have the skies to themselves and the world as their playground. All paid for by those who are happy to give their freedom away in return for what…. certainly not for health safety or democratic governance.

The reality of communism: the elite at the top have everything – the best schools, shops, homes – and, as you say, the world as their playground, while the rest of humanity, much diminished in number owing to disease, vaccines etc., slave to provide them with their every need.

A few top families will rule the world and we’ll exist only to service them.

Four reported “deaths with” in Portugal in the last seven days. I suggest we nuke the site from orbit, it’s the only way to be sure.

So did all the footy fans that flew over from Britain bring the pre-and-post-flight-test-evading virus with them and then leave it behind in Porto? Or is this some new variant that only infects Portuguese people?

It disnae add up.

Lots of articles talk about standard travel insurance being invalidated as though it’s some insurmountable problem. It’s quite easy and cheap to obtain travel insurance which will cover you in countries that the government pointlessly advises not travelling to.

It’s clear – and should be to everybody – that this has nothing to do with public health, and everything to do with population control. The specifics – in this case ‘Portugal’ – are totally irrelevant – the fake justifications could just as easily be selected with a pin, as they are in terms of ‘variants’.

We are complaining about how terrible the decisions are at Covid archipelago.
Covid 19 is no longer centre stage. This is no longer about the virus. This is creeping tyranny. This needs to be stopped. Before it’s too late.

It was never about the virus, It was always about the new “vaccines” – profit and control.
This is more PR to boost uptake in the young, and deaths and heart events among them don’t matter to Boris.

The government is putting on a masterclass on how to crush the will of a large political minority while creating majority support for an unpopular policy.

Several months ago they came to the decision that Australia and New Zealand were the models to follow and since then they have slowly but relentlessly been tightening the screws and leading the country towards zero covid and closed borders.

Nearly there.

After that it will be a long wait until the rest of the world is vaccinated.

A week on from attending another massive protest against restrictions- which the government and media continue to deny happened- having danced, sang, hugged and enjoyed close human contact- we all are perfectly healthy. This is a bit of a dilemma for the government- continue in denial of the marches, or acknowledge the existence and scale of the opposition- but have something to blame for the emergence of another “variant” or “surge”.

Until the lemming majority stand up and fight this tyranny, it will carry on. When the shit starts to hit the fan once furlough ends and jobs disappear, so mortgages can’t be met and homes are repossessed, maybe they will wake up then. But too late. The aim will have been achieved.

Quite frankly those travelling to Portugal should completely ignore this bullying and propaganda. If they do comply with this ridiculous diktat, then they are complicit in turning the UK into a fascist regime. I can see another brain drain to Republican States in USA before long. It absolutely angers me that so many people are stupid enough to be frightened of a corrupt regime.

Why give space to lockdownist speculation?

And why think the decision “odd”. The decision is completely consistent with the plan of maintaining a sense of crisis into the Autumn when Digital Compliance ID can be introduced.

Interesting, the advert on Lockdown Sceptics for the ‘Pyser’ Covid test at £99!

Incidentally, the same as Collinson were charging in January when I had to pay through the nose for a PCR test and ‘quick test’ (that at another £50 demanded by the Netherlands government) at Heathrow. The company with the monopoly there is Collinson.

Laughing in your face. Pay or don’t fly.

It’s difficult watching this charade about variants. That’s because I know that no variant evades the all-important T-Cell immunity.
Based on rate of linear evolution I’d recommend we come back in a decade or two.
We won’t be needing a different vaccine before then.
If you wish to throw your liberties away for no reason, would you mind doing it in someone else’s garden?
