Government to Reveal If Lockdown Will Be Lifted on June 21st “by End of Month”

The Prime Minister has committed to announcing “by the end of the month” whether or not lockdown will come to an end on June 21st. At the same time, he will provide more details on plans for vaccine passports and mask-wearing rules beyond the fourth and final step of the “roadmap”. Boris says “I don’t see any prospect of certificates [going] into pubs”, though earlier today a Government insider hinted that the use of vaccine passports could be widened later this year due to fears about the Indian variant and a third wave of Covid infections. The Prime Minister has also said that he would like to scrap the one-metre plus” rule in hospitality settings on June 21st. Sky News has more.

Doubt had been cast on the last step on the roadmap out of the lockdown by the rising number of cases of the Indian coronavirus variant.

However, speaking on Friday, the Prime Minister said he had not seen any signs that he would have to “deviate” from plans to scrap all Covid curbs in England by next month, suggesting there was no need for so-called vaccine passports to be used to gain entry to pubs.

According to the Government’s current plan, it hopes to be in a position “to remove all legal limits on social contact” from June 21st.

It also intends to allow the reopening of premises that still remain shut – including nightclubs – and ease restrictions on large events and live performances.

Prior to this, the Government will have carried out a review of social distancing and other long-term measures that have been put in place to cut transmission.

Speaking on a visit to Portsmouth, Mr Johnson said: “We will be letting everybody know exactly what sort of arrangements to expect for June 21st.

“But what I can tell you, and just to stress that I am still seeing nothing in the data that leads me to think that we’re going to have to deviate from the roadmap – obviously we must remain cautious but I’m seeing nothing that makes me think we have to deviate.

“But on June 21st and vaccine certification – or Covid status certification I should say – people should bear in mind that I don’t see any prospect of certificates to go into pubs or anything else.”

Pressed on whether the public would continue to be asked to wear masks, Mr Johnson replied: “We will let people know as much as we possibly can by the end of the month about weddings, for instance.

“All the details we’ll try and let people know by the end of the month about exactly where we think we’ll be on June 21st, Step Four.”

Well that means by the end of next week, or worst case the monday after, so it’s no use fulminating viciously between now and then. Although there are plenty of vicious fulminators around, so fell free to fuminate away if you get off on it! fill yer boots!

what puzzles me is why he has raised the isssues and doubts. In the first place he declared, come hell or high water I’ll open up on june 21. And then, without hell or any high water at the first sight of the slightest rise, he raised doubts, and now he’s tryng to tell us it’ll happen. why could he not just shut the fuck up for a few weeks, the stupid fat fool.he’s a fucking simpleton is why. He’s a cretin.

It depends what you mean by simpleton. I don’t think he’s a simpleton in the normal meaning of the word. They are quite rare. Gullible people are everywhere however, including among the ranks of the educated. But while I think he might believe his own publicity a bit too much, I don’t think he’s that gullible either, because it is surely harder to kid a kidder, and he’s a professional kidder. I think he’s vain and cowardly. Attention-seeking, loves the exercise of power for its own sake. Talking a lot of contradictory shit has got him where he is today – why stop now?

Masks are a mark of servitude. They will not be removed until a way of publicly marking the unjabbed has been approved. Virtue signalling will then be served by pointing and screaming, a la the Bodysnatchers.

not much of a surprise, it’s been political from the start. A (now ex) friend in the USA decided to go off on a rant about trump supporting assholes(sic) in the middle of last year because her plumber dared to try and enter her house without a mask. She decided to go all Karen and call his boss to try and get him fired. Never heard how that worked out.

The Prime Minister has committed to announcing “by the end of the month” whether or not lockdown will come to an end on June 21st.

We do not need permission from Boris Johnson to take our freedoms back.

We can take them back anytime we want to regardless of what this authoritarian tyrant has to say.

This insanity only ends when we say it ends not when Boris says so.

Here is an allegory.
Everyone has a house (your body) but there are burglars (viruses). Once upon a time everyone had a big dog (immune system) to guard against burglars which were very effective but occasionally people got burgled especially as the dog got old. Some clever bugger (Bill Gates) thought a burglar alarm (vaccine) was needed especially because there was some new kid on the block robbing and he thought people’s dogs would not be angry enough to frighten this new burglar away.
He convinced most people to get his burglar alarm and made a lot of money but some people held out preferring their trusty dog. He then tried to convince people that we couldn’t be safe unless everyone had his burglar alarm which was a ludicrous suggestion. Further he said it was likely that the burglar alarm would need regular updates as different burglars came along with new ways to break in. The folks with dogs said: “My dog doesn’t give a fuck he bites anyone including Bill Gates should he come near“.

Here is another allegory. There was this stupid fucking idiot who, when a cabal of globalist tyrants decided to seize total power and said they were only doing it because there was a virus, was so stupid that he actually believed there was a virus…
Oh sorry, wait, that’s not an allegory, that’s just your post

Public to reveal if they give a fuck what the govt says on June 21st.

stewart

Our relationship with the state changed forever in March 2020 when the government forced us all into house arrest and we accepted it.

We are no longer free, we have accepted totalitarianism and those in government know it.

We are now hostages of our government. We make all the ransom payments demanded of us (stay at home, keep your distance, don’t visit anyone, wear a mask, take a test, take a vaccine, get a vaccine passport) but freedom never fully comes. And we are so demoralised we cheer at the scraps we are giving and wait like helpless creatures for the next few scraps.

For anyone under any illusions, this never ends. Ever. Our world changed forever in March 2020 when we gave our freedom away.

Vaccine passports won’t be needed in pubs, however given the amount of time that the government has spent talking about them no doubt they’ll be needed for large events as well as international travel. Once people get used to the idea of using them occaisionly and there’s a slight increase in “cases” in the Autumn they’ll be required in more and more places. Basically the government realised that there was sufficent public opposition that they couldn’t do what they wanted in one big step, so they’ll do it lots of small steps, none of which on it’s own creates much opposition. In response to people who say Boris is stupid, it looks like he, or more likely however is pulling the strings, is actually pretty clever and knows how to get what they want.
