London Has Zero Covid Deaths on One Day for First Time in Six Months

Zero deaths from Covid have been reported in London for the first time in six months, according to Public Health England (PHE). BBC News has the story.

PHE figures for March 28th showed no deaths had been registered of patients within 28 days of a positive coronavirus test.

At the height of the crisis last April, about 230 deaths a day linked to the virus were recorded in London.

“This is a fantastic milestone, but we’re a long way from returning to normal,” one doctor said.

It is the first time the daily Covid figures have shown zero deaths in the capital since September.

Dr Jim Down of University College Hospital says that, while Covid cannot be forgotten about, the focus of hospitals should start shifting to the non-Covid health crisis.

We’re down to about seven Covid patients on the intensive care unit and we’re expecting them to get better.

It’s a wonderful feeling but it sets up new challenges.

The backlog for people needing hip replacements and cancer treatment is vast. You need to start bringing them back in but keep the hospitals ready in case of a third wave.

Professor Karol Sikora has similarly stressed the urgency of dealing with the huge backlog of non-Covid patients.

Over the last year, politicians have been adopting untried and untested policies, the consequences of which none of us can yet fully grasp. The main aim, of course, of these extraordinary lockdown measures has been to suppress Covid in order to reduce pressure on our hospitals. That has been the metric on which Government approval has been judged.

Whether or not you agree with every restriction, it is clear that this focus has sucked the oxygen away from other pressing health issues. Covid required a response unlike anything we have seen in modern times. But was it right that this happen at the expense of so many other illnesses which have torn apart millions of families?

Too often it has been framed as Covid or cancer; it does not need to be like this. We turned the country on its head to deal with this virus; we now need to tackle the non-Covid health crisis with the same vigour.

Currently, the number of people waiting to receive hospital treatment in England stands at 4.6 million (a record high).

Talking about so-called covid deaths Iain Davis has put together a good analysis of recorded covid deaths in the UKColumn today. Nothing is particularly new but he summarises all aspects well and argues convincingly that deaths are not 146,000 but more like 15,000. It describes the way the government, PHE and WHO constructed a new mechanism for recording death certificates that guaranteed vastly over-stated numbers associated with covid, supported of course by the RT-PCR test results.
Its very difficult to see anything but prior planning in this mechanism that produces the desired numbers with no way of auditing them.

As Coronaviruses are seasonal with lifecycles of 6-9 months it’s to be expected that infections will decrease as we move into Spring.

This is a good video: http://www.bitchuteDOTcom/video/6GUdK7ByB8Kb/

yes, – we all knew back in april by looking at sweden. our modellers then were predicting a massive summer wave for sweden and they are doing the same for us now

And the fact that Sweden had no summer wave but still had a bad autumn/winter wave (it seems like both lockdown supporters and lockdown sceptics made wrong predictions) shows the importance of seasonality for this virus.

I’m not sure, as cases were already coming down before the first lockdown then they should have let it continue, with good advice and education to those who needed to be careful and the rest of us got on with life last April – there there would have been no “2nd” wave, just a slightly longer 1st one. Add to that the care home deaths caused by the NHS and it’s terrible infection control and we really have been right, lockdowns were never needed. A virus so deadly you have to fine people for ignoring advice, really?!

you can see from a comparison of sweden and uk that nothing we tried was of any use.

That was the point I made about wrong predictions: many lockdown sceptics predicted Sweden wouldn’t have a 2nd wave (they were wrong, because while the 1st wave took Sweden to the summer HIT, the winter HIT is considerably higher).

Doctor Jim Down of University College Hospital says

‘The backlog for people needing hip replacements and cancer treatment is vast. You need to bring start bringing them back in (sic) but keep the hospitals ready in case of a third wave’.

They just can’t help themselves can they? Drip dripitty drip ” third wave” on the basis of no evidence whatever.
If one were to take a straw poll of Joe Public asking him ‘what chance a third wave ?’ I expect many would reply

‘. . . stands to reason dunnit, there’s been first and second waves so bound to be a third or how come we ain’t out of lockdown yet ? I blame them covidiots’.

The challenge being how to keep the COVID bandwagon rolling and keep the NPIs and medical dominance in place despite all evidence to the contrary

You might recall how they tried to big up the second wave by noting that ITU beds were again in danger of being overwhelmed. A helpful member of staff pointed out that more patients were surviving than in the first wave and that they subsequently needed ITU care which was described as ‘a problem’.

What no spike after we all marched on the 24th. Mixing, hugging, kissing on the streets, close! No Way. But social distancing keeps us alive. Masks prevent the spread. What happened?

Breaking news over 50k people marched in central London .. and case numbers dropped. BBC please give us your wisdom – many unvaccinated, none of us wearing masks – and worst of all – we were smiling and laughing. And the numbers dropped. Surly not!

And in London for some time now deaths from virus have been in single figures. But London Ambulance Service attending 37 suicides/attempted suicides per day. The government is killing the people. Shame on them.

It’s a poor show and I’m sure PHE will be issuing ‘Must Try Harder’ reports to the medical profession in London. Having wiped out influenza by misattributing those deaths to Covid they really must find other deaths to re-classify as Covid. Or perhaps they should extend the 28 days from a false positive PCR test; to three months? Otherwise, how on earth will the Government be able to justify extending the lockdown?

But we still have a long way to go!! How can you go further than zero? Are they planning to start bringing people back from the dead now? They are so ingrained in the narrative they just can’t let it go can they?

Ah but I’m sure we’re just cherry picking data here. There is bound to be a surge leading to a 4th /5th/87th wave, leading to 500,000 dead. I know this because I went to the park today and most people weren’t wearing masks outside (note some cretinous plonkers were) and so we’re all going to DAAAAEEEEEE.
