“All the Modelling” Predicts Another Covid Surge This Year, Says Chris Whitty

“All the modelling” suggests there will be another Covid surge this year, Professor Chris Whitty has warned MPs. The Telegraph has the story.

The Chief Medical Officer told the Science and Technology Committee that despite the success of the vaccine rollout, some people couldn’t or wouldn’t have it. There are also some people for whom the vaccine would not be effective, he noted.

“Even if you have a relatively small proportion of people still remaining vulnerable, that still equates to a very large number” who could be at risk from Covid, Prof Whitty said.

He added: “All the modelling suggests at some point we will get a surge in the virus. We hope it doesn’t happen soon – it might happen later in the summer if we open up gradually, or if there is a seasonal effect it might happen over the next autumn and winter.

“But all the modelling suggests there is going to be a further surge, and when it happens it will find the people who have not been vaccinated or where the vaccine has not worked. Some of them will be hospitalised and sadly some of them will die.”

As Toby asks, if another Covid surge is predicted for later this year, why are the Nightingale hospitals being closed?

I suppose when Chris ‘surge’ Whitty gets back into his coffin every night he doesn’t really think of the harm his glacial unlock is causing. If Ocado keeps delivering new soil from Romania then what does it matter to him? Maybe his ulterior motive is to create an army of virgins

Whitty says

if there is a seasonal effect “

I think its pretty obvious by now that there is.

Didn’t he also say before lockdown 1 that we dont want to lockdown too hard or we’ll just get a winter rebound? Isn’t that just what he’s doing again?

Chief Medical Officer doesn’t know if there’s a ‘seasonal effect’? Gissajob, I can do that!

‘all the modelling’ then says it doesn’t include seasonality! So its just Imperial’s model again.
Anyway doesn’t surprise anyone, its just another way of putting more pressure on society as a whole to force compulsary vaccination. Otherwise people will die!
A shock trooper of the new biosecurity fascist totalitarian regime, what different behaviour does anyone expect?

I would like the modellers to apply their models to the zero-covid philosophy. Lockdown until there is not a single case left anywhere. I expect it would be the end of civilisation but maybe if it works we could do the same for athlete’s foot.

You will get it.
It won’t go away.
If it does, it will come back.
If you’ve had it, you will get it again.
Then you’ll have ‘long covid’.
There’s no immunity.
You can have it without knowing.
Pretend you’ve got it.
You can still get it if you’ve had the vaccine…

“But all the modelling suggests there is going to be a further surge, and when it happens it will find the people who have not been vaccinated or where the vaccine has not worked. Some of them will be hospitalised and sadly some of them will die.”

Really?? Just give it a rest, ferchrissakes.

Doublethink again: ‘Although it’s a relatively small number it’s a very large number!’ Er – what?

the lower the numbers go, the more chance of a rebound

Otherwise known as “winter flu season.”

I’ll just correct it for him slightly though, I mean we don’t want everyone quacking in their boots, or do we???

The majority of them will have natural immunity and/or a robust healthy immune system to fight it off.

sounds like we are going round in circles

This is what happens when you let the likes of Chris Whitty do the modelling.

Things were far better when modelling was done by professionals like Claudia Schiffer.

Don’t know where else to post this, tonight in FranceSoir ( you would never get a paper like this in UK). Its a thorough paper analysing the fractal nature of the SARS2 genome, and they reckon there is a 1 in 5m chance its not manufactured. Its a combo of three coronovirus. Stick into google translate.
Good news is they whilst they can see why its unstable where it forms bond with ACE , it shouldn’t be more lethal after variations.

More fuel for the perpetual lockdown

Listen meine little kinder.
We closed all of the hospitals for a year and so now there are 6 million people waiting for appointments and an entire nation with zero immunity to things like colds and flu.
So, all things considered, it is best to start thinking about next winter and a new lockdown to help us cope with this problem. Simple.

Did any of the Nightingale Hospitals ever have a single patient? So the ‘closing down’ is redundant, isn’t it?

Time to read again that 2017 BMJ opinion piece by Tom Jefferson re.the revolving door of government appointments and the overwhelming influence of the pharmaceutical industry.

We’re certainly now reaping what was sown.

Interesting, isn’t it, how Whitty always comes up with another panic story just as people are lowering their anxiety levels. Thus population immunity levels shoot up from an estimate of 60% to 80%, wild daily death levels are forecast, new variants appear like a Tommy Cooper joke trick, masks suddenly become the fashion of the day et. etc.

What does it take for these clowns to get their P45s? (Probably by talking scientific sense?)
